--------------- Sample Roleplay ---------------
The camera opens with a shot of the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, tall skyscrapers casting a strong divide of the city to the Atlantic Ocean. Beaches filled with people, as strong rays of an early summer sunrise cast a short glare on the lens, causing a small drop in quality before refocusing. A silhouetted figure is slowly revealed in a pan out; the aviators and fedora become apparently before the face even takes shape in the sunlight. Further panning reveals a well-dressed figure, shoes glistening off of the rays while the matching tux shirt and pants appear to be that of a wealthy professional while being worn in the most casual of stances. Resting his elbows on the railing and seeming entranced by the sounds of the Jersey Shore, the stranger all but sighs, head wagging back and forth with either a nonchalant gesture or a hidden gem of truth being gored out of his stomach, the stranger speaks without moving a muscle.
"The dawn; such a beauty on the eye. Nay, maybe even that of the soul. A vision so powerful that we use it's description to empower our words. A new dawn. A new beginning to everything... everyone. A sign of hope and a reminder of how the world will always begin and end; how little control we may have of those things."[/span]
The man straightens his back with the urgency of a sloth. His mind seems to be on the words that come out and the surrounding environment; nothing more. He turns towards the camera, though the aviators in front of his eyes block out his true intent. His legs begin a pace of care so little it be lost in the ocean breeze, his body language unchanged from before; his limbs slouched with cerebral weights attached, his head being victim to momentum as the stranger continues his soliloquey.
"Years have gone by since I traded back my boots for dice. My lifestyle stayed solid while my living dramatically became fluid. Nights on the road became nights of staying seated for hours, learning match cards and opponents became knowing what dealer liked which drink. My body recovered and my soul could be at peace. At least... I thought so." The stranger stopped dead in his tracks, his dominate hand coming from the bottom of the screen, raising to lower the aviators from his face. As the black holes of protection left, the void was filled with deep-green eyes, narrowed by eyelids intent on bashing their message through; regret, hubris, determination. "Now, I cannot sleep not because of flashing sounds of greed, but because of the questions left unanswered by my own selfishness. What about the others? Had I really done everything? Weren't there more out there, a line of challenges more invigorating than some upstate tourist. Nah, man; this is better than all of that."
"A new dawn approaches ladies and gents, and to all it entertains, I bow my head graciously. To those caught up in it's wake... well, lady luck can't shine on everyone, right?"
With that, the stranger smirks, and quickly the lens of the camera is shielded from the face of the man; in it's place, a lone poker chip rests, the all too familiar words etched on as both a signal and a message.
