Only the sound of a punching bag was heard in the empty training room. Jaydan Gabriel was there mentally deranged punching the bag with speed and force. His body was drenched in sweat as it appears that he had been punching for quite a bit.
Nearby Amiee Vaughan had walked over to the lockers which had a view of the room where Jaydan was. She opened the locker and put something in there and leaned up against the door to look at Jaydan punching away. She sighed heavily and soft smile appeared on her face. Amiee admired the view of Jaydan being all sweaty and shirtless but she also admired his strength and what he had been doing for her in the past few weeks. Jaydan had broken his concentration as he looked up and spotted his wife looking over at him. He raised his eyebrows at her, surprised to see her there.
“What are you doing here?”
“It’s like 4am and I find you here training like an animal. I was worried about you, around this time I would be the one trying to wake you up.”
Jaydan picked up a white towel and wiped away some of the sweat on his face. He picked up his water bottle and unscrewed the top and then took a sip.
“I can’t leave you alone for one hour can I?”
Amiee had walked into the training room to be closer to Jaydan. She appeared angry putting her hands on her hips in a demure matter.
“Not really when I have Stunray on my ass. I’m a target and I can’t have him attack me when I least expect it. He could easily climb into our house wielding a knife and try and kill me. You just never know with him and I’m not taking that risk so you can’t go off without telling me.”
Jaydan groaned in annoyance.
“Are you serious? So you want me to protect you twenty-four seven? I’m not superhuman you know.”
“What happened to being Batman?”
Amiee crossed her arms and cocked her head, giving him some attitude. Jaydan shook his head and rubbed his chin. He had just remembered why he had went to the training room in the first place. Amiee was becoming too attached to him and he wasn’t used to it. He had to speak up on it and be blunt with her.
“What the hell has happened to you? Has Stunray turned you into this dismal in distress who wants to be protected by a man every single time? Before you used to stand up and fight and challenge people. There were times when you outsmarted other men, including me. And now all of a sudden you can’t get the better of a piece of crap named Stunray. You are better than that and you can’t stoop down to the level where Delta Madison went with him.”
Amiee looked down at the floor feeling upset at the words that Jaydan was spilling at her. She shook her heard rapidly and grabbed her dark red hair. It appeared that Amiee had started to cry.
“I don’t like this…I don’t like this at all.”
Jaydan frowned and then put his arm around Amiee’s shoulder to comfort her. She tried to push him away after feeling his sweat on her.
“You’re sweaty.”
Jaydan grinned and let go of her. Amiee wiped away some of the tears and reassured herself .
“What are you going to do about the cage match? Who will be our tag team partner?”
“Don’t worry, I got it all sorted out. You won’t get hurt, I’ll make sure of it…. Take my word for it. As long as I’m around, nothing bad is going to happen to you. I’ll even wager that we’ll make it to the battle royals and walk out as champions. First GZWA Golden Couple…. I like the sound of that.” “
Jaydan smiled at Amiee to show his sincerity. She took a deep breath and pressed her lips together trying to keep herself calm. She was hesitate at first trying to remove all the bad scenarios that could happen in the match. She looked into Jaydan’s green eyes and felt that she had to believe him.
“I trust you on this…”
Jaydan decided it was time to make the tense situation light to make Amiee feel better.
"Now I must shower, care to join me?"
Amiee smirked approving at Jaydan's offer. She grabbed Jaydan's hand as they walked out together.
