The already recognizable setting of GZWA's "Hot Spot" was in the ring of the arena as the fans in attendance started chanting "Christy! Christy! Christy!". Soon enough "Heart Attack" by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour blasted through the speakers and the lights got dimmer. "The Rockin' Interviewer" Christy Hemme stepped through the curtains with her trademark grin and winked cheekily at the camera. Making her way down the ramp she waved and high-fived some of the fans surrounding her and finally entered the ring. Getting a microphone from one of the stagehands, Christy smiled brightly at the cameras as the music faded out.
Hello, all of you beautiful fans in attendance. It didn't take long for another edition of our fiery interview show, where the most important questions are asked. And of course, I am your host, Christina Lee Hemme. Welcome and let us begin.
Smiling she paced across the ring slowly, while still keeping contact with the audience around the ring.
Apparently, our show is becoming a career ending experience. After my last interview with Tim Burton's lesbian fantasy, known as The Daughters of Darkness, both AJ Lee and Paige decided to leave our wrestling company. Do I have anything to say as the last person to interview the quirky duo?
The camera zoomed in on Christy's face as she had a cocky little grin gracing her face and quickly showed the Vulcan salute.
Live long and prosper.... Preferably in Siberia. Or North Pole.
Zooming out, the camera once again showed the full setting and Christy turning towards the entrance ramp.
Since that is out of the way, lets get back to the interview. I am more than excited to welcome these lovely ladies to the ring today. A lady so divine, who is considered to be a breath taking athlete, combining those stunning looks and old school sportsmanship. Her partner in crime has a personality as vibrant as her hair. She is bold, fresh and unstoppable. I believe you already know, who I want to invite to the ring tonight. It is Delta Madison and Endee Leights, known as the Ladies of Doom.
The powerful chords of KITTY HAWK by Ki:Theory plays, signaling the entrance of the Ladies of Doom. When the first “KITTY HAWK” is roared in the theme, Delta and Endee emerged from the curtains in the same intense manner of the song. Both wearing casual attires - Delta wearing denim skinny jeans, with a white singlet top and their trademark LOD crop jacket in pink; Endee sporting mini sparkly black shorts, a pastel yellow crop top with their logo printed.
Both walked down the ramp at the same pace, slapping a few hands of the fans. Delta walked up the steel steps, whilst Endee slid underneath the bottom rope. Delta climbed beneath the middle rope as Endee flipped her long blue hair to get to her feet. The ladies posed on the opposite turnbuckles of each other, pointing at the fans. Delta and Endee jumped down and greeted Christy with smiles, proceeding to shake her hand. Their theme song faded, with Delta grabbing an additional microphone from the stagehand.
“Don’t worry Christy, hopefully this time around you will get much luck with us.” Delta jokingly said, shrugging her shoulders. “But it’s great to be here, thank you for inviting us.”
Thank you so much, ladies, for coming on the show. I believe congratulations are in order for your amazing matches in the tag team tournament. Even with a bump or two on the road, you girls managed to make such an impact. What was your experience with the tag team tournament so far? After the loss to the Emo Duo, Paige and Jimmy Jacobs, did you anticipate to make it this far to the semi-finals and possibly be one of the teams in the first ever Tag Team championship match?
Delta handed the microphone over to Endee to answer the question.
“That’s such a compliment, thank you Christy. It has been one long journey for us, but it’s been worthwhile. I remember when my sister called me up earlier in the year asking me to team up with her, I thought we wouldn’t last.”
Endee pouted at her older sister who shot her a not too pleased look.
“After enduring this tournament together this far, it has brought us closer together as sisters. So I’m very thankful to team with someone who is at the same wavelength as me.”
Delta couldn’t stay mad at her sister, now embracing in a sisterly hug with Delta messing up Endee’s hair in the process. Delta took the microphone from her sister to add her take on the question.
“Every match we had, we took it with stride. Paige and Jimmy Jacobs was an obstacle no doubt, but we decided we weren’t going to let that loss get us down. We were just lucky to take part in the losers bracket to allow us to work our way up once again. And now be part in the semi-finals and one step closer towards the gold is a sign our hard work is paying off."
Christy smiled at the sisters lovely embrace as she took a quick glance at her question cards in hand. Focusing her attention back on Endee and Delta, she raised the microphone to her lips.
I have to say, that you two are that rare combination of not only managing to talk the talk, but also prove your words in the ring. The wrestling world does need more athletes like you, girls. I'm a right?
The audience cheered both Christy and the Ladies of Doom wildly tonight, as Christy smiled brightly.
Now, on the next Primetime you'll be facing off The MisFits, containing of Casey Cortez and Laura Jackson. Both of these girls are known not only for putting up a fight, but also using sneaky tactics such as interference from their team members and cheating their way out of a loss. How do you predict this match will resolve? Do you wish for a fair fight, or maybe you already have some tricks up your sleeves to stop Amanda Cortez's little entourage in place and eliminate them from the tournament?
Delta raised the microphone back up to her lips, resting her left hand on her hips.
“I’m not sure if people remember this, but our preliminary round was against The MisFits and we beat them fair and square.”
Delta cockily smiled looking over to Endee, handing the microphone over her sister.
“That doesn’t mean we will take them lightly or anything. Both girls are tough and it’s a fact because they have sustained their position in this tournament after being knocked out so early. But, I think it’s pretty cool since we are meeting again, this time to secure our place in the finals. It’s sort of coming full circle, isn’t it? So we are very excited to face Laura and Casey again, it will be one hell of a match.”
We can only wish you the best of luck in your upcoming match and hope to see you with championship gold around your waists soon enough. Ladies, you now know every tag team in this company. What are your thoughts on the current state of the tag team division? Maybe we're lacking something or do you think that you're all as good as it gets?
Looking through her question cards, Christy quickly looked back up and smiled.
Endee passes the microphone back to Delta.
“That’s a good question Christy. We have gone toe to toe with the most interesting, unique and strong tag teams in this tournament. We have seen teams either implode or conquer, we are happy as the latter. But, there is nothing wrong with some healthy competition - if any new tag teams want to emerge and challenge us, we are always up for it.
Delta brashly paced around, gesturing she was ready for any challenge. She then handed the microphone back to Endee.
“I think it’s fantastic that GZWA is putting so much focus on the tag team division. People tend to forget how exciting tag team wrestling is and it has given me much more appreciation for it. We're determined to have the Ladies of Doom emerge the victors in this tournament, but no matter what happens, we will always continue fighting together."
Delta nodded her head in agreement with Endee's last statement. Delta then raised Endee's arm in the air with the fans cheering wildly for the two women.
After the end of the tournament, what is next in store for the Ladies of Doom and also, both of you as individual performers? Are you planning to aim for singles gold as well? Or maybe form a stable with your cousin Amiee Vaughan and some fresh talent in GZWA?
Endee passed the microphone over to Delta again.
“Well hopefully by the end of the tournament we will be tag team champions”
Delta said with a chortle and a shrug.
“But in all seriousness, I wouldn’t rule out a singles run. I think both Endee and I have a lot to offer as individual performers. The Vixen’s division is heating up and be part of that, yeah, most definitely would love to branch over there. And even when the time is right, I would love to square off with my sister, I think that’s one match waiting to happen.”
Endee beckoned in approval with the fans erupting over the thought of a possible Endee Vs Delta match. Endee leaned in towards Delta to speak into the microphone to add a quick tidbit
“Don’t worry Delta, if we ever feud, I’ll make sure it won’t be about stealing boyfriends or anything.”
Everyone laughed at Endee’s in-joke, a possible jab at another promotions tactics for a sibling rivalry.
“I have Amiee for that.” Delta snickered “But speaking of Amiee, I can confirm that she is solely a manager to us, but never say never about her becoming an in-ring competitor again. I mean, no one stays retired forever, right?”
Delta sarcastically said obviously poking fun at herself over the many times she “retired”. The fans started to chant “One More Match” for Amiee to wrestle another match.
“Hey, Amiee if you’re watching, these fans want you to wrestle one more match.”
Delta winked into the camera. Endee then took the microphone off Delta to answer the last part of Christy’s question.
“The Ladies of Doom became a family type of thing, but if we believe if it’s right, we may add another member in the mix, it wouldn’t hurt to bring a fresh face with us.”
Christy smiled brightly as she looked at the ladies in front of her, with all this support and good energy coming from the crowd.
It is easy to notice that whatever paths in your careers you will both choose, the fans will be there to support you. Sadly, our time on this show has come to an end. Thank you to my guests tonight, the wonderful Delta Madison and Endee Leights, the Ladies of Doom and thank you all for tuning in. This was GZWA's "Hot Spot" with your rockin' host, Christy Hemme. Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.
"Heart Attack" by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour once again played through the PA system, while Christy was exchanging hugs with both Delta and Endee, while the crowd surrounding them cheered on. Soon the scene started fading into a commercial break.
