In a pre-tape for Primetime, the GZWA camera crew was able to get the Ladies of Doom to speak about the recent events of the now renamed vixens division. Both ladies sat behind a backdrop, looking casual and refreshed. Delta started their promo.
“It appears in the past week that the women of GZWA is a trending hot topic. With so many opinions about how each women perform, look and status, it has reached a boiling point.”
Delta gave a brief rundown of the recent events. Delta looked over at her younger sister Endee who frowned.
“I know everything about that. I mean, that’s been the majority of my career.” Endee shrugged her shoulders.
“We could easily brush it off and say they are just jealous” Delta chortled, then rolled her eyes. “Blame it on jealously”
“There will always be people complaining about something, that’s why we can’t have nice things.”
“Yep, It’s always ego that’s gets in the way and I’m no stranger to it. My career has gone through it and it almost ended it for good.”
Delta admitted, sighing at the memory of the beginnings of her career.
“I have to admit, this woman beside me has become my greatest teacher. I think everyone should learn from Endee.” Delta playfully nudged her sister.
Endee blushed. “You stop that right now.”
“Hey, don’t sell yourself short Endee… Now that gives me the excellent segue to talk about actually selling yourself. And I don’t mean, becoming a prostitute, I mean it as a marketing way. I’m not here to give you a lecture about how important it is to “brand” yourself, I’m not an expert in that.”
Endee raised up her hand. “I am, actually. I mastered in Visual Communication. I know everything about that topic.”
“Well go on..” Delta grinned and signaled Endee to give her expert knowledge.
“Let me start off with the question, what exactly is a wrestler? It’s putting on exciting matches, storytelling and entertaining the fans, right? Now, what is a successful wrestler?”
“Hold on Endee, shouldn’t there be a difference?” Delta said in an attentive tone.
“Everyone wonders why the talented wrestlers get shafted for lesser talented? It’s always an outrage. Why does such a talented individual spend years in the independents while someone who had like 2 years max training gets pushed into the big leagues. Why does that happen?”
Delta shrugged her shoulders. “Because life isn’t fair?”
“No, it’s simple timing, being at the right place at the right time and offering SOMETHING to a brand. In a way, we are our own brand. When we come into GZWA, we are a sub brand.”
“Woah, slow down. Endee, you don’t want to confuse the masses.”
“At least I went to college, Delta.” Endee winked at your sister.
Delta crossed her arms to sternly talk back. “Hey now, I am educated for your information.”
Endee continued. “For example, what does Danielle Bradley offer? Well, she claims is that she is only a wrestler, while looking down at girls who have modelled in magazines.”
“Modelling means more marketing for our brand, right?” Delta chimed in.
“Well yeah, we have to get yourself out there. Everyone takes a picture, that’s how we get our faces out there. I see nothing wrong with that. But my point is, you can’t be only just a wrestler.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I don’t want to bore you with Branding 101, but this actually goes out for not only the females in GZWA, but the males out there. We are all wrestlers, that’s a given, so you can’t brand yourself as only a wrestler. You won’t be successful in this world of wrestling. What brand you offer? Well it’s up to you.”
“For one, we are the Ladies of Doom.” Delta points towards the LOD T-Shirt she is wearing. "Which is on special price for 9.99..."
Endee softly smiled. “Divas, Vixens or Ladies, we should be our own individual. Win or lose, it’s about how you play the game.”
“With the fire lit under everyone’s asses, this game is about to get even better. Good luck!” Delta concluded the promo.
OOC - My branding work sort of slipped into this promo. Sorry about that, but it inspired me to get something in. I realised that in Endee's bio I had her study Visual Communication and ironically I'm studying that now!
