Complete and total silence. This is the fear of all who walk out here onto the ramp from the back. Even the most well-known wrestlers, no matter if they're popular or hated...no matter how confident you are...this is one of the biggest unknowns to us as we stand at the back awaiting our entrance music. The chance we are taking is just as likely as that of our possibility of leaving the ring in a stretcher. Hell, leaving the ring on a stretcher would be a godsend to anyone who faces the possiblity of a silent reaction. A silent reaction in this business is a signed death warrant to any and all who suffer it.
It results from a lack of care, a lack of interest in the individual experiencing it. One of the first tests for us is to deal with this in the early matches of our career. How we react to it, how we handle it, how we use it to our advantage or disadvantage determines the path of our entire career. Yes, it's true that no one ever walks out to a completely silent reaction. There's always going to be those drunk fans that cheer at anything that moves or the ones that are excited to see wrestling action, and there are also those who just know they should cheer or boo for the hell of it to make the show better.
With loss after loss here in GZWA, the possibility of experiencing the silent reaction increases. At every non-televised show, there's always those guys who are in the ring just to lose, to be pinned or tap out in the center of it. They serve no other purpose. They live with the silent reaction. They are used to it. I, Hano Eiyu, could never get used to a silent reaction. However, if I keep on this path of constant losses on my record, I will not be given a choice. Something has to change. Something is holding me back.
The calendar will change from 2013 to 2014, there's a saying..."Out with the old, in with the new." This week on Primetime, I'm pitted against Mike Bradley. A man who has gone through the hardships of retaining his Television Championship. For once in my career, I will be matched up with a slightly stronger individual. What's another saying? The bigger they are...the harder they fall? Bradley. You will fall to the one and only Hano Eiyu. This is the end of 2013 and I have something to prove. I have to prove that I am worthy of those cheers I get from the crowd each week. I have to prove that I deserve a worthy partner for the Tag Team tournament here in GZWA. I have to prove that the Hano Eiyu of early 2013 is nothing more than a distant memory, that the new Hano Eiyu is destined for greatness.
The tension is thick in the air here. So thick it could be cut with a knife. Normally this lockerroom is bustling with talking amongst each other or trash talking when some of the assholes come in here. Not today, not before the biggest show of the year. Everyone's nerves are rattled and they act as if their lives depend on how well they do in tonight's match. Apparently mine is on the line for real since Mike Bradley thinks that he will defeat me. Xion Zeros thinks that this champion will stop me. He thinks that after my match with Mike Bradley that he will finally be rid of me. That Bradley will hospitalize me, or put me on the injury list for good, or possibly even kill me. Hell, I didn't even look at the contract that I signed, maybe there's a death clause in there where GZWA and more specifically ZX himself isn't responsible for what happens in that match.
Luckily that goes both ways. Mike Bradley, he wants to make this the best match ever. Going through many strong opponents, even a corrupt referee in the way. Other members of the roster telling me I will make it as a champion in the form of a janitor. A janitor? That's perfect for tonight. Call me The People's Janitor, because I'm being sent into the ring to clean up the mess the other contenders have left behind. Just as I told them all, I can beat them again and again. Just because that's all you're capable of doing without being fired is wrestling in the Television division doesn't make you perfect for the Television division. The only thing you're perfect for is an ambulance.
I do not fear you. I will not cower in front of you when we get into the ring together. Most of these other men in here in the locker room with me, they're nervous because they are afraid of screwing up in front of the people. They don't want to make a single mistake on TV that will cost them the victory of their match or cost them the title belt they are fighting over. Myself? I'm not afraid, I'm not nervous. I'm ready. To tear you apart. To beat you within an inch of your life. Hell, that death clause might even go both ways to where if you're killed, no one will be responsible either. I'm sure the state wouldn't mind it if you were gone. I'm sure the taxpayers wouldn't mind either.
You think that just because I'm from Japan that the people secretly hate me, but the thing is that I think you're so delusional and so caught up in your own little world, that you fail to hear the cheers. You fail to realize that someone who is here to restore respect and to defeat people like you are exactly what the fans want. It's who the fans want to cheer. I take the responsibility each week of defeating men such as yourself. I take on the burdens of the world onto my shoulders and carry it around.
You have turned the Television division into your own little domain, your own little territory. To defeat you, I have to enter it and have to survive it. I can and I will. I fear no pain. Especially one such as yourself. You think that I do not deserve to be the best. I don't think you deserve this belt. The only reason you hold onto it is because none of your opponents could handle your power. They couldn't handle how you are. They weren't willing to play your little games. They feared you. As I said, I do not fear you. I have no reason to.
I'm not a pushover like half the guys you have faced here in GZWA. I'm Hano Eiyu, the People's Choice. I proudly hail from Japan. I represent my people, not only the ones in Japan, but in the entire world. The people, they call for your undoing. They call for you to prove yourself as the GZWA Television champion. I am here to answer their call. I come for you. Your wicked deeds, they end here. Your iron grip on the Television division is loosened tonight when I prove the world that I'm the Five Star Show Stealer. Tonight, I walk up to your throne that you are perched upon. I will grab you and slam you off of it. I will climb on top of it as the crowd cheers me on and I will fly off of it through the air and will drive my elbow into your sternum with a Burning Hammer to end your reign. Then I will ascend your throne once more and hold up my hand above the world to the people and show them that I am the best. That I still have got the guts to beat you or anyone here in GZWA.
The thing is, when I perform the Burning Hammer tonight, it will not be my elbow. It will be the elbow of every person who has suffered at your hands. It will be all the people who loathe and hate you in the world. I will draw my strength from the masses and drop the biggest Burning Hammer in history. The people better be on hand, because this Burning Hammer could be so massive, the impact so severe that the crowd will get off their chair. You think you can beat me because you're the champion? Wait until you actually get a glimpse at what your eternity will be like. When you are brought back into the ring, it will be you that is afraid. It will be you who looks into my eyes and sees what fear truly is.
This is a non-title match tonight. I will be bringing everything I have. I will not just bring a couple of flying moves and a submission or two and hit you with a couple of them and then hit you with a move and pin you, no. This match will be epic. This match will redefine five stars. This is the match that people will be talking about for a very long time. This match will be a message to Rocky Romero, it will be a message to everyone who stands in my way to restoring respect to GZWA. Many members of the roster think that in all this, that I have forgotten about him. I haven't. I will come for you next.
Fear me. For you have unleashed a side of Hano Eiyu that will not be stopped. You thought by pitting me against the Television champion that not only would I stay away from the main event, but that I would also be humiliated, hopefully for the rest of my contract. No, Mr. ZX, you have done nothing more than open Pandora's Box. You have unleashed brutality and violence upon anyone you put in my path. You put me right back where I belong here in GZWA. Apparently, you forgot the footage you saw from the tapes that you were shown when you first gave me a contract here.
I am not the same man that I was when I stood in the ring waiting for Dustin Holt to walk through the curtain. Even then, I was feared. I'm not the same man who came down the rafters and wore the samurai costume. The evidence of that should come from me exploding out of Riot Control and becoming the winner. More evidence will come in the non-title match when I pin Mike Bradley after the Burning Hammer. I will begin my taking back of the federation from people like you, Rocky Romero, and all the teams of GZWA.
Speaking of teams, I am looking for a partner for the tag team tournament. I know you do not need so as you wish for a solo career, but nonetheless, you have the backing and cheering from one more person. My future ally, alone we cannot win against them, but together they will go down. They will not go down in history like they want to, like a group with an iron hold on GZWA. No, they will go down in history as a forgotten memory. Tonight, this begins with the rise of both me and you as the first tag team champions. They cannot survive while people like myself and my future tag team partner are around. It's ironic, the ones that have to stop the tyranny within GZWA are a Japanese and a stranger. Tonight, it begins...
Out with the old...in with the new? Looks like that means only one thing...
