Real Name: Gavin Masterson
Height: 5'10"

Birthday: September 8th, 1985
Hometown: Toronto, Ontario [ Billed from Los Angeles, California ]
Disposition: Heel
Gimmick: As the years have past, Masterson has developed into a unique individual. He's extremely arrogant. According to him, he has Rock Star notoriety. In the ring, it's as if he's a different person. He's aggressive, and determined. His wrestling style is highly unpredictable. He's a skilled submissionist, a technical text-book, and he can fly with the best of them. He is also opportunistic and will take advantage of given situations rather than be concerned with the honour of a fair win. He's not above cheating to gain a victory. He's narcisstic, readily inflicts bodily harm to himself, and above all shows no remorse in injuring others.
Attire: Over the years, he’s had many attires. Now however, he’s just got the one. A simple pair of black tights that end at his shin. The boots he wears are tall enough to touch the end of the fabric of the tights. His boots aren’t laced normally, instead the laces are wrapped around the outside of his boots. On his right foot, there’s two sets of laces one tied close to the top of the boot while the other on the bottom underneath his foot. His left leg is simply tied about half way down the length of his boot. His right hand and wrist are covered with black tape, while just his left wrist is. He’ll usually wear a black studded belt around his waist, with a chain worn on his right hip. On the left side of his tights, a shirt is usually worn tucked into his tights and left to hang loosely over his left hip – the shirt is usually that of “Jack Daniels” logo.

Backstory/Career History:
Training
As 2005 neared it's end, Gavin had been training with multiple wrestling facilities - Squared Circle Wrestling and Can-Am Wrestling, picking up as much knowledge as he could. During a training session with the Can-Am Wrestling school, he caught the eye of international wrestling legend, Adam Blake. After the title win, Blake met Gavin backstage and scouted him.
What did Blake scout Gavin for? Deathcore Wrestling. Jimmy Nevada and Nathan Carter (the owners of Deathcore) contacted Blake and asked him to bring a group of younger talents into the company. Blake had a reputation of bringing younger talents into the business. So, Blake asked Gavin to join the new company. Gavin didn't think twice, he gladly accepted.
Deathcore Wrestling
Gavin traveled to Albany, New York which was the home town of Deathcore, a lower level Independent Company. The company had been previously opened, and gained a hardcore image. With the reopening, the image didn't fade any. As soon as Gavin entered the company, he met the other talent Blake scouted ... his team mates; Ryan York, Randi Chase and Sean Sailes. Three of the four athletes were Canadian born, but in a series of promotional videos, the group and Adam Blake baptised Sailes, thus making him Canadian. The group took the obvious name of .. The Canadian Alliance. And Gavin was appointed the leader.
The group started off strong, attacking Jeremiah Xavier and Drake Solace. This set up a huge six-man tag team match. Ryan York, Gavin Masterson, and Sean Sailes against Jeremiah Xavier, Drake Solace, and Michael Rivers. The outcome of the match was a loss for the Canadian's, but they got retribution. They brutally attacked the winning team.. injuring both Rivers and Xavier - career threatening, and ending in the case of Michael Rivers. Ryan York and Drake Solace continued on with their personal rivalry, but Gavin sought out other options.
After staying around the middle of the card for nearly two months, Gavin began to snap. He believed it should be him getting the attention. All of this was going on, while Gavin and the two remaining Canadian Alliance members (Sailes and Chase) were in the middle of a rivalry against Under The Influence (Dalton Hall, Haste, and Blake Edwards). This lead to a Barbed Wire Cage Match. In this match is when Gavin had his infamous snap. He nearly killed Haste. He had to be taken out of the arena on a stretcher, and was hasn't been heard from since. Needless to say, Gavin's rage fueled the Canadian's to win the match.
During all of this, Gavin and Randi became more than just "friends". The two expressed their feelings for one another - and after that conversation, they became a legitimate couple.
After this event, the owners of the company announced a Tag Team Turmoil match. Gavin Masterson and Randi Chase were selected as the team to represent the Canadian Alliance. They entered the turmoil and the match ended with Gavin and Randi against Slimz and Ambika Renton. It was then announced that at Blood Bath, Gavin and Randi would face Slimz and Renton for the newly made Tag Team Championships.
Blood Bath came, and it basically ended up being a handi-cap match. Gavin and Randi had their eyes locked on the titles, and Slimz .. well she had other plans. Slimz was also in the Deathcory Trophy match later that night and she was more concerned with that it appeared. Slimz showed up about half way through the match, but it didn't help her team any. Gavin ultimately pinned Slimz with a new move in his arensal .. Air Canada (which has since been renamed the .44 Caliber).
While Blood Bath was the crowning of the first ever Tag Team Champions for the Canadian Alliance - Ryan York didn't have such a good night. He was in the main event Four Corners match for the Core Championship against Rielle Hawk, Gabe McKearns and Drake Solace. Rielle ended up winning the match and the Core Championship.
After Blood Bath, Deathcore traveled away from Albany for the first time, and went to Canada. The main event hosted Canada's favorite sons, Gavin Masterson against Ryan York in what was thought to be a friendly match. Little did everyone know, Gavin had alternative motives. Gavin was going into the match with the idea of, if I beat him I should find myself in line for a Core Title shot.
Once the match came, the two traded technical moves, and submissions. Gavin surprised Ryan with his aggressiveness. And while it appeared to be an even-contest, Drake Solace came in and attacked Ryan. Everyone thought Gavin would help out his opponent, but once Ryan returned to his feet - Gavin gave his partner his finishing move, and pinned his partner.
He broke through the glass ceiling, and his next match was a handi-cap match. He was to team with Randi Chase to face the seemingly unstoppable White Viper. However, once Deathcore returned back to Albany - the mayor locked the Pit's doors, and kicked the company out of the city.
Canadian Independents & Japanese Training
After Deathcore's closure, a company back home across the border opened it's doors - Ontario Pro. Gavin signed with the company, his sights set on the Niagara Regional Championship, but before he went through with that, he and Ryan traveled to Japan to take in some training.
After a little over a month in Japan, the North Border Youth trained in the NJPW Dojo, learning to hone their tag team skills. During his time in Japan, he met Shuyin Yamazaki. The two began to train with one another, each showing the other their wrestling styles. The Japanese was much different than the way Gavin did things. And combine all of that - now you have one ultimate wrestler.
He returned to Ontario and only had one match against the undefeated Dark Bodhisattva. The match was one for the ages, with Gavin finally getting the win - ending the undefeated streak. After the match, the company closed it's doors.
New Extreme Wrestling / Round Zero Max Alliance
After Ontario Pro., Gavin remained in Canada wrestling on the Indy circuit for some time before being contacted by a man simply known as "The Visionary". The Visionary informed Gavin of a new company based in New York, which would have the same Hardcore feel that Deathcore once had. Gavin didn't hesitate, he quickly agreed.
He arrived in New York to be told he would be teaming with Ryan Payne to face Slimz and Gabe Hartigan for the Wireless Championship. Slimz and Gabe Hartigan were the current co-holders of the title which they won the week before. Ryan and Gavin met, and Ryan told Gavin he didn't want the Wireless Championship, so the two made an deal. Ryan would help Gavin win the Wireless Championship, only to have a favor be returned at a later date.
When the match came, the two did what they planned. Gavin and Ryan won the match after Gavin pinned Slimz. Just as the two were going to be held the championship, Ryan left. Gavin took the championship, thus making there only one Wireless Champion - which is the way it was meant to be. Being the Wireless Champion meant that the holder would defend the title every week at Wireless.
The following week, Gavin finally met Slimz one-on-one. Gavin was, of course, defending his championship against the former champion. The rivalry these two have had has lasted since Deathcore, and this should be the final match between the two. Both competitors gave it their all, but in the end Gavin made Slimz tap out to the Border City Stretch submission move he adopted as his secondary finisher.
The next week he defended against Zante Randulph. Zante came in determined to make a name for himself, and the beginning of the match looked like he would. Gavin turned the tables when Zante tried a dive to the outside. Gavin grabbed his title in time, and held it up so Zante's head would hit the belt. Gavin took control after words, and won the match.
Round Zero Max Alliance: After this match, he jumped on the first plane to Japan. He had a one match return there against a NOAH worker. He won the match, and little did he know he had a letter waiting for him in the back. The letter was from Lexi Sheckler, the co-owner of Round Zero Max Alliance. He attended the NOAH event the next night, which featured one of the owners in a match [Venus Valentine]. Lexi Sheckler was in attendance, as well. After the match, Gavin called Lexi and told her to meet him outside.
Outside, he accepted her offer to join the RZMA. He signed the contract, and his name was also entered in the tournament to determine a new contender for the PURE Championship held by Lexi Sheckler. Also, he was entered in a match on the first Haggard Hazards card against Justin Kage .. in a Cage match. Gavin won the match, making his mark on the RZMA.
Back in New Extreme Wrestling: Gavin was placed in a match at Revolutions Per Minute. He was to team with Shuyin to face J.R. Hawk and Jason Price. The company wouldn't last long after that. He son got word of the NEW's closure, and was looking to board a plane to head back to Japan for RZMA. As soon as he landed in Japan, he was informed that the RMZA had too closed it's doors.
GrandSlam Wrestling / Revolution Wrestling Society
He was now in Japan with no job.. so what would he do? Well he go to ech Japanese company and see if they were looking for talent. He found success at a few companies. He wrestled in Japan for a couple of months before eventually heading back to Canada. Upon his return he was immediately sought after by Ontario based companies Blood, Sweat and Ears and Great Canadian Wrestling. However neither were as important as the next meeting he would take.
A owner by the name of Criss Dream. His global promotion GrandSlam Wrestling had just opened, and Criss was only interested in signing the best athletes. He traveled all across the country of Canada in looks for this next great athlete. With praise from just about every owner and wrestler in Canada .. he found that athlete in Gavin Masterson. At the meeting, not only did Gavin signed the contract for his first global company .. but he also got into a confrontation with GrandSlam legend "Punk Rock" Damien Adams. This confrontation led to a match..
In the match Gavin defeated the legend, almost with ease. A well timed submission forced the legend to submit. Gavin's mainstream career has officially started, and you can tell by the cockiness. He was cocky before, but now the level has been raised to extremes. He found a new partner in Jett Blak and they formed the team "Sex, Drugs 'N Wrestling". In their first match as a team, Gavin and Jett defeated Demon Gate's Matthew and Jack Parker.
During the match, however, Jett was chokeslammed from the inside of the ring, to the outside and he had to take the next week off to nurse his wounds. The following week Gavin would look for revenge against the team .. in a handicap match. Sure the team was much bigger than he was, but Gavin never backs down from anyone. Before the match could even take place, Gavin put them both down with a steel chain wrapped around his fist. Gavin's next match would be with Jett Blak against Takana and King Richard. When it came time for Gavin and Jett to fight for the tag titles, Jett ended up costing the team a victory. Gavin then severed ties with Jett, and brought in Rielle Hawke to be his manager. Gavin's last match in GrandSlam was a victory over Chris Walker, and then his contract was bought out.
Revolution Wrestling Society: He left GrandSlam for the AWA company, but more on that specific company later. During his AWA time, he signed an open contract with the rWs. In his first match he was placed against Blake Ramic. Obviously, he was counted out of the match. Ramic had a perfect track record thus far, and he was defending his Revolutionary Championship. However in a shocking twist of events, Gavin won the match even despite Ramic having help from three other people. He had just won the rWs Revolutionary title. The following week, he successfully defended it against Zach Halo. He asked the management for the following week off as he would be too busy with an upcoming AWA event - but it wasn't granted. So during his absence at the following event, his title was stripped of him and eventually won by Drew Stevenson. He didn't return to the rWs for a couple of weeks - but when he did he was granted a rematch at Drew Stevenson. However this time it wasn't for the Revolutionary championship - it was for the X-Division title in a Scaffold match. Gavin came out of this match the victor, and soon after the rWs closed it's doors.
American Wrestling Alliance
His GrandSlam contract was bought out by Jayson Zine and the AWA company. Gavin and Rielle came over and were both immediately used to promote the companies first event, 'Inception'. Gavin was placed against Johnny Dangerous for the AWA Championship with Andrew Blake as the special referee. In the match, Gavin ended up defeating his opponent and becoming the AWA's first ever Champion. After that event, the Entourage (now consisting of Masterson, Hawke, Ethan Barrington, Andrew Blake, Katt Carter and Gabe McKearns) began a bitter war with Scott Lopez. Eventually more people joined Lopez's side to dethrone the champ and his group. Maxwell Schneider, Nicola Jyentez, Anthony Jordan and Damien Quinn. This set up the Deathcore Chamber match at Aftershock.
In this match Gavin faced five challengers, with Rielle also being in the match. The match took place at the arena where Gavin spent most of his early career; the Pit in Albany, New York. It was pretty much a no-rules thing, where everyone was gunning for the champ. After futile attempts from Schneider, Jyentez and Jordan to take down Gavin, he found himself the victim of a constant double team from Quinn and Lopez. But everything they threw at Gavin, he took and kept coming back for more. He displayed a lot of heart in the match. His downfall finally came when attempting his 'New Addiction' finishing move on Lopez. As soon as he was in mid-air, Quinn nearly decapitated him with a superkick which would be the move that eliminated Gavin, and caused him to lose his title to Quinn who ultimately won the match.
The Entourage would remain in this war with the AWA heroes (Lopez, Quinn, Schneider), even despite the fact that they no longer held the title. All of this would come to a head at the next AWA event "Cival War". In the main event, a two-fall match, the Entourage faced team AWA. The first fall would be a tag team match and the winning team would advance to the second round to fight for the AWA Championship. However the teams weren't as you would expect. The teams were as followed. Rielle Hawke and Maxwell Schneider. Damien Quinn and Drew Stevenson. And Scott Lopez and Gavin Masterson. They would have to work with the people they hated the most. Somehow during the match, Gavin and Scott tapped into some brilliant chemistry.. but what led their team to advance was Gavin not allowing Rielle into the ring to break up the pin.
It was all for the gold. Nothing personal. Gavin would then face Scott Lopez for the AWA Championship. The match, much like every match between the two, went back and fourth but in the end - Scott Lopez managed to win the AWA Championship. Following Cival War, Gavin returned to Champaign with Geordi, not stopping to talk to his Entourage members. It was clear the group was dead. On the next Revolution, Gavin would face Krys Jericho for the number one contendership to the Regional title while Geordi faced Scott Lopez. This week Gavin did help his girlfriend train for this match, as there was no one else who knew Lopez like Gavin. And when match time came, he defeated Jericho.. and during the main event - Gavin nearly took Lopez's head off with a chair, which lead to Geordi defeating the champion.
The following week on Revolution - Gavin faced Karsten Cash for the Regional Championship, and won. He has officially become the first person to hold two different championships in the AWA. Karsten, bitter after her loss, vowed to get back at Gavin and the following week had another match with him. However this match was different than before. This match would be a handicap match. Karsten Cash and Kentucky Cooper with Gavin. Now, Gavin was no stranger to handicap matches - he did defeat all three Trinity Champions byself prior to this. At the beginning of the match, Chris Bane came down to ring side and sat at the commentary desk. Gavin looked to have the match won, but Chris Bane distracted him which allowed Karsten to get the fluke of a victory.
The next week he would defend the Regional Championship against Sean Hunter. And again, when it looked as if Gavin were going to win the match - Chris Bane made his presence felt. This time he attacked both competitors and pulled Hunter's body over Gavin's, giving Hunter the win and the title. The reason behind all of this was; in the tag team match that featured Gavin and Bane on the same team months ago - Bane had made promises to end Scott Lopez, which didn't happen. He blamed Gavin for this, and targeted him. So this brought us to Holy Grail. Gavin Masterson versus Chris Bane. Bane promised that if he lost this match, he would walk away from the AWA forever. A promise he shouldn't have made..
The match was a Holy War match, which was essentally an iron man match inside of a burning steel cage. Bane unleashed all of his rage on Gavin, and yes the match was a brutal one. But in the end, Gavin ended up winning the match after a masked figure came in and attacked Bane. The final tally was one-to-nothing for Gavin. Chris Bane would have to depart from the company, Gavin had ended his career. The AWA closed it's doors soon after - with the identity of the masked person still unknown.
One Night Only: "Last Breath" In December 2008, Jayson Zine contacted Gavin and informed him of his plans of hosting a one night only event entitled "Last Breath". Gavin was the first roster member signed to compete on the card. In early January his opponents for the event were announced. Krys Jericho, Georgia James and Anthony Jordan. The four would compete in a match for the Revolution championship - the only title Gavin hasn't won in the AWA.
Ultimate Pro. Wrestling
After the AWA's closure, Gavin was contacted by Randy Orton - the owner of the Ultimate Pro Wrestling company. Randy saw Gavin's rise to fame in AWA, and asked him to join the UPW roster. Gavin agreed to and made his debut with the company just a week later against one half of the "Untouchables" Lucas Alxander. Gavin beat him with ease, after Lucas promised that he couldn't be beaten by anyone - especially Gavin.
After the event, Gavin aligned himself with Aj Caine and Kenna Willis as "Sex, Drugs and Wrestling".
His next match in the company was against Johnny Phoenix. Right before the match, it was announced that both Gavin and Phoenix were both going to be apart of a big battle royal to determine the new Renegade champion in just 24 hours after this match. During the singles bout, Gavin beat Phoniex and had picked up steam going into the pay per view on the next night, 'Storm Front'. On the next night, Gavin proved to be better than eleven other competitors when he won the battle royal and won himself the Renegade championship.
However, Gavin needed to leave the company due to personal reasons - so after winning the Renegade championship, he had to forfeit it.
Entourage Wrestling Academy
After the AWA's last event, Gavin Masterson and close friend - Rielle Hawke, decided instead of finding a new company to call home, they would open a training facility. The first doors were opened in Albany, New York (which of course was the home of their former company - Deathcore. The E.W.A. was located here for a couple of years, before they closed the doors and relocated to Osaka, Japan. They believed they could tap into the huge Japanese market of professional wrestlers (both domestic and foreign) and they succeeded. A few standout trainees were Edward Catrell and Shaun Galen, both went onto compete for the company the E.W.A. would soon represent - Battle Arts PRO.
Win/Loss Record: Wow, i've played this character for years.. not sure..

Sample Roleplay:
Osaka, Japan. Entourage Wrestling Hall; December 20th, 2014.
In the famed gymnasium, for lack of a better word, of Osaka, Japan – we find the newest batch of young hopefuls gathered. Some one of the rings set up in the middle of the facility, some on the cardio machines lined against the wall, and some doing their workout routines in various areas. The camera operator, though, isn’t here to film any of them. In fact, he walks past quite a number of them before he made his way to a man and woman standing between the two rings. The female was a beauty. Her blonde hair that would normally flow freely over her shoulders, was pulled back into a tight pony tail. She wore training clothes, a tight and skimpy pair of shorts with a white tank top. The man standing adjacent to her wore training pants and was shirtless. He had his head shaved, and sported quite a few tattoos. Instantly some wrestling fans knew who they were, and others? Well, they would soon find out that the female was Rielle Hawke, and the male was Gavin Masterson – and they were the owners, and trainers here at the Entourage Wrestling Hall. Rielle stood with her arms loosely hung at her sides, moving them every so often – indicating that she was speaking. Gavin had his arms crossed over his chest, and his head lowered – listening to his long time friend and partner. The camera would then pick up on the conversation they were having..
RIELLE HAWKE
“Are you sure you’re going to go through with this, Gavin? You haven’t competed in years.”
GAVIN MASTERSON
t h e o u t l a w
“Yes, I’m sure. I may not have competed in years, but I’ve been running this for the entire time. I’m still in shape, and I don’t believe I’ve built up that much ring rust. C’mon, Rielle. You’ve known me long enough to know that.. one, when I’ve made my mind up – nothing’s going to change it. And two.. if I do have ring rust, I will shake it off quickly. Have some faith.”
RIELLE HAWKE
“I do have faith, Gavin. I know that you can go into any company you want and tear the place apart. That’s not the issue, really. We have a good thing going here. When Ground Zero contacted you, why couldn’t you have offered up someone like Galen or Catrell?”
GAVIN MASTERSON
t h e o u t l a w
“Because, I have the itch again. I’m dying to jump back into the ring and superkick someone’s jaw off. I’m dying to climb into the ring and show the world.. and myself, that I am still one of the best alive. Ground Zero contacted us in hopes of securing maybe Galen or Catrell, sure.. but, this was my opportunity. And besides, Galen was busy with his stalker girl in London last time I heard, and Catrell vanished again. That kid always does that.”
Rielle would stay silent this time. She worried about her partner, whether or not she wanted to admit it. Like she initially said, it’s been years since he’s competed – he might not be the same. But, she knew in her heart that Gavin was one of the best she’s ever laced up with, and if anyone can overcome obstacles – whatever they may be – it would be him. Gavin would have liked his friends blessing, but her silence would be enough. He would eventually turn away from her and.. while smirking as he noticed the camera, began to walk away – talking to the views of this video.
GAVIN MASTERSON
t h e o u t l a w
“The last time I stepped inside of the ring to compete was in the American Wrestling Alliance. I went into a triple threat match with an unknown stipulation against two competitors I never had the chance to face before. But there was something special about that match, there was something of great importance to me. See.. I was crowned as the first ever AWA Champion, and then I went onto win the Regional championship, and in this match at the last AWA event? The Revolution championship was on the line. It was the last thing I needed in order to secure myself as the first, last and only Triple Crown Champion of the AWA. And as the bell rung and I looked across the ring at my two opponents, I knew.. I knew.. that I was going to win. I knew because I knew that, hands down, I was better than both of my opponents – combined. Neither of them could hold a candle to me, and I proved that. Once the bell sounded, I dominated them both. From pillar to post in the area, I tore them apart and I walked out as the last ever Revolution Champion. I walked out as the only Triple Crown Champion in AWA history. I ended my career on a high point, perhaps the highest you could reach. But that was years ago, and while those championships and trophies I’ve accumulated over my career look nice hung up in my office here – I still have the urge for more. More championships to be framed, more accomplishments to be had, and more faces to break. Ya’see guys, I’ve looked at the Ground Zero roster after I was sent a letter from the management asking to take a look at a few of my trainees, and I decided that it was due time to satisfy that urge. Why? Because this roster is pathetic.”
A shockwave to the fans and roster members both who were watching this tape. Gavin said it in a cocky tone, his arrogance oozing from every pore on his body.
GAVIN MASTERSON
t h e o u t l a w
“Yeah. I’m callin’ out the entire Ground Zero now. I looked at the so-called “talent” here and I’ve decided to come out of retirement for one last run, for a victory parade if you will. Take your world champion, for example. Jimmy Jacobs. An over-sensitive, emotional little man with a piss-poor work ethic and limited wrestling ability. It’s a wonder why your company stays afloat with such talent. Listen up, Jimmy. Sooner or later, I will be coming for that championship – and when I do, if your still champion, that is – there’s no emo song you can write, there’s no amount of tears you can cry, there’s no rail spike you can grasp – that will save that championship for you. I promise. I promise that once I have you inside of the ring, I will beat you in every aspect of this game you can imagine. I will out wrestle you. I will out brawl you. I will out submission you. And at the end of it all, I’ll leave just a shred of you left to watch as I stand above you with the World Championship held high in the air. And then, and THEN you can cry, write another song and get the hell out of MY company.”
Gavin said, a smirk on his face. It was both cocky, and slightly vicious at the same time. Gavin still had the intensity, and the arrogance that he always displayed. He has now made his way through the facility to his office where, as he mentioned, most of his past championships won are framed and displayed on the walls except for one, his AWA World championship mounted above a 46” television. A trophy that was made to honor his Triple Crown status in AWA also appeared in the room, in the corner next to his desk. Gavin walks to the aforementioned desk and sits down on the edge, still wearing that damn smirk..
GAVIN MASTERSON
t h e o u t l a w
“I don’t care if your Jimmy Jacobs, or who the hell you are. I’m telling you right here, right now … if you stand across the ring from me, you will regret it. I may be coming out of retirement, and I may have not been in competition for awhile, but don’t take my lightly. I’m one of the best in the world, and all of my accomplishments, all of my victories… all of my victims prove that.”
Gavin took a momentary pause after that last threat, before he continued.
GAVIN MASTERSON
t h e o u t l a w
“Heh. You know.. Ground Zero is an appropriate name for this place because after I’m done burning this company down, all that will be left is rubble…and me. Learn to deal with it, boys and girls. Sooner or later, it will happen.”
And that was that. The video tape faded to a black screen, leaving us with the text “Gavin Masterson to Ground Zero Wrestling Association 2015!”
