History & Biography:
Nefarious has been an infamous character in wrestling history since his arrival in 2002 at the XCW. Throughout his illustrious career, he has won many World Heavyweight Championships, including SEE, XCW and OCW. Nefarious has flirted with the law on numerous occasions, due to his unhinged nature and dangerous lack of empathy for people. He hasn't been part of an active wrestling roster since 2005, when it was decided that psychiatric treatment was the best option for the Cleveland native. However, his issues are deep-rooted and stem from a childhood of barbaric abuse, which has been well documented throughout his wrestling career. Now, The Walking Nightmare is under the care and supervision of Annie Walters, an old woman who signed Nefarious out of psychiatric care and into hers. Despite being absent for over 8 years, 'The Walking Nightmare' is still as dangerous as ever, which will surely pose problems for the superstars and divas of the GZWA.

The scene welcomes us in from the darkness and thrusts us into the image of a window frame from within a room. The only light that creeps into the shot comes from the moonlight and the dim flicker of a street lamp outside. Rain accompanies a howling wind, causing the droplets that bounce against the window pane to alternate between a violent barrage and a gentle caress. The camera slowly pans away from the window, into the centre of the room, which becomes submerged in an uncomfortable darkness once more. We can just about make out the silhouette of a person, hunched over and swaying back and forth. This is made all the more unsettling by a symphony of wheezing, groaning and giggling - apparently emanating from the individual shrouded in obscurity.
We focus in on the figure, who - thanks to a brief , split-second flash - becomes momentarily visible. It's a figure with whom wrestling fans are incredibly familiar, although none will have stumbled across in several years. The man on screen is The Walking Nightmare, Nefarious.
The violent flash is soon followed by a menacing rumble of thunder, which seems to startle the deranged superstar. The strange swaying motions that he exhibits become more forceful, prompting another series of groans and wheezes to escape from him.
Nefarious: "I haunt them... He haunts me.... Annie Walters set me free..."
The chilling voice of The Walking Nightmare echoes slightly, suggesting that the room he currently occupies is bereft of any furniture. It sounds empty; perhaps for his own safety? Our camera begins a crawling zoom towards Nefarious, as he maintains his hunched, twitching position. His ramblings continue, interspersed with more groaning and wheezing.
Nefarious: "She takes away the pain, but insists I inflict it. It has to be done. It has to be done, she said. My pain leaves me and goes into someone else. A puppet. Just a pain-filled puppet and she pulls their strings."
Nefarious begins to tear at his hair, before projecting an incredibly loud, disturbing chuckle. From the distance, the muffled - yet familiar - sound of footsteps march into the scene, gaining volume and speed as they continue. Suddenly, the door to the room swings open, flooding us with some more light from the well-lit hallway. Standing within the door frame is a horrifically unpleasant looking old woman, who glares menacingly towards the deranged brawler and shrieks - her voice is croaky and haunting.
Woman: "Be quiet, child!"
She produces a cane from her side, waving it with purpose at Nefarious. The Walking Nightmare does as he's instructed and becomes completely silent. The woman steps further into the room, revealing herself as Annie Walters, the woman who provides care and shelter for Nefarious. She agreed to let the camera team into her home to film the fighter, although there is a feeling that they may have outstayed their welcome.
Ms Walters turns her attentions to the camera crew, paying little attention to the lens directly.
Annie Walters: "I thought I had made it perfectly clear that under no uncertain terms were you to sit there and film if he decided to start rambling? I've been gracious enough to let you into my home and here you are disobeying my rules. Why?"
In spite of her advanced years, Annie Walters is a formidable figure, which is instantly apparent here. Her wild barks towards both Nefarious and the camera team are uniquely terrifying. However, she has asked a question and the anger etched over her face suggests that it's in the best interests of the media crew to provide her with a retort.
Camera Operative: "H-He just started talking. He only said a couple of thi -"
Without warning, Annie takes a violent swing at the camera with her cane, knocking it from the camera operative's hand and causing the recording device to crash to the ground. It lands on its side, distorting the view of the incident.
Annie Walters: "Your camera is no longer welcome in my home. I told you what my expectations were and you've completely ignored my instructions."
There's a moment of shuffling around, although the camera only shows us the dull image of skirting at the bottom of the room walls. We cannot see anything else.
Camera Operative: "You're completely... Completely right and I apologise. Jim and I will... We'll just take our camera and we'll get out of your hair. I'm incredibly sorry."
Before any feet can pass the camera, the door is closed with a fierce slam. There's a brief pause, filled with an uncomfortable silence.
Annie Walters: "Child. These men are trying to hurt me. They're trying to hurt US. Stop them before they cause us pain!"
The room is suddenly filled with the chilling screams of the two media staff, combined with the violent grunts and thumps that you'd expect to hear from a beating. From the corner of the scene, Annie Walters gently falls to a seated position, cradling her knees and shaking her head. This is all we're able to see for several seconds, which is accompanied by the sounds of a horrific assault. After half a minute, there's silence. It's a dramatic contrast from the shrill cries of pain and anguish that came before it. Nefarious can be heard wheezing and groaning again, which acts as a trigger for Walters. She slowly turns her stare towards the lens of the camera, fixing her ice cold glare onto us for a few moments.
