It had been a while since the incident on Reaction involving Lise Starr and AJ Lee where the crazed Black Widow struck Starr’s throat with a steel object and tried to strangle her. Despite this, the Heartbreaker is okay and ready to compete at Slammiversary in the Street Fight against AJ. She was sitting on the couch in her apartment with an older looking blonde woman who was talking to Lise. This woman was Lise Starr’s mother who had just arrived in Charlotte a couple of hours ago from a long flight from Melbourne.
“Are you sure you are fine to wrestle? What happened to you, it was very brutal.”
“Mum, I am completely fine! Yeah getting a steel pipe smacked to your throat hurts, it hurts a lot and the pain is probably gonna last to Slammiversary but I don’t care. In these last ten years I’ve been thrown through tables, had a steel chair broken my nose, situations involving glass...”
Lise’s mother raised an eyebrow. “Glass?”
“And a whole bunch of other stuff you don’t know about. Anyway, the point is after all those things I was alright and I continued to do what I do, the biggest example being almost breaking my neck back home.”
“Okay, I know sweetheart. I am so proud of you, no matter what’s happened you have gotten back up and fought everything. One of the things I am very glad you fought back was that drinking problem you had, it terrified me. I didn’t want anyone hurting you when you had too much to drink.”
“Well, you know how I quit drinking. I don’t know what I would have done without Punk.”
“Which is why I would love to meet him and thank him for saving my daughter.”
“Oh god, I forgot… please don’t mum, no offence but I feel that you are gonna embarrass me. Or Punk will end up embarrassing me in some way. Please, somebody just kill me.”
Shaking her head, Lise simply sighed as her mother laughed. “Don’t act like that, Alyssa.”
“Ugh, can we talk about something else? Like me killing AJ at Slammiversary?”
“Normally I don’t like when you act violent but I want you to tear that little slag apart. Spreading a lot of our private family stuff for the whole world to know and hurting my daughter, almost possibly killing you. You need to hurt her until she feels all the pain you felt.”
“Damn right. Mum, it’s a street fight which means I can do a lot of hurtful things to her. I have so many weapons to choose from, she’s lucky this isn’t one of those death match companies or she would really be a goner. I am happy you are here and will be at the front row cause you’re gonna get to see it in person.”
“Sweetie, I admit that I am not that much of a wrestling fan compared to how I was during the days of Macho Man but I am excited for Slammiversary. It’s the biggest show in the company isn’t it? I get to see my daughter out there and beating that little girl. It is a big change from those shows you did in a gym full of fifteen people.”
“Seems like yesterday, doesn’t it? I promise I am going to get revenge and win this street fight. I don’t care for whatever AJ has planned because sure, she’s crazy and is called unpredictable but so what? I think something worse than that is a woman who is angry and has inflicting pain on her mind.”
“You don’t have to promise me. It’s already known that you’re going to win and hurt AJ Lee. Like I said, I am not a fan of you being very violent but you are a wrestler and when somebody crosses the line, I guess you have to be very violent… even if sometimes I don’t approve of it.”
“Well, thanks mum. At least somebody in this damn family accepts what I do.”
“Oh, don’t listen to what other people say. They should worry about their own lives instead of telling others what to do.” “Mrs. Starr” hugged her daughter for a brief moment. “Do you want me to cook dinner for you? Just like old times?”
“No mum, you just got off a plane a few hours ago. You need to have some rest. Maybe later we can go out to a restaurant or something.”
“Alright then, if you insist but first let me have a guess what you want... sushi?”
"You know me way too well."
End scene.
