Delta Madison poured two glasses of water from the kitchen in her studio apartment in Torrance, California. She picked up the glasses over to her living room, placing the glasses on coffee table on top of the coasters. On the couch was her cousin Amiee Vaughan reclining, sitting up with her legs to her side. Amiee took one of the glasses and took a sip of the water.
“It’s actually surprising that the first beverage you ask for is water.” Delta sternly said, taking a sip of her own water.
Amiee shrugged her shoulders like it wasn’t such a big deal, even though Amiee was known for her love for alcohol.
“Hey, can’t I have a sober girls night with my favourite cousin I haven’t seen for weeks, and speaking of cousins… where is Endee?” Amiee queried.
Delta let out a soft laugh. “Endee is around, I have empty cereal boxes around the kitchen.”
“Endee has always been a funny girl, I never see that girl these days. Apparently she has gone back to the dark-side, hairwise and personality wise.
“You could say that.” Delta took another sip of her water. “The colour of her hair is always a indication of where her mentality is and speaking of hair… you’re no longer red.”
Delta pointed to the now dark brown hair of Amiee Vaughan. Amiee twirled the loose curls around with her index finger, pouting sensing Delta is playing coy.”
“Oh my god Delta, do I need to pee on a stick for you!” Amiee exclaimed.
Delta farrowed her eyebrows, taken aback by Amiee’s statement. “Ohh?…” After a brief moment, Delta relaxed her face coming to a realisation. “Ohhhhh.”
“I’m drinking water and I’ve dyed my hair, I can’t believe you can’t even piece the two together.” Amiee huffed, crossing her arms together like a spoilt brat.
“Oh, I apologise for not paying extra attention to your life, Amelia.” Delta used a sarcastic tone.
“Don’t give me that condescending tone with me miss. You’re off your a-game!”
“Don’t speak to me about being off your a-game, like you’re the one to talk. You’re still hiding from that Alice Shadow girl.”
Amiee gasped. “Am NOT! That bitch is a psycho, I hate her. Like, she still wants to be my friend, like… Who wants to be friends with me? I’m a terrible person. I hate people. People are the worst, like let me be.”
“And you’re the one bringing more people into the world.” Delta interjected, taking another sip of her water.
“Don’t contradict me! I don’t like that.” Amiee wagged her index finger at Delta.
“I’m just slightly disappointed. I thought you would decide to make one final appearance at GZWA’s Pay-Per View to get ‘even’ with Alice Shadow. Since you know, she initially said she would kiss you if she won the Queen of Queens tournament.”
Amiee groaned, rolling her eyes. “Ugh, don’t remind me about that. That girl is the worst, and she wonders why I’m not “friends” with her anymore. I would totally, like, smack some sense into that girl.”
“You should happy to know that I’ll be facing her in the sem-finals of the Queen of Queens tournament.”
“Fantastic. Kick her assbutt and make her kiss your butt instead.” Amiee remarked in a childish way.
Delta shook her head, with a smirk upon her face. “I should also add that I’m facing Endee too.”
“What?” Amiee raised an eyebrow. “In a triple threat?... Wait, doesn’t she work in another company..”
“She does, but we agreed on having a match to merely settle out our differences. So basically I’ll be wrestling not one but two matches, possibly a third in one night…”
“Are you INSANE?” Amiee belted in utter shock over the fact Delta was wrestling more than one match in one night.
Delta shrugged her shoulders. “Maybe I am insane. It’s a challenge that I’m willing to take.”
Amiee shook her head still not believing that Delta was actually going through with this. Amiee's response was to hit Delta in the face with a pillow from the couch.
The afternoon sun shun against the beige stone wall where Delta Madison stood in front of doing promotional shots for the GZWA Devil’s May Cry Pay-Per-View. She wore a strapless black bra with a white detail in the middle and a high-waisted black skirt. Her blonde hair was shoulder length and curly with volume. She adjusted her poses, raising her hands towards her face. After the final shots were taken, Delta took attention to the GZWA cameraman standing in front of her. She was told she was to begin a promotional video for the Pay-Per View to give words about her upcoming matches. Delta looked into the camera, grinning with her hands on her hips waiting for the tiny microphone to be attached to her strapless bra from a camera-crew guy.
“Careful, I don’t want too much boobage action happening” Delta joked, making sure the guy wasn’t getting too comfortable around her chest.
The guy nervously laughed, attaching the microphone and getting away from camera view, making Delta the sole focus in the frame.
“Devil’s May Cry is vastly approaching and I’m stuck in a big pedictimate - I’ll be wrestling in more than one match. Foremost, I’m competing in the semifinals for the Queen of Queens tournament, to see if I can advance onto the finals in the same night. But that’s not the only thing on my plate, I choose to face my former tag team partner, my blood, my sister… Endee Leights in an unsanctioned match. You would be thinking why I got myself into this situation and that I’m just crazy to even go through this. All I can say is that, I’m willing to take on the challenge. Is it possible for me to go through, two or three matches and winning? Maybe, maybe not. It’s a chance I’m going to take. Never say never!"
Delta didn’t want the uncertainty to get to her, so she wanted to prove that she was sticking to her guns about going through the matches. Delta paused for a moment, looking down to quickly decide on what she would first talk about.
“Why am I facing my sister, Endee Leights? She was the one who ended the Ladies of Doom, leaving GZWA at the beginning of the year to return to a company called Total Wrestling Entertainment. I respected her decision to end her tenure in GZWA, there was no hard feelings. I’m extremely happy being a singles wrestler, the split benefited us. She became a champion, and I’m this close on winning the Queen of Queens tournament. But something along the way happened, apparently some girl in TWE is running around claiming she is our half-sister, crazy right?”
Delta rolled her eyes, still showing resentment towards that illegitimate child of her birth mother.
“Endee tries - keyword ‘tries’ to help that poor child who I know is taking advantage of her. I said some things, attempting to forewarn Endee about this girl. I hold my family dearly and I’m not the type to welcome anyone with open arms, especially if it’s from a mother who abandoned her own kids. Sue me, I’m a protective of my family.” Delta nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders.
“I made an appearance at a TWE show to help Endee keep her title in a ladder match, which ironically, the street-rat steals the championship off her anyway. Then how does Endee repay me for my help? By relentlessly hitting me with her finisher. I know Endee has a lot pent up anger, and I want her to let all the aggression out. So we mutually agreed to settle our differences in GZWA since our roots begun here. I’m looking forward getting into the ring with my sister and may the better sister win.”
Delta nodded, giving a determined stare into the camera. Delta paused, laughing to herself now thinking about her other match.
“Now this brings me to the Queen of Queens tournament. I already figure that the three other girls are basking over the fact that I’m the only one who has more on their plate. Most likely my semi-finals opponent, Alice Shadow is expecting an easy fight, since technically I would be physically and mentally exhausted from my match with my sister. But, it really comes down to my willpower - Do I want to become Queen of Queens? Of course I do, I mean… I didn’t buy a crown for no reason.”
Delta tilted her head, with a smirk referencing the last promo she made.
“Let’s look at the three other girls who have survived the tournament. Natasha Rose, Joanna Tazanna and Alice Shadow. Natasha is a strong contender, without a doubt, I know she backs it up every time she gets into that ring. Joanana, yeah, she’s the wildcard… No pun intended.” Delta winks into the camera. “And Alice Shadow, she’s a strange one.”
Delta raised up her index finger to tap her chin to contemplate the three women in the tournament.
“My semi-finals opponent Alice Shadow does remind me of someone, I just can’t put my finger on it…. Maybe, AJ Lee? I don’t know. Or maybe it was that friend AJ Lee abruptly left GZWA with, I can’t remember the name. Piper, no, Prue… Phoebe?” Delta coyly spoke, knowingly she was playing dumb.
“Let me get back on track, Alice, I am familiar with you. I should know since you’re the one who made Amiee Vaughan run for the hills, congratulations, that’s an incredible feat. But one things for sure, you won’t be making me run for the hills. You did have the beginners advantage, winning that showcase battle royal, but that was the beginning. No matter how much strength I will have in this match, I’m determined to come out on top and advance in the tournament and become queen of queens in the end.” And, this is where I give my final argument on why I, Delta Madison should win this tournament. Well, for starters, are the three other girls prepared to be the full-front of GZWA? Joanna and Alice are just babies here in GZWA, Natasha? Probably, but she is technically an outsider who decided to join this tournament. The question is, will Natasha remain in the company after the tournament is over. I’ve been in GZWA well over a year, and that’s something, coming from me.”
Delta beamed, playing innocent referencing her past experiences in other companies. Delta dropped her face, now back to a serious psyche.
“In all seriousness, of course I’m nervous going into Devils May Cry. This event will go down as one of the biggest nights of my career. Losing isn’t an option for me, therefore I will put in the hard yards to come out the decisive winner in my matches.
“In the end of it all, I want to say Delta Madison - Dama Divina el reina de reinas¡”
Delta ended her promo taking a determined breath as she moved away from the camera that stopped filming her moments after.
