The scene starts blurry for a moment as the camera turns on. After a few adjustments, the inside of a radio station broadcast booth comes into focus, where a DJ is sitting behind a table with his headset on. The "On-Air" sign to his right lights up, and he begins speaking.
The camera pans over to The Phenomenal One with a headset on, ready to get down to business.
AJ smiles a bit, and leans back in his chair before answering.
The DJ nodded his head.
AJ chuckles and folds his arms and leans in on the table in front of him.
AJ shakes his head in disbelief before looking up towards the ceiling. His eyes return to the DJ, as he answers.
The DJ nods wholeheartedly in agreement.
He pushes his chair away from the table and stands up, extending his hand. The DJ shakes it, and AJ takes off the headset and heads out of the room. The camera fades out, as the DJ sits back down to continue his broadcast.
DJ:
...And we're back! Thanks for listening in this morning. Now, I know you've been waiting for this interview since it was first announced earlier in the week, so I won't delay any further. We have here in studio, straight from Ground Zero Wrestling Association, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. How are you this morning, AJ?

I'm doing great, man, thanks for asking. How are you?

DJ:
Good, good. Now, AJ, you've been in the wrestling industry for about 14 years now, having your first match in 1998. You've accomplished pretty much everything there is to do in a wrestling ring, however a little over a year ago, you made the jump from Total Nonstop Action to Ground Zero. Now, you've been in TNA since it's debut so my first question is what made you decide to leave?

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles:
It's been an awesome year for me since my debut in Ground Zero, that's for sure. As far as deciding to leave TNA, well, my contract was set to expire in April 2011, and just before Final Resolution, which is the December Pay-Per-View for TNA, Dixie Carter approached me with an idea for a storyline that would be kind of a long term thing, which would be that I'd be a part of a stable led by Ric Flair that would feud with another stable, which was led by the the supposed owners of the company. The idea was interesting, but the timing kind of worked out in a bad way since I ended up getting hurt at a show in January. I took some time off, went home and spent some time with my family. My boys had been begging me to take them to a local promotion wrestling event for some time, so I finally took them. That was where I met Xion Zeros for the first time, and found out about GZWA. He and I had kept in touch over the next few months, and I think it was early February when he offered me a job. I talked to Dixie, told her there were no hard feelings but I had done all I could do in the company and that was it. She wished me luck, told me to keep in touch, and I debuted in GZWA mid-May.

DJ:
Well, it doesn't seem like you've really looked back at all. Let's talk about your feud with Genesis and Double S. You and Genesis beat the living hell out of each other for several months culminating with what some people are calling the most brutal match in the history of GZWA. Now, on the upcoming Primetime, you're scheduled to re-visit that feud in a way when you go one on one against the other member of Ego Trip, Double S with the chance to qualify for the World Heavyweight Championship. Your thoughts?

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles:
Genesis and I--Well, we kind of debuted around the same time, so it was pretty cool to see the GZWA fans take to both of us and really get involved in our feud. As far as in the ring, I'm not going to lie, Genesis is definitely not one of the guys you want to go in against unless you're 110% and even then, you still got to be on your toes. I'd have to say when I beat him for the Television Championship, I felt like I really earned it. We put each other through hell in all of our matches, but the ones where the title was on the line, that's where the gloves really came off. Double S, on the other hand, I've only been in the ring with him once, maybe twice, so unlike having the advantage of knowing your opponent because you've been in the ring with him so many times, you really have to make sure you're always one step ahead...and especially when an opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship is at stake. I'm definitely looking forward to putting up a fight and taking that next step, especially after the words that I've exchanged with those guys in the past.

DJ: Speaking of always being one step ahead, your former best friend, Christopher Daniels, also known as "The Fallen Angel" seems to have been a few steps ahead of you since his debut at Devils May Cry.
AJ shakes his head in disbelief before looking up towards the ceiling. His eyes return to the DJ, as he answers.
"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles:
I don't know what else I can say about Chris that I probably haven't already said over the years, but I will say this. It doesn't matter what company I'm in or what year it is, the rivalry between AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels is always going to be one for the history books.
