I know that every other e-fed out there are giving out End of the Year awards and I haven't done that here since 2013-14ish, but I wanted to do something different.
Don't feel entitled to say something about me here, but I just wanted to show my appreciation of sorts here to all of you.
To everyone who has stepped up to help me with matchwriting, including senorvinnie, ❤Knightmare INC, Zora Graysen and anyone else who I failed to mention over the past year. Whether it's part-time or full-time, I appreciate your efforts to make my workload easier on that front.
A special thanks to The Slammer for doing the graphics for Reina de Reinas Dos. Vi. for going up and beyond as our inaugural Queen of Queens Champion, despite not even being a member of the fed, yet was fully committed to defending the title at every opportunity. And everyone who participated in Reinas (especially our special guests and alumni who visited just for the occasion) and made that tournament a success. I really wanted to do Tres before the end of 2017, but I have so much going on IRL at the start of the year, that it would be insane for me to try to rush to organize the event - especially when I know I usually don't feel like doing anything that week of my birthday. Even if I have to start over on scouting guest stars for it from scratch and the wait is a bit longer, I want to make the 3rd annual edition of that tournament a success.
To everyone who participated in the Television Championship, including KingOfHighSpots, The Bradley Clan, "The Iceman" Konrad Raab who fought with me all the way until I caved to your requests. We may not see eye to eye or agree on each others' methods from time to time, but admire and appreciate your hard work and dedication to your craft. I'm looking forward to seeing how you work even harder with the TV title in equation now.
Ol' Reliable(s) -- I can lump pretty much everyone here into this category, but the top ones that come to mind are ❤Knightmare INC, Patrick, ❤Rose❤, Laura Jackson, Talia Areano, Bobbi Jackson, TheFrosts, Susie Price, @leonhart, Carnage, BulletxToxThexHeart and so many others to mention, but you always get something in to contribute to the shows in terms of promos/segments, even going out of your way to get stuff in as early as possible. Without you, all of this and my passion, enthusiasm, and hype to go through the painstakingly angst that goes with match-writing and coding these shows is non-existent. For that, I'm appreciative for everything that you do.
I want to thank the folks who have joined in the past year or returned in a some fashion, including The Legendary Doombringer, Brother Zachariah, The Grand Zabrina, sarahrichardson, and SinCityDollz. Taker hasn't been around since the early years of this fed and it's a godsend to have him back as part of our roster in what he's calling his last hurrah in e-fedding/roleplaying. Zabby's had some shortcomings with her partner going MIA shortly after her debut, but I hope she's going to be able to turn that around in the new year. Zachariah I haven't gotten to know yet, but I'm already a fan of his work. Sarah/Crystal has missed a few deadlines at times, but I haven't lost faith in her doing well here in the least. Brooklyn's been through so much IRL in the past few years that I rather not disclose here, but I thank her from the highest for finding the time to commit to being part of the roster full-time now.
Last but not least, I have to thank Athena. You guys often probably won't see what she does around the forum as it's mostly behind the scenes, but she always finds the means to be my main source of mortal support to bounce ideas off of or who I feel the most comfortable venting my IRL stress to. I don't like sharing my personal life to strangers on the Internet, but we've known each other in this game long enough that we regard each other as family. I know it hurt her a lot that she had to step down as women's champion last year since working towards that goal for roughly a decade, but she thought highly of all of the hard-working women in the division that deserved it more. She's going to chew me out for being all emotional but thank you for your selflessness, time and time again - along with putting up with my crazy behind all these years
2017 is behind us. Let's start 2018 on a new leaf. Put your good feet forward and let's make this the best year of GZWA to date. Thank you all for what you do here and individually bring to the table. Thank you so much and God Bless you all for the New Year.
