Justice is in her home office, doing some paperwork for GZWA. Visibly annoyed, Justice is putting a little extra emphasis on her pen strokes and keystrokes on her nearby laptop. This is the mood that Justice is in when her phone suddenly rings.
Justice's eyes dart to the phone, her eyebrows lowering even further. Justice is shocked to see a number that she had not expected. She lets the phone ring as she is unsure of what to do. Gingerly, Justice reaches out and presses the button for the speaker.
Ummm, hello?
Jussy darling! How are you?
Just fine, Mrs. Zeros. How are you?
I am alright. Dear, call me mom.
I hardly think that is appropriate considering...
I saw the show hon. You can still call me mom.
Allright Mrs..... err Mum.
Actually, I'll get right to it Jussy. That is the reason I'm calling. I want to hear it from you. Is what my son said true?
About my only interest being power and fame? It is all bollocks mummy.
Then why does Xion feel strongly enough about it to wreck the best thing that's ever happened to him?
Justice blushes a little at the compliment.
He is merely misguided. You know your son as well as I do. He dreams big but is not a nuts-and-bolts kind of bloke. I was merely trying to be more assertive and take over that part of GZWA leaving him free to dream his wonderful dreams that make this company what it is. I was hoping that it would bring us even closer together.
I see. I remember when he was a little boy, he worked hard for his allowance but never understood why he couldn't afford the things he wanted. He would go out and buy candy, cartoon movies and comic books and then miss out on important things because of it.
Justice giggles.
That sounds like my mate.
Listen hun, you are the classiest broad to have ever walked into his life. I did my best to not interfere as he kept running around with all these sluts. I'll be honest; I thought you were another in a long line of over-inflated bimbos that he seems to attract. But after getting to know you, I'm proud to call you daughter-in-law. Hang in there, together we'll remind him what's right.
Justice blushes and looks to the ground.
I appreciate the vote of confidence mummy.
So, now that we're talking like a mother and daughter, how are you?
I am angry mum. I have never been humilliated like that in my entire life! Not by a bloke at least.
Mrs. Xeros laughs loudly.
No I don't doubt that for a minute. And you should be angry. I'm angry for you. I raised my son with more class and tact than that. I bet you're already scheming to get back at him. Am I right?
Looking uncomfortable, Justice watches her words when she replies.
Yes.....
Good. Make him pay. That's just the kind of kick in the ass my son needs. For the first time in his life, he's actually met a woman that can stand up to him. And for God's sake, take his company. If you don't, he'll spend it into the ground.
MOTHER!
Scheme those schemes that are bouncing around in that pretty little head of yours. My son needs a wakeup call. Besides, I know you well enough to know that I can trust that there are certain lines you won't cross. So have at it! Have fun and live up to your promise from the show.
I will mummy.
While we're conspiring together, Jussy honey, if any of your schemes involve making that slut Brooklyn's life a living hell, don't worry about offending me if those happen to become a reality as well. I'm not even sure that thing is even my son's child. You know how fake "reality" tv can be for ratings.
All too well mum.
Good. Do whatever you feel you need to. I want that slut as far away from my son as possible.
Justice face contorts into an evil grin.
I already have a plan.
Alrighty. I'll leave you to it. Take care, daughter-in-law.
I will mummy. I will also make you proud.
I know you will dear.
A click is heard as Mrs. Xeros hangs up the phone. Justice leans back into her chair, her evil smile slowly growing larger as she taps her fingertips together.
Sorry for the lateness. I've been sick and really not in the mood to write because of it.
