Well here's the short version, if the ban happens it ONLY affects sales of FUTURE Xbox 360 consoles, namely the 4GB and 250GB Slim models. Microsoft would pretty much lose 3rd party development on production of the console. What that means is no more future updates or support for the current generation Xbox 360 hardware though. IMO like a friend and I were discussing, it really would hurt Microsoft TOO much if you think about it. If they pull their resources, they could easily do all of the work that they had third parties doing themselves. They have more than enough manpower and employees to do so. Their other option is to just rush out their next console and just make it backwards compatible with the current 360 software and at an affordable price so you don't alienate your current consumers. For now that's all I'm saying as I know this is going to turn into a shitstorm console war debate now...
