Backstage after making their Primetime debuts, Ashleigh Cash stood in the gorilla position waiting for Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus to return back through the curtain.
Matthew Miles greeted his girlfriend with a kiss on the cheek before sharing a high-five with his best friend. "We were awesome out there, huh? I told you we were coming back to make an impact."
Ashleigh punches him in the stomach as she looks annoyed, "You TOLD me that you guys wouldn't get mixed up with all of this drama with the Authority, especially not with the Enforcers. Do you two have a dead wish or something? Don't you remember what they did to those guys in INked?"
Matthew rubbed his stomach before running his fingers through his hair, "I'm sorry babe but we couldn't pass up the open challenge. It was the perfect way to make a name for ourselves. We've been out of the game since the early days of ZXWWF. You've been there with us. This is a different place and a fresh start. Sagus and I were laughing stocks there. This time, we want to show everyone we mean business. All of that training isn't going to be for nothing."
Ashleigh continued to look annoyed before smiling, "Okay, but you know I'm not going to stop worrying about you guys out there. Really though? Out of all of the people to pick a fight with you two pick fights with the two guys who didn't even break a sweat against you in old days?"
Psycho Sagus chimes in, "C'mon, Ashleigh. Don't be like that. You're supposed to be our cheerleader. Don't be Debbie Downer."
Ashleigh raises an eyebrow, "Hey, I'm not the one who lost to a freakin' sandwich!"
Psycho Sagus facepalms, "How many times I have to tell you guys? The mat was slippery that night. I tripped up and the sandwich fell on me and the next thing I know that I'm a complete laughing stock of the entire locker room. For crying out loud, who books a match with a sandwich involved anyway?"
Matthew adds, "The SAME boss we're working for now that we were working for back then. We can't let our past weigh us down. We're different people now. When all agreed to link up as a team, we agreed to go into this all or nothing. Besides, lay off the jokes, Ashleigh. You were all punked out when we first meet."
Ashleigh blushes bright red, "SHUT UP! That was just a phase, okay! I was young and foolish back then."
Psycho Sagus laughs, "I don't see much of a difference. You swapped out the lingerie style ring gear for the cheerleader outfit. And your hair's still blue, short stuff."
Ashleigh knees Sagus in the groin to bring him down to his knees out of anger, which immediately ceases their teasing of her.
Matthew Miles laughs, "If Ashleigh keeps that up, everyone's going to start calling us the Ball Busters..."
Ashleigh mused, "You never explained to me why we're called the Mega Busters anyway..."
Matthew Miles throws his hands up in disbelief, "Hello? We're like Mega Man, Proto Man, and Roll! We just skipped that whole thing from Mega Man 3 where Proto Man is all evil then switches back as our ally."
Psycho Sagus winces in pain, "He fought Mega Man again in Mega Man 5 too. Plus, Mega Man and Roll didn't have a relationship like you and Ashleigh have unless we're going for the incest version..."
Matthew and Ashleigh shout in unison, "SHUT UP!"
Sagus nods in defeat, "Okay, okay. Shutting up, geez... I was only kidding."
Ashleigh adds, "Besides, that wasn't Proto Man... that was Dark Man posing as Proto Man, who working for Dr. Wily as usual."
Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus look at Ashleigh in shock.
Ashleigh smirks, "What? I'm just as much of a geek about Mega Man as you guys!"
Fast forward to several days later...
The Mega Busters have arrived to the arena in preparation to tonight's match up. Eden Stiles stops the trio in the corridor for a quick interview.
Eden Stiles: "With me right now are the Mega Busters. We saw Ashleigh Cash make her in-ring debut during the Queen of Queens Tournament preview battle royal while Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus made a surprise attack on the Enforcers during our last Primetime broadcast. First things first, the GZWA Nation are dying to know why did Ashleigh literally hand the victory to Alice Shadow?"
Ashleigh Cash steps forward towards the microphone, "It's no secret that Alice Shadow is my best friend around here. I didn't see it as handing Alice a win. I wanted to make an impact, so I got the job done by eliminating Delta Madison."
Eden Stiles: "Speaking of the Lady So Divine, you will be facing her in the preliminary round of the Queen of Queens Tournament. Do you have any words for your opponent tonight?"
Ashleigh smiles, "Did you see what the Ladies of Doom did as a team in that TLC Match for Tag Team Championship at Dead or Alive last month? What all of those three teams did in that match was legendary. Even though the Ladies of Doom have gone their own separate ways, I'm not selling Delta Madison short in the least. We crossed paths briefly when I was a rookie back in ZXWWF, but I'm a different wrestler now than I was back then. I didn't take her lightly back then and I definitely will be giving this match my best effort as I can't take her lightly in the least. I just want Delta to know that big things come in small packages. Tonight I begin my journey to show my mentor and role model, Mariah, that I'm just as a good of wrestler and person as her because someday I want to be in that ring against her for that coveted Vixen Championship.
When I'm not competing myself, I plan on supporting these two practical jokers at ringside, along with my bestie later tonight."
Eden Stiles: "I'm sure Mariah would be proud to hear that. She won't be in competition tonight, but will be on hand for commentary during the Vixen Champion's match.
During our last Primetime broadcast, we saw the Mega Busters come to the aid of Ry Drake against the Enforcers. Drake has stated in a statement that he didn't ask for help. Exactly why did you two intervene in the Authority's assault of the Dream Killer?"
Matthew Miles confidently answers, "Because we can. While we respectfully understand Ry Drake didn't ask for help, we have to admit that we weren't necessarily coming out there to save his bacon. We heard 'open challenge' and just answered the call. We were running a bit late from the airport, so we figured we'd just ran through the crowd to show up to the party fashionably late. No one else other than the Authority seemed to mind."
Eden Stiles: "But why pick a fight with the Enforcers? The list of Superstars that they have sidelined or hospitalized include but not limited to Keri Cruz and Greg Ramirez of INked, Suicide, and even former GZWA World Heavyweight Champion Hano Eiyu!"
Psycho Sagus weighs in, "Look, wherever we have gone throughout our careers since leaving ZXWWF seven years ago, we have been seen as the little guys who can't get a break, who everyone always looks down on. Maybe we're a bit like Ry Drake, we're crazy, but I like to think that over these years we've acquired passion. Passion to keep fighting, even if it means we don't have a chance in hell of winning. We don't owe Ry Drake any favors and we're not asking for anything in return from him. All that we're asking is a chance to prove ourselves to the GZWA Nation that we deserve to hang with the best wrestlers in the world here in GZWA."
Matthew Miles smirked, "I didn't know you had it in you, buddy. Couldn't have said it better myself. The Enforcers have been bullying people in this industry for well over a decade - in and out of the ring. We're itching at the chance to show them what new tricks we've learned over the years since the last time we've faced off. You could say that this is a bit personal, but at the same time, we're looking to put the Tag Team division on notice."
Eden Stiles: "You've heard it here first, GZWA fans. The Mega Busters are looking to make an impact on the landscape of GZWA on multiple fronts. We'll be wishing all three of you luck out there tonight."
Ashleigh Cash waves at the camera before skipping behind Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus out of the scene as the camera fades to black.
