New year, same Meta.

[The Bradley Clan]

"It's Goin' Down" hits the speakers and GZWA Television Champion "Meta" Mike Bradley appears for a rare in-ring pre-match appearance. He enters the ring, does a couple of windmills to pump up the crowd, and grabs a microphone.

"Well, it's certainly a lot more roomy here than the other places I've been cutting promos the past few times. And I'm not even limited to 140 characters this time!"

The crowd laughs a little bit, but not much.

"Yeah, I know. Bad John Cena-level humor. Sorry. Listen, I know you guys are psyched to see me, but I'm not here to beat around the bush. I'm here to make a statement, just like I do every time I'm in this ring or on this mic. Let's look at some facts:"

"FACT:
I have not lost a match since winning the Television Title."

"FACT:
That unbeaten streak includes two title defenses."

"FACT: Everybody in that locker room
wants to tear me limb from limb, whether or not they want my title."

"And most importantly, FACT: I have
never, and WILL never, give a fuck about what anyone thinks about me! If you guys want a piece of me or this
hardware, I'm not hard to find. I'm the idiot doing windmills in the
ring shortly before choking suckers out with the Boston Strangler or
blowing heads off shoulders with my trusty kendo stick!"

The crowd begins chanting "Meta! Meta!"

"But hold on to your diapers, kids,
because you don't get your chance just yet. Right now I have to deal
with AJ Styles and Raven to determine the “greatest champion of
2013”! Hooray! It's like Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the
Year, in that it's a highly subjective title that none of us actually
give a shit about. Bragging rights? Sure. Best champion? You don't
need this match to know who it is. Look at all the adversity I
overcame to turn in the greatest year in my career: mid-match health
scare, betrayal by a family member, three grueling title matches.
Convinced yet? I'm still standing after all that, and that should
make you all very scared!"

The crowd resumes the “Meta! Meta!” chants, even louder than before.

"So come Primetime, when the show is
over, one man will stand above all others, one man will kick off 2014
the same way he closed out 2013, and one man will leave no doubt who
really is the best, most dynamic wrestler in the world – Meta.
Mike. Bradley!"

And if you don't know... now you know!

He drops the mic and steps out of the
ring to slap hands with the fans.
