After a vigorous work out, Delta quenched her thirst by downing her bottle of water. Now that Delta was returning to the ring, she wanted to be in her physical peak than ever before. It has been four years since Delta had stepped into the ring as an in-ring competitor. For her, she had to remove any kind of ring rust before she made her debut for the GZWA. On the upcoming Primetime she is scheduled to face Nikki Bella, a former WWE Diva who has jumped over to GZWA over a supposedly break up with WWE’s golden boy, John Cena.
Even Delta was sweaty and tired from her workout, she still looked fresh faced with her lack of makeup. She wiped down her access sweat with a towel and then placed the towel around her neck.
“Hey there.” A male voice greeted Delta much to her surprise.
Delta looked over to see Daniel Widdel who had just came out from the weights room. Delta’s face lit up seeing Daniel and gave him a hug to show her happiness of seeing him.
“I’m so glad to see you!” Delta let go of the hug.
“I didn’t expect you to be that happy to see me.” Daniel said rubbing his chin letting out a laugh.
“Why is that?” Delta raised an eyebrow. “You think I still hold a grudge with you after what happened the last time I was in the ring?”
“Oh, that time when I lied to you and my wife beat you up senseless?” Daniel coyly responded.
“You could say that.” Delta pressed her lips together, putting her hands on her hips. “Your wife as in, my cousin.”
The two laughed at the memory of Amiee Vaughan, who basically was a loose cannon in the now defunct ZXWWF. Times have certainly changed, with Amiee unable to make a possible return with her husband or cousin in GZWA. Amiee’s flourishing acting career and the impending arrival of her first child was a factor.
“It’s all cool, Daniel, you are forgiven for what happened four years ago.” Delta patted Daniel like it was some consolation that she forgave him.
“Oh thank god.” Daniel jokingly expressed relief over Delta’s forgiveness.
Delta crossed her arms and rolled her eyes not too impressed with his mockery. Delta went on to change the subject. “Are you ready for your match?”
“I’m up against five guys in a battle royal, of course I have to be ready.” Daniel slightly shrugged his shoulders. “Three out of five, including me are making debuts or returns. So I don’t know if it makes it easier of harder.”
“Isn’t your former arch rival Samuel in this match?” Delta quizzed, trying to recall the scheduled matches for Primetime.
“Good old Sammy boy, we definitely go way back.” Daniel smirked remembering his epic feud with Samuel back in the day.
His rivalry with Samuel goes way back, being Daniel’s first main feud when he started out in wrestling. Samuel was the one who won Daniel’s first championship off him.
“The other opponents in the match are Leon Torres, Victor Phillips and Big E.” Daniel counted on his fingers making sure he had listed everyone in his match.
“Well good luck with your match, you have some tough competition to bypass.” Delta earnestly smiled at Daniel.
Daniel nodded his head, agreeing with Delta’s notion about his competition. “What match are you booked in?”
“Nikki Bella.” Delta said the name dryly.
“Is she the twin with the big boobs?” Even though it seemed Daniel was acting facetious, he still found a bit hard to differentiate the Bella Twins.
“Yes, the one with the boobs.” Delta rolled her eyes again.
“Oh nice, that sounds like it would be a good match for you to get back into the game.”
“Thanks.” Delta scratched her head, a little confused about Daniel’s genuineness.
“Can I ask you something?” Daniel added in. “Since, you know, we are in GZWA.” Daniel paused again, trying to think of a possibly way to continue on with this question. “Do you want to be my manager?”
Delta was taken aback by Daniel asking her to be his manager. “You want me to manage you?” Delta sheepishly looked at Daniel who was nodding his head. “Are you serious?”
“How can I say this” Daniel took a deep breath. “You’re like a little sister to me.”
“I’m older than you.” Delta inserted, crossing her arms.
“The sister I never had?” Daniel tried to correct himself, forgetting the fact that Delta was older than him by a couple of months.
Delta sighed with a smile emerging from her face. “Fine, I’ll manage you.”
“Fantastic.” Daniel clapped his hands together. “Don’t worry, I won’t turn you on...” Daniel paused realizing his Freudian slip. “I mean, turn my back on you.”
“The only person you should be turning on is your wife.” Delta winked, patting Daniel on the back.
Daniel shook his head, not even bothering to save face. Delta took another sip of her water and gradually backed away from Daniel.
“See you later, Danny.” Delta lifted her hand to wave at Daniel walking off.
Daniel muttered to himself. “I don’t like being called Danny.”
