The scene opens to show Lise Starr standing in front of the mirror located in the bathroom of the SES locker room. She’s dressed in jeans and a black and white striped tank top with her hair down and a little messy. Lise looks into the mirror, unsure what to say. It seems she’s trying to practice for a future promo or something judging by how she’s running her hands through her hair. Could explain why it’s messy.
“Okay Lisey… you can do this. You’ve done this a thousand times! Just focus!”
Lise looks down, taking a deep breath. She exhales and looks back up at the mirror.
“Despite falling through a glass table, I’m ready to go on and continue to fight. No glass or cuts are going to stop me. I like to think of this week’s Primetime as a start of a new chapter in my life, one that finally does not involve AJ Lee, or as I now refer her to: She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I’ll be facing Bayley. I know quite a bit about her past work. The girl’s adorable with the pogo-sticks and the bows. Can’t say I am fond of the hugging though. If you know me, you’ll know that I don’t appreciate strangers going all up in my personal space.”
She places her hands on her hips.
“You’ll also know that after my year of err… events, I wouldn’t be in the mood for someone to start fangirling over me. That being said, I do think Bayley’s a talented girl but I’m not going easy on her because she’s new here or she’s like a little puppy. So no hugs for me…”
Shaking her head, Lise sighs.
“What the hell was that? “No hugs for me”? Did I just turn into a goddamn emo kid for a second there? C’mon… there’s gotta be something here.”
Lise removes her hands from her hips and folds her arms.
“Okay okay… this week I’m facing Bayley. She’s new to GZWA; she came from a place pretty different to here. In GZWA we don’t have bubbles, we don’t have pixie dust and we certainly don’t have inflatable wacky waving tube men. This place isn’t so innocent. So I see Bayley as a pug entering a room of pitbulls. However, does it mean she is weak? No. Many people seem to underestimate her because of the hair bows. But underneath those bows, the girl’s packing some strength. Those hugs can be pretty rough but you see, despite the whole being the adorable newcomer, I am NOT going easy on her. I can’t afford to lose. I’m done with being embarrassed.”
After she runs her hands through her long, dark hair, Lise places her hands onto the sink, continuing to look at her reflection in the mirror.
“Sure, I might have won at Final Encounter. I just feel that I need to pick myself up a little, I wanna prove that I can be a champion and the top woman of this company. I feel as if I wasted two years of my career because of She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and my personal issues. When I returned to GZWA, I was on a winning streak. I need to get back on that level, it starts tonight on Primetime when I beat Bayley."
