The usual GZWA's Hot Spot theme, "In Bloom" by Nirvana started playing as the opening sequence was shown. The camera then focused on the "Showstoppin' Senorita" Mariah, who was standing right in front of a monitor with the GZWA logo on it.
Hey there, GZWA fans, I know I'm not the one you're used to expect to see on this show, but Adrianne Taylor has taken time off to be with her family so as newly appointed Divas Debutante of GZWA, I've taken responsibility to take over the show myself until she returns from her vacation. In my debut here in this role, I've managed to reel in a VERY special guest here tonight, none other than the newly crowned "Empress of the Entourage," the "Queen of Sins" herself, Serena Dent.
Serena Dent walks onto the scene and sits down in the chair across from Mariah and makes herself comfortable.
Mariah: Welcome aboard, Serena. It's always a pleasure to see you. I'm not going to waste your time, Serena. I understand that you're a VERY busy woman like myself, but let's make this interesting for our fans at home, shall we? Many people aren't familiar with your past in professional wrestling. Tell me a bit about your past and how you were selected as part of the GZWA roster and leading member of the Entourage?
Serena Dent smiles warmly at Mariah's greeting and sips from her bottled water before replying, "Well, firstly, I started out my professional career in a little company called Ohio Valley Wrestling. I trained there under the ring name Penelope and managed to make a bit of an impact. But my stint was short lived, because after a Women's Championship match against Milena Roucka, known better as Rosa Mendes now, I dislocated my shoulder and had to quit. After a while of rehabilitation I got a call from Xion and he offered me to join ZXWWF, since one of the talent scouts noticed me in a OVW house show.
At ZXWWF was mostly known as "The Kiss of Death" Evan. My relationship with the company was pretty much on and off, since I still had problems with my shoulder injury and also had to go through some personal dramas, so I would work for a few months and then would have to take a leave of absence. I am still amazed how the company didn't fire me. My only big achievement in ZXWWF was the fact that I was a one time Triple X Tag Team champion with a team called "Be Cool", whose one of the members was my then boyfriend, John Cena. Now, after ZXWWF closed down, I decided to retire from wrestling and just try myself in other fields, but Xion once again gave me a call and offered to join GZWA, his new promotion.
And I simply could not resist his offer. I still felt that I hadn’t done everything I wanted in wrestling. And about becoming a part of the Entourage? Well... Ms. Mary caught me backstage, when I was visiting a few colleagues at a house show and asked me out for dinner. After about 4 hours of talk, hearing Mary's ideas, goals and offers I understood that I wanted to work with her. We were looking at the same direction. So that is the short and sweet version of my career, so that I wouldn’t bore our fans."
Mariah seems intrigued by Serena's tale and wishes to continue as she leans back in her chair and crossing her shapely legs.
Mariah: I know I'm a bit late, but I apologize for whatever mental scars my sister, Amanda, left you with after your 'history' with her back then. Let's switch gears onto a positive note... What did you think of Sensational Mary as leader? What are you going to keep the same and/or change during your new role as leader?
Serena chuckles lightly.
Serena Dent: No need for apologies, Mariah. If you may remember, I've already closed that chapter of my life at our last PPV... Mary is an amazing leader and I personally can't say a single bad word about her leadership. This lady is not only good looking and smart, she also is a great strategist, can see a few moves ahead her opponent and has a sense of picking out the right people for the job, well, most of the time. But everybody makes mistakes at some point, right? Now, my main goal as the new leader is to continue the work we had planned together, but also make a few adjustments and maybe even do some early “spring cleaning”, if you know what I mean. I believe that The Entourage was and still is an amazing idea, which flourished into an impact making stable, but it can still be taken a step further.
Mariah: Mary and I have been acquainted with each other for a LONG time, I have nothing but respect for what she does in this business. It's a shame that not everyone can see the fruits of what she does. Seeing that Mary's suspended until further notice, that puts a lot of pressure on your shoulders. Are you worried to take on so much responsibility as leader of the Entourage?
Serena Dent smiles as she figured this question was coming - eventually - in the conversation.
Serena: After Mary was escorted out of the building and left me as the new head of our little family I was pretty much out of words. I didn’t know what I’ll have to do next. Everything was so sudden and unexpected… But after I sat down and collected my thoughts, I understood that Mary and I always worked as a team and deep down we knew if one left – the other would survive and lead the team to success on her own. So I can say that I am nervous, just a bit, about taking this much responsibility, but I do now that I will make this team even better than before and Mary will be satisfied when she comes back.
Mariah: I'm sure whatever you have in store for the Entourage, she sends her blessings and will be proud of all that you accomplish for the group when she returns. Now for our long-time fans who have followed both of our careers, I'm sure they are wondering why haven't we never have crossed paths? I must say, I'm personally anxious to hear your answer to this question.
Serena Dent smirks a bit and sips from her bottle again before answering.
Serena: Even though I never lack confidence, my answer may surprise you… We were in different leagues. At ZXWWF I was the little rookie with major issues and a Lita inspired attire. And you? You were the main eventer, the star of the show and not to mention ZX’s girlfriend and later fiancé. You were the best the company could offer and I barely managed to make through a few months without getting into some kind of trouble. That is why we never crossed paths. But I always admired you not only as an athlete, who I wished would become my mentor one day, but also as a person and as a woman. You were and still are strong, determined, smart, charming, witty and undoubtedly graced with stunning looks.
Mariah beams with pride as she sucks up to Serena's comments, grinning from ear to ear.
Mariah: Like I tell all the girls that I've trained over the years, don't ever sell yourself short. Who knows, we might still have a match or two in our futures. Tomorrow isn't written in stone yet. Onto our next question, as this is one that the boys at home and in the locker room are anxiously waiting the answer on. Valentine's Day is around the corner, you know. Is Serena seeing someone? If so, are they on the GZWA roster?
Serena blushes briefly before answering.
Serena: After my divorce I actually wanted to stay single as long as possible. I was tired of relationships, drama and all of that. And I had been that way for quite the while. But now, I can say that there is a special man in my life. He managed to restore my faith in relationships and maybe even marriage. I really do not want to reveal his identity. That I will keep to myself, but I can say that he is well-known worldwide and he has nothing to do with the wrestling business whatsoever.
Mariah: Well as long as it's not Denzel or Vinnie D, you have my blessings in your relationship, otherwise, we're having a title match for their affections... Outside of her management and duties within the Entourage, what are Serena's future goals?
Both Mariah and Serena share a laugh in unison.
Serena: Don't worry, your boys are safe. Wrestling wise I still have one unfulfilled dream and that is to rightfully earn an opportunity to challenge the Women’s Champion and finally wear gold around my waist. That is a big dream of mine and maybe soon I will be back in the ring and gunning for that title. And if speaking about personal life goals, after I retire from this business I would just love to settle down, have a family, children and finally express myself through one of my biggest passions and that is painting. I hope to one day have my own art exhibit. That would be simply amazing. But that won’t happen at least for a few years.
Mariah: Oh wow, Serena. I didn't know that you had a knack for the arts. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing your gallery someday. One more question for the road, Serena. What are your thoughts on the current members within the Entourage?
Serena smiles again.
Serena: I must say that I have great respect towards most of them. At the current moment I am proud beyond words of Porscha, who went against all odds and captured The Entourage’s first material trophy, which is the Women’s Championship belt. She did a stellar job and I know she will be able to keep on to it with ease. Even though she's not with us anymore, but I truly admire Kat’s determination and concentration as she keeps gunning for that gold. And even if she seems down and smacked against the wall, she still manages to pick herself up and continue. Both Carnage and Randy Orton are one of-a-kind athletes, who have remarkable physical abilities and also the minds to match. And of course, Beth Phoenix and Natalya Neidhart . These two women to me are the true embodiment of women’s wrestling. They are absolutely beautiful women, they have cool and clever minds and also they have the physical strength and abilities that not all men can possess, even if they tried. I do believe that our selective little group can achieve remarkable things… Of course, with a little guidance from myself and Mary.
Mariah: Well, it looks like we're running out of time here, Serena. It's been a pleasure having you here and getting to know you better.
Serena smiles again, "Oh, no, Mariah. The pleasure is mine. We definitely must do this again sometime."
Mariah smiles at the camera once more, "Thank you, Serena. I wish you the best of luck in your new position. GZWA fans, thank you for tuning into this GZWA.com exclusive here on the Hot Spot. Good night, and remember the Showstoppin' Senorita will always keep things hot around here."
She winks at the camera as the scene fades to black as the show ended.
