The wrestling ring was quiet and dark as night. No one could be seen: the competitors, nor the audience, but suddenly the composition would begin to change. A light turned on with bright white coloring, aiming below to one side of the turnbuckle. Under the light stood one contender with warm blood like a dragon, ready to fly to whatever headed her way. This dragon was quite beautiful in appearance. Her two-piece attire contained black spandex, and what looks like a red sown insignia in Chinese characters, meaning “Mei Long”. Mei Long must be the woman's name.
Suddenly, another spotlight came on with a mechanical noise, hovering over the opposite turnbuckle, and another diva. Mei Long’s was originally in a state of confusion over the moment, but when she realized who it was, her head lowered as her eyes remained constant to this woman, who was sitting at the top of the turnbuckle with her legs crossed, and the ropes gripped with her hands. She uttered words that Mei Long couldn’t seem to hear, nor interpret, but Mei Long figured it could be a taunt. Mei Long cracked her knuckles to prepare herself, moving into a battle stance. Her internal thoughts spoke inside of her mind.
“Another time where Layla becomes my opponent. There have been too many times when she has gotten the upper hand, especially with the help of her friends Tia Brooks and Michelle McCool, but all of this ends here. Let’s see what she can do by herself.”
The next turnbuckle to Layla’s right shone in the spotlight, revealing the Russian Bulldozer, Anya Petrova. Her intimidating statue was visualized by her leveled posture and her arms of steel flaunting as they crossed above her chest. Her eyes were darted like a bullet to her opponents.
On the opposite turnbuckle of Anya revealed Raven. Her hair brought such aggressive presence in the ring like a Cardinal. Everyone would notice her. She stood with her lower body at an unaligned curve, giving one of her hands balance on her right hip. The other hand was examined by her as she flourished on how ravishing her deep red nails looked under the light. Shining enough for the audience to be blinded. However, one sight of her rival Anya would cause her eyes to glare at her. Tension was building in the air between those two, and this match would be when this confrontation would occur once more.
“I don’t know much about those two. They’ve been handling their own problems like I have, but I am well aware of the two being great competitors, especially Anya. However, that shouldn’t intimidate me. That will never make me bow down. I bow down to no one.”
Another figure could be seen traveling her way to the ring, up the staircase and onto the edge, hopping from the top rope between Layla and Raven. The spotlight swayed towards the figure entering the ring, bending her knees while her buttocks aimed to the floor. She smiled in such evil delight towards her opponents.
“April…..another Luchadora, but an unorthodox, for sure. She’s letting her dysfunctional sanity get in the way. However, her personality means nothing to her wrestling ability. The better one between us will be determined here in this ring.”
The center spotlight shone above all, giving the core attention from the contenders to the current champion, Beth Phoenix, who stood valiant and dominating. The belt around her waist, glistening from the heavens above. The women around her stood with anger, and desire for that belt. Mei Long was no different.
“This is my 2nd chance on becoming Women’s Champion. I don’t want to ruin that opportunity. I may have gotten swindled from Porscha last time, but this time will be different. It’s against Beth Phoenix, a more capable female wrestler in the fray, especially amongst the GZWA women. I will stop at nothing to get that belt from her waist.”
The women all stood at battle stance, ready to fight for the golden glory. The sound of the bell, instead of ringing, buzzed in Mei's ear constantly, dragging her back from the clouds into the real world, lying on her bed.
She slowly opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was the loud alarm clock, displaying “6:30 am” in bright red lights. Her training day had arrived, and she was going to do as much as possible to get to her goal.
