It was close to the main event on one of the GZWA house shows as suddenly the lights got dimer in the arena. The crowd started buzzing, excited on what was gonna happen. Suddenly, "Critical Acclaim" by Avenged Sevenfold started blasting through the PA system as Ela Cantat stepped from behind the curtain. The crowd cheered her on as she was somewhat of a fan favorite. Mostly for her dedication in the ring. But some of the things she has said in the past did spark some negative comments from the crowd. So you could say that she was a bit of both. Maybe that was why she was liked. She was brutally honest and raw.
Walking down the entrance ramp, Ela gave a half smile to the fans in attendance as she headed towards the ring. Already holding a microphone in hand, she quickly walked up the steps and entered the ring. Posing on the top turnbuckle, she stepped down as her entrance music died out and she finally lifted the mic to her lips.
I know, I know, it is a bit unusual to see me not in my ring gear, but in a more formal outfit. But tonight truly is a special occasion. On the next Primetime I am making my official debut as a wrestler on the main roster.
The crowd cheered on the dark haired vixen as she slowly paced around the ring.
And of course, I just had to come here tonight and just express my thoughts about the upcoming inauguration match. After all, I know it is very trendy nowadays pretending to be superior and give long-ass interviews or speeches about how your opponents suck. But to all of your surprise or sadness, I didn't come here tonight to do that.
Ela grinned lightly as she looked at the crowd in the arena.
To tell you the truth, I've been thinking for months, how to start off my career in this company. What should I say before my first match? Should I be a good little girl and always smile? Or maybe an absolute bitch, who screams at the audience, who pays her salary. I thought about the option of trash talking my opponents and acting as if I am God's gift to mankind... Also, I didn't forget about acting like a humble small town girl, who only wants to participate and cares about friendship and good sportsmanship....
The crowd started getting a bit more noisy, trying to understand, where was this all going.
And I did understand what I should do. Or what shouldn't I do. I decided to choose the path of being true to myself and 100% real. I don't care about friendships here, I don't really care what people think of me or my actions. I came here to work, to wrestle, to entertain the audience. I came to fight till I can't breathe no more. I came here to be the winner. I am not going to pretend that I don't count my wins or titles. That gold is always on my radar and never leaves my mind. If needed, I will crack skulls, break backs and cause chaos. I will do everything in my power to be the best. To make the women who paved our way in this industry proud of the new generation of wrestlers.
The crowd gave her a mixed reaction, with boos and cheers at the same time as Ela seemed not really take it in.
And there is nothing more to say really. I am a realist, I love the attention, I am not afraid to admit that I can lie and cheat if it will benefit me in the long run. I am human, just like all of you sitting at home or in this arena. I won't be neither good nor bad, because I am both.
This sport is my job, my hobby and my life, so I will do everything in my power not only to get to the top, but also stay there. I came to this company to seek and destroy and that is what I will do.
Grinning slightly, she focused her gaze towards the entrance, addressing the locker rooms.
And for all of you back there, just be prepared. There is a reason why I was called the "Career Ending Experience".
That being said, "Critical Acclaim" by Avenged Sevenfold started blasting through the PA system as Ela stepped out of the ring and the scene faded to black.
