The Crown Jewel stands in the one of the offices backstage in complete shock as she reads the card for the next taping of Primetime. Her arms are crossed tightly across her chest as she glares at the paper hanging on the bulletin board, as she sees her match: "Bra and Panties Match: Sapphire vs. Taryn Terrell." Sapphire is not happy in the least bit, as evidenced by her body language and facial expression."
What kind of bullshit is this? If these were the types of matches I wanted to participate in, I would have accepted the WWE contract that I was offered when I finished training! This is completely unacceptable and degrading. You don't see men trying to strip each other to their undergarments in matches, do you? No! So, can someone please tell me why the hell it's considered appropriate to go through with this type of match?
Sapphire looks around, as if waiting for someone to answer her slightly rhetorical question.
I'll tell you why. It's because women's wrestling has become a joke. You look in other companies and they dedicate one match on the card to the women. Most of the time, it's a tag team match or some kind of crap to use as many of the women as possible. At least in GZWA, they know how to use the so-called divas properly. Or at least, I thought they did until I see this!
Although, on the other hand, I can see where they would get confused. I mean, Taryn? She wants to go around talking about how she's "different" from everyone else and how she's not at all a diva. Has the girl taken a look in a mirror lately? She is the poster child for divas! She thinks that just because she faced Gail Kim in a ladder match that she deserves respect? That match was a completely watered down version of what a ladder match should be. No disrespect to Gail Kim at all, I would have had to turn it down a few notches to carry Taryn through the match too.
Taryn, you want to prove that you're different from the rest of these cookie cutter divas? I want you to face me in a match. Not this stupid stripper match that we're booked in on Primetime this next time. A real match. A match so dangerous and brutal that you will give blood, sweat and tears in that ring and you're lucky enough just to survive, let alone be able to stand at the end of it all. It's a match that I competed in regularly before I joined GZWA, and I think it's time we show people around the globe why women deserve to be noticed. Why women's wrestling is just as important as men's wrestling, and that women can fight to a level never previously seen. So, Taryn, if you think you have what it takes, then I'm challenging you to a Florida Flatline match at Slammiversary!
Before you answer, let me tell you exactly what you're getting yourself into, if you accept. I was in Florida Flatline Extreme, where every match was a Flatline match. These matches were so vicious and violent, that the only footage you can find of them is on YouTube by people who took video while at live events. What exactly is a Florida Flatline match? Two fighters step in the ring, which is surrounded by either a steel cage or hell in a cell type structure. Attached to the steel cage or cell walls are weapons. Bags of thumbtacks and broken glass are generally a given with barbed wire wrapped baseball bats, chairs, and pretty much anything else you can wrap barbed wire around also hanging off the walls. There are no pinfalls, submissions or escapes from the cell or cage. The only way to win is to beat your opponent so that they can't answer a ten count.
Think about it, Blondie. This little bra and panties crap? That's for divas. A Florida Flatline match? Those are for athletes who thrive on competition. Unlike you, Taryn, I am not a diva. I'm the reflection of what you can never be. I am The Crown Jewel of GZWA. I am a diamond in the rough. No...More like a diamond in the pile of trash that is this "divas" division. But soon enough, you'll find that out first hand. Good luck, because I plan to strip you of everything. Starting with your clothes on Primetime and ending with your career at Slammiversary.
Sapphire's eyes sparkle at the thought, before she walks out of view of the camera and the feed goes to black.
