"Get Ready to Fly" by GRITS starts to play through the PA system, as The Phenomenal One wastes no time appearing on the ramp. He pats the GZWA Heavyweight Championship around his waist and puts his gloved hands together forming the P1 symbol and moves his hands through the air, flashing the symbol from one side of the arena to the other before making his way down the ramp, picking a microphone up in the process. He slides into the ring as his music fades out allowing him to speak.
Three years, Genesis. It's been almost three long years since we've both begun our careers in GZWA. And guess what? It looks like not much has changed. I'm still the face of a major company, and you're still whining about your lack of progress and blaming other people for stealing your thunder. Well, that might be true if you had thunder to steal. But let's face it. In the past three years, I've busted my ass and tried to make a name for myself by challenging for the Television Championship, earning that, and then moving onto the GZWA Heavyweight Championship, which I've held for over a year and a half. In the same amount of time, you've been involved with almost every woman on the roster whether it's in a relationship or simply making their lives a living hell. You've done nothing worthy of remembering or even worthy enough to prove to anyone that you deserve a shot at this or any other championship. Quite frankly, Gen, the last three years for you has pretty much been a waste of time.
He pauses to unclasp the championship from his waist, as he now hoists it over his right shoulder and paces around the ring before lifting the mic to speak again.
Switching gears for a second, you say that I'd better pray and thank God that this isn't on the line tonight? You know that I have no problem defending the championship against any one at any time. It wasn't my decision to make this a non title match tonight, and I've said several times in the past that if you want a shot at this, you just say the words and it's as good as done. I've been in the ring with you multiple times, and as much as you'd like to convince the world that you're invincible, the only person who believes that load of garbage is you. I know all too well that you're a solid competitor and one of the best in this company, but like everyone else in the back, you've been beaten before and it's no secret that I've been one of the ones that's found your weaknesses. You can discredit my accomplishments all you want, but at the end of the day, this gold is around MY waist. AJ Styles is the GZWA Heavyweight Champion...and whether you like it or not Mr. King of Controversy? At Final Encounter...AJ Styles is the one who's in control of your destiny. I'm not afraid of your empty threats, and I sure as hell am not afraid of facing you in this ring whether the gold is on the line or not.
So, I say you go for it. You bring your A game tonight, like I know you will and I'm going to continue to bring the same attitude and the same thing I've brought each and every night for the three years I've been here and every night since I got started in this business. We'll come full circle and leave it all in the ring tonight. AJ Styles vs. Genesis. The Phenomenal One vs. King of Controversy. We're going to remind our fans why GZWA is on a different level of professional wrestling. And when it's all said and done, when the smoke clears from whatever happens tonight, one of us is going to walk out of that ring a winner...and it doesn't matter if it's AJ Styles. It doesn't matter if it's Genesis. Because this feud between us is far from over. Hell, this feud between us might never be over, but let's just get one thing straight. I'll go on record right here and now and say that I'm going to call your match at Final Encounter down the middle completely unbiased.
That's right! I don't care if I defend my championship against Hano Eiyu. I don't care if I defend my championship against Genesis. Because when that match is over, I will STILL be GZWA...World...Heavyweight...Champion!
Styles drops the mic on the ground, before throwing his hands up in a P1 symbol. The GZWA Nation erupts in cheers, while AJ plays to the crowd as the feed fades out.
