(Adopted from Caws.ws - Let's stick with what works ;D )
No Disruptive Posting
No flaming/swearing/cussing (outside of RP) at other users. If you don't like someone, be nice about it or keep your opinions to yourself.
No blank posts, double/triple posts, identical posts/topics, rubbish posting, pointless one word posts, or spam.
Continuous short and unnecessary replying to topics may be considered disruptive. Do not post for the sake of increasing your post count, only post if you have a contribution to make to the discussion.
Harassing Other Members via PM
We understand that you want to make friends here, but don't go around harassing every member underneath the sun about joining a stable/forming a team. If someone tells you "No" the first time don't pester them about it. If the situation is reported to staff, the person at question will be warned. If the problem continues, that user will be released immediately. We have no tolerance for troublemakers.
Friendly Posting
We will also not tolerate excessive swearing and rudeness towards other members. Lots of young people use this site, so please keep things helpful and friendly. Any negative comments should be kept to yourself and not sent in PMs! Also NOTHING in RP should be taken to heart or as a blow to you in reality. If you can't handle that, leave now and save us the drama.
Mod Bashing
Our rules on being polite to other members also of course extend to our staff. It is not acceptable to abuse or otherwise 'speak trash' about our team. The forum is run how we think best, and we only try to make it the best place we can for our users. Constructive feedback is of course always welcome, but users seeking to cause trouble by publicly complaining about members of staff, will be dealt with accordingly.
If you have a problem with how things are ran around this forum, bring them up to me (ZX) directly via PM.
Becoming a Moderator or part of GZWA Staff, Match Writers, etc.
We will choose people who we believe would make a good moderator in an area where one is needed. If we want you to become a moderator, we will contact you. Please do not request to become a moderator, you will most likely be denied or ignored. Continuously asking will reduce your chances.
Topic Bumping
Please do not bring back old/dead topics, and do not bump your own topics multiple times a day. If you have posted a question, be patient and someone will eventually answer it.
Topic Hijacking/Similiar Topics
Please stay on topic when replying to posts, and if you have your own questions, make your own topic.
Before you create a topic, look and see if there's a topic already like it before we have like 10 of the same topic talking about the same game or wrestling event.
Advertising or Spamming
You may only advertise your own website/forum in your signature. Links to useful & relevant websites may be posted in topics, but advertising your own is not permitted.
Users caught sending PM advertisements will also receive warnings or a ban or most likely deleted from the forums altogether. Users caught or reported about spamming other members on storyline ideas will be either banned or released from GZWA on the spot.
No Adult-Oriented Content
You may not post references to, links or images to or of adult-oriented material (porn). Diva images are allowed as long as no private body parts are showing. For our younger members, we suggest labeling your posts as "NSFW" for your images that show more skin than others.
Post in the right board!
Please look at all the boards before you post, there is often a separate board for what you are posting about. For example, don't post a RP in the CAWs board.
Releases and Probation
GZWA releases inactive members on a monthly basis. We will also use a probation system to kindly warn members that they are pending to being released for inactivity.
Posting CAWs & Credit
Any creations posted must be done so with full credit to the person who made them. If you use parts from someone else's CAW on your own, make sure to give credit. Users found 'stealing' CAWs will be warned or banned.
Keeping up with Current Storylines and Fueds
It is YOUR responsibility as a member of GZWA to keep up with the storylines prior to picking a fight with someone. We much rather you PM a staff member and ask what’s going on rather than posting and making a complete fool of yourself.
Asking for Title Shots
Repeatedly asking for title shots or whining win you lose or lose a title can and WILL get your character fired from GZWA. Every Superstar should be patient and wait for their chance at gold. Don't expect to get a title as soon as you've walked into the door, because it's NOT happening. Still there are rare occasions when we notice people doing really well and we provide them a title shot to highlight their achievements. Also to be fair, we provide title shots to Superstars and Divas who deserve an opportunity to have a fresh start after having a bad losing streak. But we normally follow this regime for title shots: Win a few matches, including a PPV match, and its more likely staff will consider you to get an opportunity at gold.
Using Multiple Accounts
All members are allowed TWO characters max on their registered forum account. That being said, any member that has been a part of GZWA for over a year will have that max limitation increased to THREE characters max. ANY user found using multiple accounts and/or sharing their account with another user will be banned/released immediately without question. NO exceptions.
For those wondering, that character limit also includes managers/valets. So there's no unfair work-around that any one member is controlling more than 2-3 characters max.
Superstars' & Divas' Profiles
Remember, you guys and gals make your OWN characters' profiles/bios. I don't do that. Besides, I'm sure all of you are as creative as I am, and more likely even more so. Wikipedia, Obsessedwithwrestling.com, WWE.com, ECW.com, and TNAWrestling.com are all good sites to use to get real wrestler profiles and pictures from.
Please regularly update your character(s) bios. It helps myself and the match writers on doing your matches if you have a diverse and detailed moveset. If you need help stepping outside of the box on your arsenal, don't be afraid to ask.
Promos for Primetime/PPVs
Your first promo you post for the upcoming event(s) is the one that counts. If you post a new promo after the initial one, it does NOT count towards your match decision. This ruling is to prevent members from waiting to post just to 'counter' what their competition says in their own promos.
Members are welcome to edit/modify their initial topic/post until the deadline date, though. Multiple posts (within a single topic) are encouraged for those who enjoy writing a narrative-like promo/roleplay for their match build-ups.
"Recharge Periods" for Recently Dropped Characters
For popular characters, such as trending real life wrestlers and celebrities, if one person drops that character or is released due to inactivity there will be a 2 month recharge period before any currently registered member can apply as that character. The only exception to this 'recharge' rule is for newcomers to the federation.
Also, if I find out that people are dragging friends into playing characters that they want that are 'recharging' for them, then ALL parties involved will be banned from the forum permanently.
Overly Large Signatures
I thought that this wouldn't be a problem but people have begun to take my kindness too lightly. The forums' coding I've implimented resizes images at the cost of more load times on pages, but those of you with multiple signatures are lagging the forum even more. If your fellow users have to SCROLL the page to get past your posts consistently to see the next post past your wall of signatures then you have a problem.
As a result, a new standard size for signatures will be addressed and violators of this rule will have their right to express themselves with a signature will be removed. An ideal size to shoot for is no larger than 500 (wide) x 200 (tall) in size.
All members are allowed ONE signature that's it. No extra gifs or anything else. Several small (100 x 100) side by side horizontally are fine. If you need multiple use a signature rotator like I have.
Violators of this rule will receive TWO warnings and then their ability to post signatures will be removed from their accounts.
