The arena grows dark, as the eve of Slammiversary is finally upon us. The stage area glows an eerie fuchsia color momentarily before "Das Schwarze Meer" by Subway to Sally signals the impending entrance of The Unholy Angel, who doesn't take more than a few seconds to appear on stage.
She takes a few steps towards the ring, before running down the length of the ramp and sliding under the bottom rope. She immediately stands up, and heads to the corner to pick up a microphone, raising it to her lips as it's becoming obvious that she has business to attend to.
My name is Kayda Erikson, I am The Unholy Angel and the self proclaimed Creator of Chaos. Recently, a very private part of my past came up when Sapphire and Genesis crossed the line between business and personal. I wasn't going to talk about it, but I feel it needs to be addressed. On the night of July 7, 2007...my life changed forever.
Kayda takes a deep breath, as her voice becomes slightly shaky. She had only revealed what she is about to say to one other person, her previous tag team partner in her first wrestling company before coming to GZWA and now before the entire GZWA Nation live and watching at home, she was about to share her deepest, darkest secret.
It was a few days before I moved to New York, and my friends and I went out to see our favorite band, Subway to Sally. My best friend, Katrin...She always liked one of the guitarists, Bodenski and I always liked the lead singer, Eric Fish. We teased each other about it sometimes too.
She laughs in an uncomfortable way and smiles, getting lost in the memories before trying to compose herself to continue.
Our other friends, Jana and Elise were there too. We had a great time at the concert. Eric was absolutely amazing, and --
Before Kayda can continue, "Adrenalin" by Eisbrecher plays through the speakers. A theme Kayda and the rest of the arena recognizes as the entrance music of The Crown Jewel, Sapphire.
Cut my music! My God, Genna! No one has all night.
Sapphire appears on stage, and makes her way down to the ring while talking. Kayda's hands slowly become clenched fists, as Sapphire uses the nickname that her friends used to use.
Let's make this quick and very painful. Genevieve, after the concert you and your friends went to a bar and got drunk. You left the bar, drove drunk, wrapped your car around a tree and killed your friends in the process, while you were the lone survivor. That's what happened, Genna, right?
Du verdammtes kleines Miststück!
Kayda's knuckles are nearly white from clenching them so tight, and she continues to speak in German before Sapphire puts her palm up in Kayda's face.
This is America, Genevieve. We speak English here. Now, let me give the GZWA Nation a little crash course --
Sapphire covers her mouth as her eyes grow wide mocking complete shock with her choice of words, which was obviously intentended.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this woman is a fraud. Ms. Kayda Erikson is actually Genevieve Hecht. Of course, that's not her real last name, but she probably doesn't even know her real last name. I'll bet she blocked that from memory after the accident. Her birthday? May 28, 1985. Hmmm? 1985? Believeable. May 28...Why does that ring a bell? Genna, who's birthday is May 28?
Kayda, at this point, is emotionally caught between tears and tearing Sapphire's head off. It had been hard enough to find the courage to come out here and try to reveal a part of her past that had remained locked up for so long, but to have it out in the open and mocked is more than The Unholy Angel can take. Her breathing is now shallow and she's seething, trying not to let herself snap, because if she did, Sapphire wouldn't be showing up at Slammiversary. Sapphire, meanwhile is still waiting for an answer to her mock question.
I asked you a question, Genevieve. Who's birthday is May 28? Oh that's right. Eric Fish, also known as Erik-uwe Hecht. Same birthday? Same last name? Coincidence? Not at all. Genevieve had a few screws loose, became obsessed with this guy for whatever reason, so much so that she nearly killed one of her best friends for joking about him, before she lost control of a car being drunk and stupid and ended up actually killing all three of her friends. Is it worth it, Genna? Was Eric worth your friends having to die?
Kayda Erikson can't hold back any longer, as she gets in the face of The Crown Jewel screaming in German. Sapphire continues to stand her ground, crossing her arms and giving The Unholy Angel a look as if to say, "Are you done yet?" The two women stand nose to nose for mere seconds, before Kayda finally swings the first punch -- literally -- aiming for Sapphire's face. The Crown Jewel ducks under the punch, towards Kayda's back and wraps her arms around her waist in preparation of an appropriately named German Suplex. Erikson however, elbows Sapphire in the face to break free, and with The Crown Jewel disoriented, Kayda is able to lock in her Subway 7 finisher (Dragon Sleeper with Body Scissors). Sapphire squirms and wriggles trying to free herself from the submission, but she is unsuccessful.
Eins!......Zwei!......Drei!......Vier!......Fünf!......Sechs!................Sieben!
The Unholy Angel calls out the numbers as she continues applying pressure to the Crown Jewel's body. Upon reaching the number 7, Kayda released the hold, rolling out of the ring and putting both hands on her hips, while smiling and slowly backing away from the ring.
Sieben ist meine Zahl, Sapphire.
She glares at the Crown Jewel dead in the eyes as she speaks, while Sapphire lies flat on her stomach, the whole time cursing Kayda under her breath.
