Delta Madison sat in a single seat of the GZWA Arena before doors open. She wanted the alone time, due to the fact she wanted to collect her thoughts over the upcoming match she was booked in. The thought of teaming up with Chris Matthews made her skin crawl, and it was something she needed to deal with. She couldn’t stand Matthews, preferring if he died in a ditch, but this was a work environment and she needed to be professional. Especially her journey to become a contender for the Vixen’s Championship was in stake.
Delta rested her left foot on the seat in front of her, playing around with her Samsung Galaxy 6 phone. Delta scrolled through her contacts and came across the name “Amiee Vaughan” and selected video call. Delta waited for her cousin to answer the call, wondering her eyes around. After a few rings, Amiee’s face popped on Delta’s phone screen.
“What’s up, got any Deli Meat?” Amiee joked, referring to Delta’s ‘D Mode’ legend.
“Ha Ha - Very funny. And hush you, how are you going anyway?”
“I still have two babies in my stomach, what the hell do you think I’m doing?” Amiee attempted to move her phone around to get a shot of her growing baby bump. Delta softly smiled watching Amiee struggling hold the phone at a good angle. Amiee gave up, returning her face to the frame of the screen.
“Gee sorry for asking, but I do have a serious question to ask you.” Delta begun, having a stoic look upon her face.
“Okayy? Should I be worried?” Amiee queried now worried about what Delta was going to ask her.
Delta shrugged her shoulders, with a pout. “When you wrestled, did you ever… Forced to team up with an ex?”
Amiee arched an eyebrow, perplexed by Delta’s question.
“I don’t think so, I pretty much eradicated that ex so I would never cross paths with them ever again. Also I never dated fuckwards, like you did.”
Delta groaned, instantly regretting asking the question.
“That’s besides the point, I just thought you would have experience in that issue. I have to team up with Chris Matthews on Primetime and I don’t know how to deal”
“Chris Matthews? Which one is that?”
“The navy seal guy who basically forced himself on Endee.” Delta rolled her eyes.
“Oh, him.” Amiee let out a snorted laugh. “Good luck with that one. I don’t know what you initially saw in that guy in the first place. I have no idea why you pick the worst men ever.”
“I wish I knew.” Delta deeply sighed, resting her elbow on the chair.
“I mean, who takes a girl out on a first date to Paris? Like is he Patrick Bateman? Also he kissed your sister who is a god damn asexual and acted like she enjoyed it. I can see why you despise that man. He’s a goddamn psycho and a rapist.”
“Jesus christ, I wouldn’t go that far…” Delta felt a little inkling to defend him, but stopped.
“Just go out there and do what you do best and wrestle the damn match like you flawlessly do. That’s all I can tell you.”
Delta nodded, knowingly that’s the best option she could do. Delta took another deep breathe, to get something off her chest.
“I’m kinda, sorta…. Seeing someone.” Delta started, with Amiee’s face instantly light up.
“Oh please lord, he better not be a vanilla, white chocolate, basic white fuck boy. Because it’s best you stay clear of them for the rest of your life. ”
Delta eyes widen at Amiee going off on the ‘white man’ stereotype. Delta’s train of thought wondered, recalling the past few guys she dated, coming to the realisation that Amiee was actually right.
“No-No, I don’t know… This guy may surprise you and I sort of invited him to come to the show tonight.”
Amiee burst out in laughter.”And you’re teaming up with an ex while you have a potential boyfriend at the sidelines. That’s definitely something.”
“Please, I have no feelings for Chris Matthews, and I would be more than happy to deal with him if he pulled any funny business. He goes around threatening me not to fuck up, well that ass better not fuck it up for me.”
“Let me know if you want me to run over him, I’ll be happy to do that again.”
Delta smiled, laughing to herself remembering how Amiee dealt with one of her exes of many moons ago.
“I do have the worst exes, I think it’s time to finally sort my shit out. I’m going to take it slow with this new guy, I haven’t even had sex with him yet.”
“WHAT?” Amiee screeched at the revelation. “Is that… even…. possible? Jesus Batman, this guy must really be the one.”
Delta slightly blushed. “I don’t know, I’ll see. I just don’t want to rush into anything yet.”
“Here I was just about to ask you for a dick pic of him.” Amiee rolled her eyes, half jokingly.
“But in an unrelated note.” Delta changed the subject. “Didn’t you once deal with someone who tried to hinder your chances of becoming a champion back in ZXWWF?”
Amiee blinked a few times to recall her days in ZXWWF from 5 years ago. Amiee’s face softened when she remembered her Pick 8 Challenge she did going for the Divas Championship.
“Yes, Yes… I do remember that. I think it was Tina Angel? Or whatever she wants to call herself, I think that chick was three people in one. She was a hot mess… Man, I hated her.”
“Well, you survived that, right?”
Amiee nodded. “Of course, I plowed through all those wannabe bitches and won that damn Championship, because that’s how I do me.”
“I have Serena Dent on my case on taking my Vixen’s title shot, any advice, oh wise one?” Delta mockingly sang the last part of her question.
“Serena Dent? Oh HER, girl, don’t worry about her. Seriously, go out there and keep proving you’re better than all those Vixen’s. I mean, you won that Queen of Queens of Tournament fair and square. Winning three matches in one night already gives you the right to get that title shot. Like those basic bitches have nothing on you.”
“Do you ever use an insult other than basic bitches?” Delta rhetorically asked.
“Hey, you told me to stop using the C word, so what more do you want from me?”
“Just be you, Amiee.” Delta winked. “I’ll talk to you later, take care.”
“Tell Serena Dent that Alex Shelley enjoyed me in bed more than her.” Amiee ended the conversation with that turning off video call.
Delta felt a bit better after her conversation with her cousin, switching off her phone and idly looking around her surroundings before getting out of the chair.
