Sample Roleplay: [This is my latest RP for another character.] The Chronicles of Sarah ::: 1 – IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME
Nothing can make you realize your mistakes like a constant reminder. No matter how many times you’ve tried to escape the past, it always comes back to bite you. The ramifications of our actions are every so apparent as we get older. Mommy and daddy cannot bail you out of your issues when you reach a certain age. We become responsible for whatever we do. The mistakes that we make will always make us realize how stupid we were. They will also make us grow, and that is why we need those experiences.
OFF CAMERA ::: PRIMADONNA GIRL
It had been a few months since the last time that Sarah Robinson was in her home state. The only thing that existed for her in New Orleans were bad memories. The memories of her past were all tied into everything that had to do with the great city in which she was born. The French Quarter was synonymous with one of the most defining moments of her life. It was the beginning of a brand new start, and a bitter end. Either way, Sarah was about to face the very place that she thought was going to be the start of something new. As she stood in the center of the French Quarter, she took the scenes in. As the area is abuzz with tourists and locals, she just stands stationary. On the sidewalk, she looks at the different street performers that are trying to make their daily quick hustles. From the mimes to musicians, she couldn’t help but to be mesmerized by what they were doing. It reminded her so much of the one person that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Eventually, Sarah comes to her senses and continues to walk throughout the area. As she continues to look around, she notices the pure enjoyment that many of the tourist seem to be getting out of the area. She never could quite grasp what tourist thought was special about those performers. Sure, they had talent… but that was about it. They weren’t necessarily unique in any way. The only thing that made them special was the charisma that it took to actually get things done. That charisma is exactly what made Justin so special. As Sarah made her way into the restaurant, she looked around. It was definitely a place that she remembered fondly. The restaurant was Sarah’s favorite place to indulge in the local cuisine. As she begins to walk further into the establishment, she places a smile on her face. Though the smile is obviously faked, she knew that it would suffice. She walked closer to the table. It was obvious that she wasn’t ready for what was about to happen. As she makes it to the table, she places her right hand on the back of the chair. As she pulls it out, she takes a seat. The smile that was on her face slowly fades away. The expression on her face changes to a stern nature as she speaks.
SARAH ::: Kennedy, I’m honestly surprised to even be hearing from you. I mean you disappear for months. You don’t call, text, hell you didn’t even send a damn e-mail. Do you realize how worried I was? I can’t speak for Tori or Taryn, but I’ve been worried about you girl.
Kennedy looked at Sarah with a guilty expression. She clasps her two hands together and places them on the table. As she looks up to her older sister, she takes a deep breath.
KENNEDY ::: Look, I know what I did was fucked up. I just needed some time to myself. I didn’t want any kind of reminder of what happened with mom. Ever since then, this family has been a fucking mess. I mean Taryn went and got herself artificially inseminated. Well, at least that’s what she fucking claims. Tori is over here doing lord knows what just because she can. You’re finally getting your career off the ground. I love that you did that, but seriously I’m just not in the mood to put up with anything for this fucking family.
Kennedy had always been a little overdramatic. If she wasn’t the center of attention, something was wrong with the picture. Growing up in a family of four girls, everyone thought that they were supposed to be the most important. Kennedy was a special exception to this rule however. If she wasn’t number one, she’d find a way to make whoever was reach the brink of a mental breakdown. Sarah could simply shake her head. She didn’t really know how to analyze what Kennedy had just told her.
SARAH ::: So, you couldn’t handle mom’s death. I understand that, but you ran away. You didn’t think that we were all grieving? Instead of staying together as a united family front, you hightailed it like a soldier dodging the draft. Ken, we all had to grieve. We all loved mom, but we didn’t run away. Why should you run away when people are suffering with the same thing as you? We could have helped you get over it.
As Sarah looked at her sister, she could tell that Kennedy was still coming to terms with their mother’s death. Kennedy unclasped her hands as she took a sip of her water. After a moment, she places the glass back down on the table as she looks over at her older sister.
KENNEDY ::: Look, I needed to handle it all on my own. We all deal with grief different. We always have, and we always will. I don’t see why in the hell you think that you can just come here and lecture me. Last time I checked, you didn’t let us help you get over Justin. You just ran away and didn’t try to even listen to what we had to say. You just up and left and decided that Las Vegas was a fantastic place to drown your sorrows. I don’t need you giving me the third degree on grief. That literally is the pot calling the kettle black.
What Kennedy said obviously struck a chord with Sarah. She knew that Kennedy would have brought that situation up. Though the situations couldn’t be more different, she was technically correct. Sarah did run away when her engagement to Justin had ended. Sarah takes a deep breath as she looks at her sister. The look on her face tells a story. Part of Sarah wanted to snatch the obviously very expensive extensions out of her sister’s hair, but she knew that would just start an issue.
SARAH ::: Look, what I did was because I lost the man I loved. He was supposed to be the man that I married. He was supposed to be the father of my son, your nephew. When he decided to leave me that was the worst day of my life. I spent seven years of my life dedicated to that man. We started dating when I was a freshman in high school. You wouldn’t know what that’s like. I remember how you just didn’t believe in love. Hell, I’m pretty sure that you still don’t. You should really get off your high horse. You can’t compare what I did to what you did. I left to grieve for a situation that only I was dealing with. You were not engaged to Justin. Hell, you didn’t even like Justin if I remember correctly. So, why would I have stayed for your support? The only thing your ass would have done was tell me I told you so. I didn’t want to listen to that bullshit. So yeah, I left but at least I didn’t run away from a family issue.
Kennedy looks at Sarah and lets out a soft laugh. Kennedy never took anything seriously, that was her main problem. After she is done with her laughing, she takes another sip of her water. As she placed the glass down onto the table once more, she scoffs at Sarah.
KENNEDY ::: You keep trying to justify leaving when you did. It’s no different than when I did it. You just can’t accept that you did something that was just as wrong as I did. Face it Sarah, you’re no better than me. You’re a fuck up as well. You are pathetic sometimes you know that? I mean you like to act like you are the epitome of all things good. You are so pitiful it makes me laugh. You get on your soap box. You act like you are so holier than thou, but you are absolutely nothing more than a hypocritical bitch.
If words could kill, Kennedy would have just stabbed Sarah straight through the heart. Sarah knew that she’d be met with hostility, but not that much. Instead of listening to her instincts, the older sister takes her glass of water and takes a long sip of it. She never lets her eyes leave Kennedy’s face. She was surprised at how low she had gone this time. Kennedy was no stranger to saying some low down, dirty things. As Sarah places the glass back down on the table. She has an expression that screams anger on her face.
SARAH ::: You know you’ve said some terrible things over the years, but that one took the cake. You’re a fucking bitch, you know that? All you ever do is tear everyone else down just so that can be as miserable as you. No matter how much joy and happiness the rest of us have, Kennedy is always fucking upset. If Kennedy is upset, everyone has to be just as grumpy as she is. I’m fucking tired of it Kennedy. You’re twenty-one years old. You aren’t a little girl anymore. It’s time for you to grow the fuck up. Seriously, the Kennedy show ended a long time ago. The sooner you realize that, the happier you’re going to be. No one will put up with you the way that you are now. This was supposed to be a nice family lunch, but you know that never happens. Since you’re an overly dramatic primadonna, you have to find some way to make everything all about you. Kennedy, I’m tired of it. Stay the fuck away from me. The sooner you do that, the better we’ll all fucking be.
Sarah had officially had enough. She stood up from her chair and grabbed her purse. As she looked at Kennedy one final time, she rolls her eyes. She was tired of all of problems that Kennedy had caused for the entire family over the years. She decided that it was finally time to write Kennedy out of her life, once and for all.
She always does this. Why in the fuck did I have to get stuck in a family full of three overdramatic bitches? I swear, the more you get to know the Robinson sisters, the more dramatic they fucking get. I never thought I’d see the day that a bitch would be more dramatic than Taryn, I was totally wrong. Sure, Taryn Robinson has probably been in more drama than Debbie was in Dallas, but at least she handled it accordingly. Tori is just about as dramatic as her short lived acting career. Since she’s been out of a job, she’s been clinging to that last four minutes of fame she has left. She’s taken up a modeling career, has appeared on gameshows, and even “possibly” a sex tape. I guess some people literally will do anything to extend that fifteen minutes of fame. Kennedy was a special breed of subspecies. That overdramatic nature is what makes Kennedy well Kennedy. She’s always been that way, and she’ll never change. That just doesn’t work for me. I’m on my way to some of the biggest changes in my life in a really long time. For the first time, I’m happy. I’ve moved on from Justin. I have a man in my life who seemingly actually cares about me. I’m finally getting my modeling career back to where it was before my sabbatical. Most importantly, I’m finally going to be stepping into the ring once again. Pride Pro Wrestling has given me the opportunity to wrestle on the next Ignition. I’m so happy that they have given me this chance. After the mishap that I faced during their first Ignition broadcast. I haven’t been back. Now, that’s all going to change.
ON CAMERA ::: THE BEAT GOES ON
As the camera fades into a rather plain room, a few things can be noticed. The first thing that stands out would be the walls. Though the walls are gray, there are pictures all over the place. The pictures are of all of Pride Pro Wrestling’s talents. The eight by ten pictures are all framed and distributed evenly amongst the lengths of the walls. Everyone from JT Midas to World’s Champion Sean Mendez Jr are represented among the pictures. As the camera pans across the wall, more pictures are shown. Once the camera reaches a picture of Sarah Robinson, it stops. The camera then zooms in on the picture of the young beauty showing just about as much skin as she normally does on Twitter. As the camera continues to zoom, it slowly begins to fade away. The scene then moves into a gym. In the gym, there is a wrestling ring. Two women are seen in the wrestling ring. They are going through the typical basic wrestling holds. Headlocks, body slams, shoulder blocks are all being displayed by the two women. Suddenly, the blonde haired beauty dropkicks the other in the face sending her down to the mat. As the blonde breaks her fall, she is quickly back up to her feet. She turns her attention to the outside of the ring as she looks at the camera. A smile has fallen over Sarah Robinson’s face. She was in one of the places that she felt the most comfortable, a wrestling ring. As the camera zooms in closer on her, she is wiping the sweat from her forehead.
“So, let’s just pretend that you all totally didn’t see my perspiring. Well, welcome to my humble abode. My home away from home. Well, not exactly my home away from home… but you get the point! This is my favorite gym to come to here in Los Angeles. It’s nice, quiet, and minimal men hitting on you while you’re trying to do your squats to get the booty just right. Anyway, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Sarah Robinson. Yes, I’m Sarah Robinson of the Robinson sisters. You know, the sisters that include Taryn and Kennedy Robinson? Yeah, that family. Trust me, I feel sorry for myself all the time. However, this isn’t about my sisters who are running a close race for whore of the millennium, this is about me.”
Sarah reaches over and rests her arms on the top rope of the ring. She looks down at the camera with a smile as she readies herself to speak once again.
“This is about me stepping back inside that squared circle. I’m going to be wrestling in my first match in Pride Pro Wrestling since the very first Ignition. I know that seemingly makes me seem like a throwback, but I’m not. Think about me as someone who needed a break, and is back better than ever. You see, I had an issue that kept me from coming back after Ignition one, but that issue is gone. Sarah Robinson is back in Pride Pro Wrestling, and I’m going after what I think I deserve.”
A confident smirk came over Sarah’s face. She takes her arms off the top rope and places her hands on her hips.
“You see, I’ve always dreamed about being the cream of the crop, the top of the hill, the queen of the professional wrestling masses. I don’t know a better place to make that happen than Pride Pro Wrestling. Pride has some of the best female talent that the wrestling world has going today. Rosado is the top of the crop here, and she’s an amazing talent. The thing is, I know that I’m better. I respect her immensely for what she has done for Pride Pro Wrestling since she’s gotten here, but I know that I could be the one to dethrone the current Queen. My road to redemption starts in Albuquerque.”
She was starting to get serious. She stepped towards the ropes and exited the ring. As she stood on the apron, she continues to speak.
“At Ignition, I’m going to be facing Deacon Wolfe. Deacon is going to be looking to avenge her loss at the last Ignition, but tough luck. You’re not going to be avenging anything on me sweetheart. You are a pretty talented wrestler. I’ve followed a lot of your career for a very long time. I know that you can be a very dangerous woman in that ring, but that doesn’t scare me. In fact, it doesn’t worry me in the slightest. You see, you may have had more matches than me, but I’ve never seen you do anything that I should be scared of. You’re someone who will do whatever you can to win, that’s about it. You have this win at all costs attitude that doesn’t benefit you in the long run. The only thing that you can honestly get with that attitude is a bunch of enemies. Enemies are seldom a good thing Deacon, you should realize that.”
She takes a seat on the ring apron. As she crosses her right leg over her left, she places her hands in her long blonde hair.
“Deacon, I’m not scared of you. I’m not scared of you. I’m not scared of your accomplishments. I’m not scared at the fact that you’ve probably wrestled in more companies that have folded than those televised Texas Hold’em tournaments. I have wrestled for my fair share of organization as well, but honey you’ve made more rounds than Debbie did in Dallas. I can’t knock what you’ve done for your career, but I’m a different breed Deacon. I’m not going to just bow down to you. I’m going to bring the fight. I’m going to make sure that you know that Sarah Robinson isn’t someone to take so lightly. I’m not like my sisters. I’m not a self-entitled bitch like Taryn. I’m not a cunt like Kennedy. I’m here to make sure you know that I’m the best. I’m not the best because I’m sleeping with the boss. I’m not the best because I think I deserve everything because my sister fucked the boss. I’m going to be the best because I will show everyone how good I fucking am. I don’t need my sisterly dynasty to help me in any way, shape, or form. I’m here to prove that I’m as good as I am because I am that damn good. Now Deacon, you may want to eat your veggies to get ready for me. I’m not just going to let you think that because this I my first match back in Pride that I’m going to be rusty. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m not rusty in the slightest. I got my ring rust off wrestling in that one night tournament on Valentine’s Day. So Deacon bring your a-game, because I’m bringing mine. See you in Albuquerque.”
Sarah jumps down from the ring apron. She looks at the camera and with a confident smirk, she blows a kiss. The transmission of the feed slowly dies out after this.
