The scene opens up on a stage set. Larger than life, TV personality Roquel Weathers is shown sitting on stage getting her hair and makeup touched up by her team of stylist. the cameraman cues everyone to get in their places. The stylists leave the stage. The director gives a countdown and cues Roquel to begin.
Roquel: “Child, I am back! In front of your TV screen! Yesssss Honey! From queen of your radio, to television screens across the world. I am Roquel Weathers! Now today I'm here to speak with a good Judy of mine. We've worked together on the set of The Life LA, and now she's about to appear on her own reality show, "GZWA’s Total Vixens"! Please help me welcome resident diva and GZWA superstar, Morgan Davis!”
The Georgia Peach enters from behind the curtains dressed in a long golden V-Neck dress. Her wave to the applauding crowd was short, but sweet as they welcome her with open arms and ears. Weather's and Davis’s greeting was much more casual, spreading their arms, and their smiles, wide as they tip-toed to each other. They gave a tight squeeze, before separating and sitting down on adjacent couches.
Roquel: “Well hello hello love! How have you been?”
Morgan: “I’m good, girl! How are you?”
Roquel smalls her fingers as she speaks.
Roquel: “Sitting pretty as always honey! Yesss. Like those girls! You are spilling out of that dress! I love it!”
Morgan: “Well, naturally. You know my girls sit like ladies when they come out.”
The Georgia Peach follows up with pushing her cleavages upwards and laughing. Easily a crowd pleaser with the laughter and applauding that came afterwards. The majority of the crowd was women, so they could relate.
Roquel: “Yes god child! Let's give everyone a little background on Miss Davis. Who are you honey, for those that may not know?
Morgan: “Well, I’m a professional wrestler from Decatur, Georgia. A town down! (laughs) I was raised in a balanced home by my mother and father, and best believe that I am a daddy’s girl. I was raised in a homegrown, soulful lifestyle. Chicken, collard greens, all of that.”
Roquel: “Yesss! A nice wing fried hard with the hot sauce!
Laughter and applause comes from the audience before Morgan continues.
Morgan: “I didn’t have the best financial lifestyle, but my parents always made sure that me and my two other siblings were okay.”
Roquel: “All girls or boys? Or is it a mixture?”
Morgan: “An younger brother, and sister, so I’m the oldest. The mindful one.”
Roquel: “And we can tell from you picking professional wrestling as a career. So why wrestling? How did that come about?”
Morgan: “My brother is a huge fan. He would watch WWE religiously, or as it was called back then, WWF. He loved the Attitude Era. Dwayne “The Rock”Johnson was his favorite, and I can admit that he was my favorite superstar too, but I loved Miss Jacqueline Moore, a beautiful Southern sista like me. She was the Diva that had the confidence, the body, and could stiff anybody. She let you know that if you wrestled her, you’d leave the ring with a black eye, and that’s someone I wanted to be.”
Roquel: “Now before you became professional, you actually trained at a wrestling school... Tell me about that.”
Morgan: “I was trained at WWA4, a wrestling school here in Atlanta, Georgia. They’ve trained superstars like AJ Styles, Rhaka Khan, Shad from Cryme Time, Chuck Palumbo…. “
Morgan pauses to look at a few of the audiences expressions. Either blank, or confused on these names mentioned.
Morgan: “Okay, I’m looking at people and they’re like “Who the hell are they?” Let’s just say that they are talents that have been on WWE or TNA, so they’ve been on television. These are pretty big names in the wrestling world, and that’s what I wanted to be, so I trained pretty faithfully after high school. My trainer at the time was Mr. Curtis Hughes. He had this pretty big and bulky “pick em up and slam em” style that I wrestle.”
“Unfortunately, this is the point where it gets candid. Before I went to the training school, I didn’t have the most money for it at the time to spend on it, so I had to work for it as a stripper at Magic City.”
The audience froze in shock. They couldn’t believe the words coming out of Davis’s mouth.
Morgan: “As many people know through social media, I’m known to have no filter when it comes to socializing. Mrs Weathers knows about that when we were kee-kee-ing on Twitter a few months ago. I can be upfront and say yes, I was shaking ass in order to train as a wrestler. People that follow me on Twitter and watch GZWA know that I say that all the time. Clearly, I have no shame.”
Roquel: “Well, “clearly”, it paid off honey, cuz you're getting a check now!”
Morgan: “Okay?!”
Morgan and Roquel go for a high five while the crowd applauses.
Roquel: ”First professional wrestling, and now we are diving into the role of reality TV! Tell me about Total Vixens.
Morgan: “The show is about the lives of six Vixens in our wrestling promotion Ground Zero Wrestling Association located in New York City. The main focus is what we have to go through in and out of the ring, and the scandalous drama that comes with it,”
Roquel: “Who else will be joining you on the cast?”
Morgan: “Well, besides me, there’s my fellow Queen Bees, Tia Brooks and Mariah Cruz…..and then there’s Raven, and Mariah’s two sisters, Amber and Amanda, anyways….
Weathers detects “shade” just as quickly as Davis mumbles the last three names. The reaction from the crowd drowned whatever could be left of Davis’s response, which causes her to laugh from everyone’s expressions.
Roquel: “Oop! The shade honey! I'm guessing we know where the drama is going to come from. I'm guessing you don't like a few people?”
Morgan: “Well, Twitter and both Primetime and Total Vixens can gather evidence on how much we don’t like each other.”
Roquel: “What can your fans expect from you on the show?”
Morgan: “Well much like the others, we all don’t live in New York, so the audience will get to explore the Southern, country background of mine unlike the others on the show. Plus, you’ll get to experience the crazy life that I go through on a daily basis, like training, relationships…all of that good stuff.
Roquel: “Well you have it here honey! Be sure to catch Morgan, along with the rest of the vixens on GZWA’s Total Vixens! The pilot season will be airing in January! Give a round of applause for our special guest today! It was wonderful having you here today!”
Morgan: “Well, thank you for having me, honey. You know I always have a great time with you.”
