I'm going to start a vain attempt to revive this board, since I do happen to get wrestling related news in my news feed on Facebook daily so I'll try to start posting notable articles here, starting with this one below.
Believe it or not, but I happen to follow women's wrestling more than the male-oriented stuff more than that I'm older. WWE doesn't seem to highlight the fact that there's plenty of ladies out there in the sport that can go just as well as the boys nowadays, but that doesn't stop me from finding outlets where that's the norm.
I know several of you around here either love or hate Trish Stratus and Lita, especially with their recent additions to WWE '13's roster. But don't forget the women who have paved the way or helped push them into their wealth of success and popularity. People seem to forget that WWE had more than just 2 talented Divas in their 'glory' years. Just sayin'.

Has WWE forgotten about some of the finest female wrestlers their company ever had to offer? I'd like to think so since we never hear anything about Ivory (Lisa Moretti), Jacqueline (Jacqueline Moore) and Molly Holly (Nora Greenwald).
Although WWE had a feature on "Where are they Now?" depicting both Ivory and Holly, what about Jacqueline? Jacqueline also seems to be absent from their Alumni section honoring past Superstars and Divas.
Jacqueline, although small in stature, proved she could mess it up with anyone much taller or bigger than her. Proving herself a force to be reckoned with, she also ushered in the renewal of the Women's Division and Women's Championship in her feud with sexpot Sable (Rena Mero).
Jacqueline is also in the history books for being the first African-American to with the title as well as having won the Cruiserweight Championship, a title only held by men.
While Jacqueline was an integral piece of women's history, she is often overlooked and overshadowed by other Divas such as Trish Stratus, Chyna and Lita. It's a shame really that a lot of women do not get the recognition they deserve.
Another former Women's Champion, Jazz who took on Trish Stratus, is another female who is overlooked. Jazz commanded respect in the ring, gave respect when it was due, and proved she was as tough as they come.
In my opinion, Jazz helped elevated Trish Stratus into a credible and believable women's wrestler. Her feud with Stratus' was one of both ladies' best. They definitely brought each other to new levels and yet, no one remembers or talks about Jazz.
Ivory is one of the most formidable veterans of women's wrestling. She had such versatility from being a nasty heel to being a fan favorite.
It seemed as though her niche was being a nasty heel and she always delivered amazing matches filled with skill, emotion, excitement and amazing power.
Although Ivory is featured on the WWE's Alumni section, she too is one of the Divas that have seemed to become "forgotten."
Molly Holly, the Holly cousin was a fan favorite from the moment she debuted. Her amazing athleticism provided fans with the knowledge that women could be technical wrestlers more so than just eye candy.
Molly's wholesome 'girl next door,' looks often were an asset because people didn't think she'd be tough enough in the ring. But, she proved most people wrong.
Molly even took newcomer Gail Kim under her wing and taught her more than enough to know how to be a great heel.
Molly's heel role came at the expense of both Lita and Trish Stratus yet she was never given the due respect warranted for her amazing matches.
It seems like all the ladies I have mentioned were either released, or turned into "trainers" or "announcers," and faded into the background.
Long gone are the days of technical wrestling, great storylines, and honorable champions. I yearn for those days to return, to have Ivory nagging Chyna for being "immoral."
To see Molly Holly rip Lita's book in half and smack her with it. To see Jazz giving Trish Stratus a reason to want to be better.
These women, while not mentioned a lot, won't soon be forgotten by me. That's a promise I can keep.
