After everything that had transpired last week between Genesis and Kayda, the obvious question was how can these two put aside their personal and professional differences to work as a team for tonight's main event? The answer was simple -- not a chance in hell! This was about to be made crystal clear by Genesis himself. Tonight, he setup a special interview with a very familiar face.
Paid out of his own pocket to conduct this special interview. Genesis called up one of the greatest announcers of all time. His name is synonymous with professional wrestling. A true legend in our great sport. The one and only...
"Good Ol' J.R." himself, Jim Ross!
This interview was going to a special one, not just because Jim Ross is conducting it... but for other motives. Genesis promised he would push the bar and the games were only just beginning. Tonight, is the start of those games. The setting was in an abandoned room of an old facility, used to promote sporting events and things of that nature. Jim was told specifically to come here. It was like a scene out of a horror film and had that eerie, creepy vibe. When Jim opened the door to this room and walked in, this is what he saw...
The ambiance of the room was lit candles. The type you would see in a typical, Gothic horror style setting. Among all these candles was a single, lone table with two chairs.
The room was empty... or so Jim had thought. On the table was a small candle and a picture frame. The picture frame was an 8x8. What the picture was about is going to be revealed soon enough. Jim came in prepared to give a typical "wrestling" interview. He did not expect what he was about to experience next. He felt completely out of his element. He took a deep breath and exhaled, trying to mentally prepare his mind for what lied ahead.
Out from the corner of the room, a dark silhouette of a figure slowly stepped out from the shadows. As the footsteps echoed throughout the room, the man approached Jim as Jim gasped. Out of surprise and out of shock for what he saw standing before him. The man, in a soft spoken whispered tone said to Jim: "Have a seat...we have much to discuss."
Jim sat down in the chair closest to him, while the other man sat across from Jim. The man was wearing a hooded robe, leather pants and black boots.
The man pulled back the hood to show his face to be none other than Genesis, as he smiled at Jim and said the following.
Genesis: "Thank you for coming on such short notice. I promise this will be an interview you will never forget."
Jim took one good look around the room and replied to Genesis:
Jim Ross: "No offense intended, Genesis, but this is already an unforgettable interview and we haven't started yet."
Genesis lets out a big cackle (laugh) as he replied to J.R.
Genesis: "Trust me, it gets better."
Jim Ross: "If I may be blunt, why are we here, Genesis?"
Genesis sighed, as he looked around the room and smiled back at Jim.
Genesis: "Consider this room filled with darkness, and everything else that will be revealed to you to be very... symbolic." *chuckles*
Jim Ross: "Symbolic?"
Genesis: "Look all around you, Jim. Take a closer look at the walls if you must."
Genesis nods and motions for Jim to walk around the room. Jim reluctantly gets up from his chair and walks over to one of the walls. Noticing some strange markings and writings among tattered and torn photographs.
Genesis: "Do you see what I see, Jim?"
Jim Ross: "Genesis, what is with all these pictures? And why do you have "SIEBEN" written all over them in?"
Genesis: "Well... one could say the 'writing is on the wall' when it comes to the unstable frame of mind for Kayda Erikson. The pictures are torn photographs of what can be seen on the surface as 'her world'."
The pictures Genesis was referring to on the walls were that of Eric Fish and Subway to Sally. Pictures of him and the group were plastered all over the walls from one side of the room to the other. All covered up with writings of "SIEBEN" painted in a crimson red. The paint was fresh, and dripped off the walls to the floor. This was beyond bizarre and made you wonder who was truly the crazy one. Kayda Erikson or Genesis?
Jim turned and looked back at Genesis. Shrugging his arms as he spoke.
Jim Ross: "Haven't you made this poor woman's life a living hell for long enough, Genesis?"
Genesis smirked, as he pulled the hood over his head to mask his face.
Genesis: "Not even close, J.R. If she believes her life is a mess now. Wait until the truth is revealed..."
Jim walks over to Genesis and joins him again at the table. Replying:
Jim Ross: "Truth? What do you mean by that?"
Genesis: "You see, Jim, this rivalry between Kayda and I runs much deeper than a simple revenge plot. This is more than her hurting my wife humiliating Kristine. This is so much more. And yet, she's a helpless lamb and doesn't even know exactly who she is messing with."
Jim Ross: "Earlier you said this room was very symbolic to you. Care to elaborate on that?"
Genesis: "Gladly. This ambiance surrounding us is Kayda's mind. The writings on the wall. The pictures of Eric Fish and Subway to Sally. The darkness that engulfs the room with the dim shed of light. A light that continues to burn inside her soul to keep her going from day to day. She lives, breathes and would die for all that you see on the walls. Where we are sitting at is the 'center' of mind... the part of her mind that has yet to be revealed. Because 'I' hold the truth behind it."
Jim Ross: "Gen, can we stop with the cryptic responses and get to the heart of the matter. What is this 'truth' you are going on and on about?"
Genesis: "One can say that Kayda and I... well...": *chuckles*
Jim Ross: "Well what!"
Genesis: "I believe a picture is worth a thousand words, Jim. Here, take a look at this photograph. Look closely. This is for your eyes only. This is the reason I brought you out here this evening."
Genesis hands the 8x8 framed photograph to J.R. Jim examines the picture and is stunned at what he sees.
Jim Ross:"This can't be... No! These people. The children. If this is what I think it is, Genesis, this poor woman's world is going to be turned upside down. She's been through enough, Genesis! She's mentally unstable as it is. If you do this you're putting your lives on the line by the results of your actions. In time, she does need to know the 'truth', but now isn't the time. Get her the help she needs, then tell her. If you do this now, the consequences of your reactions could be catastrophic for everyone involved!"
Genesis: "You're right, Jim. Kayda's life will be ripped to shreds. Her world will be shattered like broken glass. She will never be able to look at herself in the mirror ever again. The world she thought she knew will be nothing more than a stranger. Everything will change. I hold the key to her life, and I have the power to unlock those doors whenever I please! 'Genna' needs me as much as I need her, and she'll need me even more when I show the world what I know. You are the only one besides me that knows the truth, J.R. Not even Kristine knows about this. In due time, I will reveal everything. Tonight is not the time. But soon, very soon... I'm going to reveal everything.
Oh, and one more thing J.R. Do you see these candles?"
*Jim nods*
Genesis: "Consider these candles to be the only shed of light that continues to flicker and burn inside her body. It would be a shame if those were put out one by one, wouldn't it? Once I tell the world everything that needs to be told, she will have no reason to live. I will have broken her! I will have accomplished my goal and showed her that she will never be on my level, even though one could say that Kayda and I are... well.... 'one in the same'. Everything you see in this room is a reflection of her true existence to this world, Jim. Just like the reflection in the mirror during one of her intimate moments with "Eric". Even the 'blood stained' words of Sieben written all over the place. Everything in this room has a place in her life.... including yours truly. I chose you to do this interview because I knew you would be the right person for the job. I couldn't trust some generic interviewer with this knowledge. You, on the other hand, you are the symbol of the wrestling business. When you speak, the world listens and hangs off your every word, Jim Ross. You're a man of integrity, pride and true to your word. Me? I am the Best in the World! The 1-Man Dynasty! No one can stop me! You see, I may not always get what I want... but I always been able to get exactly what I need! Simply put, I can and will be a symphony of destruction. I hurt people, J.R. I mame, destroy and leave a trail of bodies and battered sheep to the slaughters of man in my path. I stop at nothing to get to where I need to be in this world. Without a championship. Without a Slammy award. Without a bogus nickname. Without becoming a ranting and raving lunatic whose every other word is a cuss word. Without watching all the whores in this company flash their assets for attention and stardom. I am and never will be none of those things. I stand alone! A league that no one can ever touch. I don't strive to be the next Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, Bruno Sammartino, and yes, even AJ Styles or CM Punk! I strive to be the one and only Genesis! Often imitated, and never to be duplicated. I am not at all concerned about the match tonight. What everyone else involved should be concerned about? Is what I will do to them when they cross my path. Hano bragged about winning his match last night. Yet, he's so blind and stupid to the truth. He needed that win more than Genesis needed to beat him. That's a fact. Hano? You can thank me later for the false 'high' you've been given. Don't expect that to ever happen again next we meet.
Tonight, Genesis will take center stage. This federation is my stage, and I am the whole damn show! Don't believe me? Look at everything I've done for this company since day #1. Look at how I've managed to put all the eyes and ears onto this company after my match with CM Punk. On that day, the ball was dropped by CM Punk and he failed to live up to his own expectations. So, what did Genesis do? I picked it up and ran with it. I don't need a title. I don't need a catchy nickname or a phrase. I have everything that I need right here (points to his chest) in my heart & soul. Bottom line, GZWA needs Genesis more than Genesis needs GZWA! And it's about damn time that all the stooges from the bottom of the totem pole to the CEO himself, Xion Zeros, sees it with their very own eyes. Far as I'm concerned, Jim, this interview is over. Kayda? Consider the fate of your world... and mine... to rest firmly and comfortably in my hands! Just like the fate of everyone competing in this match tonight!"
Genesis gets up from his chair and walks away. Jim Ross can only sit there, ponder and shake his head at what the hell just took place in this very room. This was by far the most bizarre and strange interview that he has ever conducted in his professional career. Perhaps one that will go down in the history books at an interview that GZWA will never forget either!
