Sapphire is sitting backstage alone at the arena. Normally, she's spending time with Genesis, but she had shown up to the arena fairly early and most of the other wrestlers haven't gotten there yet. She takes her phone out of her bag for what seemed like the hundredth time and dials a number.
Hey, it's me. Call me back, please. We need to talk.
She disconnects the call and puts her phone away, frustrated. She takes a deep breath before standing up and walking up to one of the backstage workers leaning against the wall.
Hey, have you seen --
She stops speaking as she feels a hand slip around her waist. She spins around to face the person who had touched her. Sapphire remains in full view of the camera, however it's not revealed who she's speaking with.
Well, you're here early...Look, we need to talk about what happened last Primetime...I don't need to tell you how I feel right now, I'm sure you already know...I'm hurt and I'm angry, and a lot of things that I can't really put into words right now. To be honest, I didn't know how I would be able to be here tonight, but I was booked in a match, so that's why I'm here.
Before the person could say anything, Sapphire walks away and begins thinking out loud.
I can't believe what kind of a night this is going to be. I didn't want to deal with that first thing tonight, but he needed to know how I felt. I still can't believe I'm supposed to tag team with Amanda Cortez and Maryse tonight. I have no desire to see either one of them, let alone pretend for one second that we're on the same page. I can't even trust them! I mean, I guess they shouldn't trust me either, but against Mei Long, Beth Phoenix and Rose Cortez? The booking doesn't even make sense! Oh well, I guess it's a good way to test out how I compare with the champion.
Sapphire sighs heavily, as she gets to the gym area to do a brief work out before changing for the show. Her phone goes off, and she rushes to pull it out of her bag to see who was calling.
Really?
She rolls her eyes, dropping her phone back into the bag and pushes the door open to the gym area, letting it slam behind her.
