Venue: Colonial Life Center
Location: Columbia, SC
Xplosion opens at the sight of several members of the Machine airing their grievances to the GZWA Chairman while his wife and acting Vice President of Talent Relations, Brooklyn Glamorous listened to each and every one of these “concerns”.
Veda Scott: “Mr. Zeros, I hate to step out of line but it seems that we are doing nothing about these repeat offenders that continuously step out of line and dare to challenge us time and time again. When are we going to silence these insurgents once and for all?”
Victor Phillips chimes in, “I understand that we got a regime going on around here but it’s starting to get ridiculous around here, boss. We can stomp on the small fry here and there, but we need to do something drastic to put these fools back into their seats where they belong.”
Brooklyn Glam: “I hope you’re not all assuming that we sit here and do nothing while you’re out fighting the good fight for our cause.”
Victor: “I’m sorry but exactly what have you done outside of keep Xion’s bed warm?”
Xion smirks while Veda Scott cautiously steps back as the Statement clearly doesn’t know who he is talking to.
Brooklyn slides down from sitting on the edge of the GZWA Chairman’s desk and stood eye to eye in front of Victor’s face with a look that would scare most men, women, and small children.
Brooklyn surprises everyone by uncharacteristically bursting out into laughter. Everyone in the room looks confused until Brooklyn speaks.
“I’ve done a lot more than what your girlfriend has done to secure her spot into this company - let alone a lot more than she did to win the Vixen Championship. Mr. Phillips, allow me to ask you the same question. What have YOU done in this company to deserve a spot in the Machine? As far as I’m concerned, the only thing you have done is act as a waste of space on this roster, trying to hang onto the small bit of credibility of your past accolades in ANOTHER company when you haven’t done anything of merit here.”
Just as the Statement was about to retort, Victor’s phone goes off in his coat pocket to his dismay. Brooklyn quickly snatches it and looks at the caller. She smiles with devilish glee as the caller ID reads “Raven” on screen.
Brooklyn quickly answers it for him, uttering the words, “Bye bitch” before hanging up before the Ultimate Vixen could even utter a word in response.
Victor looks like he’s seen a ghost as Brooklyn tosses the phone into the nearby fireplace.
Xion Zeros finally speaks up, “I don’t agree with Brooklyn’s methods but she has a point. When we were still in ZXWWF, I sent you to VWA to find yourself and hone your own competitive edge at a time where the roster thought going back to our developmental territory was an insult. I sent you there because I believed that you had what it takes to become a star. You took the ball and ran with it, grabbing several brass rings along the way because of that motivation. Fast forward to present day, I invited you into this group because every member of this group I see as pivotal pieces of fulfilling my dream. With you, it’s no different, just don’t allow your lady ruin a good thing you got going.”
Victor: I get that, but we’re getting nowhere fast. How can any of us grab the brass ring if we aren’t given the opportunity? You can’t go fishing without anything on the line.
Veda Scott: I’m inclined to agree with him, Mr. Zeros.
As the GZWA Chairman is left to ponder on their words, the double doors of the GZWA Chairman’s office are kicked open by an irate Superstar. Everyone spun around to watch an angry Hardcore Monster walking up to face Xion Zeros.
Veda Scott: If this is about what The Undertaker and Jimmy Jacobs did to you on Primetime, join the club. We’re all a little pissed about these ‘setbacks’ lately.
Carnage: "It’s not just that. Where do these fucking clowns get off thinking campaigning around that they deserve a shot at MY title!!?? The title that I have beaten every challenge that stood in my way to obtain.”
The GZWA Chairman tents his fingers as he sat behind his desk.
“Maybe we should give them all what they want. Carnage obviously wants blood and to prove that there isn’t a man nor woman alive in this company who can stop him. The Machine needs a show of force, so why not we enter our champion into the Riot Match and put the title on the line. Every Superstar and Vixen that enters that match are welcome to try their hand - a rather suicidal one at that - at besting the reigning and defending champion.”
Carnage slams his hands on the desk, “Is this supposed to be some sick joke? Are you trying to replace me like you did with Romero?”
The Enforcers surround the GZWA Chairman’s desk between Carnage.
G-Money Briggs: “You might want to slow your role, big homie.”
Dequan Wallace: “Yo, Carnage, that ain’t a good look trying to step against the boss.”
Xion Zeros ushers them away. “Stand down, boys. That won’t be necessary. Carnage isn’t going to throw away everything that we have built here together in this alliance.”
Xion shook his head, “Carnage, you’re our hottest commodity and the GZWA World Heavyweight Championship is our greatest asset. Veda and Victor have said it themselves before you stormed in. The Machine needs to shake things up around GZWA. Let’s see how strong all of these partnerships and alliances are when it’s one against all going for the greatest prize that GZWA has to offer. Don't see this as punishment. Instead, I am rewarding you with the ultimate challenge for a man of your unique talents.”
He looks around the entire room.
“I’m leaving the ball in your court for this match. Either stand united or seek your own personal glory in this match. As long as the title remains with the Machine, I could care less about the end result. That’s how much faith I have in all of you.”
Carnage looks around the room at his fellow members of the Machine, “We’re all cogs in the same machine, huh? I welcome this challenge but I issue the warning to each and every one of you - if you stand in my way, I’m going through you without mercy nor empathy for whatever harm I WILL do to you. The World Heavyweight Championship is MY title and I plan on walking out of the match STILL the champion, no matter how many people I have to send home in body bags or wheeled out on stretchers.”
Veda Scott tries to ease the tension in the room, “Don’t be like that, Carnage. As always, we’re here to support you - as needed. No one more than the Machine knows how lethal you are. Why would any of us stand in your way?”
Victor speaks up, “Speak for yourself, Veda. No disrespect, homie, but if I see a chance to win the gold out there, then I’m taking it - no matter what I gotta do or who I gotta go through to get it.”
Carnage walks over and towers over the Statement. Carnage smirks, “The newbie has balls. I like that. Maybe there’s hope for you yet. We were all worried that you were on a short leash by your girlfriend - much like the last guy that had your position in this group.
As for the Riot Match, you are more than welcome to try. That goes for ANY of you. Male or female, I’m going to hurt a lot people and end a lot of championship dreams at Riot Control.”
Veda: “You’re giving me nightmares at the thought of getting in the ring with you, PERIOD.”
Brooklyn laughs, “You’re better off sitting this one out, hun.”
Milani paces back and forth in the abandoned hallway of Corridor E as Naomi and Tamina look on with worried expressions. It wasn't like this was Milani's first ever match..... she'd had five in another wrestling company but they understood that the familiarity of her opponent was what is throwing her off balance and stopping her from focusing. Milani clenches her fists in anger as Naomi begins bouncing in place from foot to foot, trying to rile herself up, even though she'd be playing the out fielder of this match... meaning she was only there to ward off any interference in case someone wanted to try to get involved and ruin Milani's match. Tamina just stands there, taking in the scene with her arms folded but her narrowed eyes let them know that she was ready for war. Milani bends down to stretch out her left leg as Naomi tries to coach her into concentrating, wanting to fire up her friend for her upcoming match.
Naomi: “Girl.... like what is you trippin' on? This is NOT your first time in the ring, just think of this as finally having a challenge on your hands and proving to yourself that she is nothing but another opponent who you're going to BEAT some respect into cause... girl? The stuff she was saying on twitter??”
Naomi pauses to look over at Tamina who shares a glance with Naomi before looking over Milani with a nod of her head.
Naomi: “See? Even Mina agrees. That Santana chick was BRUTAL. Girl the way she was verbally dragging you on twitter? I had to come over the next day and see if you had your EDGES after all of that! But at the end of the day.... thats just words... and you NEED to make her eat them. SHOW her that your bite is WAAAAY tougher than yo bark. Let her know that she may be the twitter champ with the burns but that you're the champ in the ring with those hands of yours.”
Milani nods her head while stretching out her other leg, Naomi's words proving to do the trick in lighting a fire in her that she was ready to unleash on Santana as she begins to stand up straight and crack her knuckles.
Satisfied with his answer, Phoenix stands to her feet while casting a last glance in the mirror to brush down the front of her light blue True Religion jeans as she turns to adjust Alessandro's shirt.
Milani Chilombo: “You right.... all that tough talk on twitter with the threats and the pwns... she can have that. Cause she must have forgot what i can do with these hands... which is shut her mouth once and for all. And if any of her girls wanna get involved in this beef? They can get balled up and laid out too, ion discriminate. Cause tonight? Everyone is about to witness a new threat in this company. Cause.... WHO bad??”
Milani says with a grin, sticking out her fist for a smiling Tamina to bump it while Naomi laughs with a nod of her head, hitting Milani's fist last.
Naomi: “WE bad.”

Serai Leone and Amanda Cortez agree on the terms of their match for Riot Control
It becomes dark in the arena and the song "Feuer frei" by Rammstein is played. Then Amanda comes to the stage, dressed in a short black dress and some really high heeled over knee boots. The fans are cheering at her and even though she's not very happy about what awaits her tonight as she confronts Serai Leone again, she still waves at the fans and blows kisses at them. Slowly she walks down to the ring and climbed inside. She then took a microphone from Zoey Valentine and spoke to the masses.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for your warm welcome."
For a moment she pauses, thinking about where to begin before continuing
"Well, I have had better days, but I can't change it. You all know why I’m here now. I'm here because there's a person who took away from me what I love most, my step-daughter Kiara. And as you all know, I will do anything to protect my family. I'm here to see what this person wants, so that I get Kiara back. I know it won't be nice and it'll end up in some kinda match I really don't like, but I can't change it and I'll accept anything."
She lowers the micro and looks into the crowd, waiting for what comes next,
Suddenly the sound equipment is overtaken by a mash up of Static X’s ‘Cold’ and Jonathan Davis’ ‘Careless’.
“We kiss. The Stars. We writhe. We are.”
Just as they did before the arena lights fade until nothing remains, but darkness and shadows. Dancing lights reflect from the entry way as six druids carrying torches walk out onto the ramp.
“You're angry with the beating of my careless selfish heart. You're chasing me cause I'm too close scared of what I can start.”
They line up three on each side of the ramp and raise their torches high to form an archway. A hearse slowly pulls out onto the ramp and stalls for a moment before traveling down the ramp as the arena lights slowly brighten back to their original shine.
“Cold! We’re so cold! We are so cold! We’re so cold!”
The last ride of the deceased comes to a halt at ringside and the druids extinguish their light sources and follow the same path before opening the back doors of the hearse and pulling out a coffin.
“COLD! We’re so COLD! We are so COLD! We’re so Cold!”
The druids slowly lift the lid to the casket and reveal the occupant to be none other than Serai Leone, herself. The Camera zooms in on her beautiful, peaceful appearing face. Suddenly those emerald orbs open with a flash of lightning and she sits up. The music fades away and the druids disappear into the smoke the lightning bolt has left behind.
Amanda isn't really scared, but the whole thing makes her still a bit nervous. She shies a bit back, but still looks curious and nervously at the casket and awaits what will happen next.
"OK ...come out of this thing and let's bring this here to an end ...."
For a moment she glares into the direction of the casket and she's full of hate. If this person didn't hold her step-daughter captive she would have loved to attack, but so she can only wait for what comes next. In the back of her mind, Amanda wishes she had a gun to wipe this evil away from the face of the earth.
"...to your end ..."
Serai stares at the grief stricken mother with a gleeful smirk on her face. Her laughter chilling and ominous.
"What's the matter, Amanda? Not happy to see me? What a shame. You've been calling for me for days now. 'Show yourself', you said. 'Come out here', you said. Now I'm here and this is the greeting I get? You're not a very good hostess, are you?"
Serai's smile is eerie enough to turn your blood cold as her emeralds bore a hole into Amanda. Never once moving her gaze from the self proclaimed Goddess.
"Not really ....I'd prefer to see you dead in your damn casket."
For a moment she clenches her fists and stares at Serai.
"I think it doesn't interest you much what I want, so just tell me what you have in mind now. I already said that I accept all your conditions, so tell me what it is ..."
Once again the thought of the gun comes into her mind, but she wipes it away from her thoughts as at the moment it wouldn't do much good to resolve this conflict.
"But you had your chance to put me away. Not my fault you choked."
"That's true ...and it's sad that it didn't work, but this time I'll have more success and this I can promise without a shadow of a doubt."
Amanda steps forward a bit closer.
"Stop these childish games and tell me what you want. I'm sick of it all."
"Three. Stages. Of. Hell."
Fire erupts from the ring posts at the mention of the word hell. Serai stares directly into Amanda's eyes.
"You have no one to blame for this but yourself. I really don't give a damn about how you feel. You set these events into motion. YOU brought retribution onto your family. Onto your son. Onto your daughter. Not sounding too much like a doting wife and mother to me."
Amanda growls. She clenches her fists and almost jumps at Serai, but she holds back.
"Fuck ...that's not true. I didn't do anything. You were the one who terrorized me all the time and now you even kidnapped Kiara. So tell me why this should be my fault."
But she doesn't wait till Serai answers.
"We had this discussion before. I accept your challenge, but when it's over you let Kiara go and then you disappear outa my life."
"Disappearing is more your strong suit. After all, you were the one who poofed from your son's life for nearly two decades.
Let me ask you. Was she worth it? Was the pussy that addictive to drive you to give up your son? To doom him to a life in the system? Inquiring minds would love to know."
"Shit ...it's not fair to start this again. It was a mistake and I know it and feel bad for it, but I can't change it and now I'm here. And now I'll fight ..."
Full of hate she glares at Serai.
"And I think that shouldn't be your problem, it's mine and I'll have to live with my mistakes."
"You hurt someone very close to me. That makes it MY PROBLEM. The fact remains that you should have been there regardless of your decision to stay married or be free. Your son shouldn't have had to suffer for your selfishness and lust. That was a choice you thrust upon him."
For a moment Amanda is silence.
"True ...I didn't have the right, but this still doesn't give you the right to hurt Kiara. She has nothing to do with all this crap. Hurt me all you want ...but keep her away from this drama. Oh ...and if you forgot ....Jacobi forgave me ..."
"But did the woman whose heart you caused him to break forgive you? Did his siblings who had to console their shattered mother forgive you? Did Storming Raven forgive you for changing him?"
"Probably not ...I tried ..."
Amanda swallows hard and now some tears run down her cheeks.
"I would have loved to undo every single one of my mistakes. I wanted to talk to this woman, but she didn't want to see me ...That's not my fault ...I tried it again and again … You don’t think that these mistakes always have haunted me?"
Now she thinks of her ex-husband and she continues with tears in her eyes.
"And with Storming Raven I can't sadly reach anymore ...I wish I could ...."
She wipes away her tears.
"Let's end this. Hurt me if you want, but leave Kiara alone ..."
"Could you blame her? You were after all the reason why the man she loved wasn't faithful to her. Everything you did to him, he did to a hundredfold. Except she was abandoned not only by Stormy but by Jacobi too. You really know how to leave a lasting impression, don't you?"
"Sadly that's true ...I don't know why everything goes wrong no matter what I do."
For a moment she is quiet and swallows hard to the bitter truth. In some way Serai is right and she knows it.
"But it doesn't bring us anything to talk about all this. It happened and none of us can undo it. So I think we should look forward and ...not destroy more lives."
Serai tilts her head curiously.
"Why try to deny what you are? You are a destructive force. As am I. Only difference between us is that I've learned to accept what I am now."
"I'm not destructive ...I'm nice, at least I try to be ..."
Amanda clenches her fists.
"Let's just try to bring this here to an end. We're merely going around in circles. You got what you want, so let Kiara go. And if you should win, then you can do to me whatever you want, I don't care anymore."
"I can live with that.."
"Ok, then this is settled ..."
A last time Amanda glares at Serai, then she drops the microphone and turns away. She feels a bit uncomfortable with her enemy behind her, but she doesn't turn back and exits the ring.
Alessandro Quagliaterre: “Babe.... are you sure about this?”
Alessandro asks his wife while watching as she touches up her make up in the vanity mirror, placing his hands on her shoulders. Phoenix re-caps her lipstick to place in her make up bag as she stares at him through the mirror.
Phoenix Quagliaterre: “Of course I'm sure.... you know as well as i do that you do NOT turn your back on the Family. Whether it's the Quagliaterre Mafia or the SDS Famiglia, any form of betrayal to any family results in.... severe consequences. I have put Milani through countless training to prepare for this match.”
Alessandro Quagliaterre: “So... she can feel better about herself if she wins?”
Phoenix Quagliaterre: “Of course not. So she has no excuses that she wasn't prepared for this match when she loses. I am going to take great satisfaction in watching Santana destroy her. Unless.... you have a problem with this?”
Alessandro Quagliaterre: “No... not at all. Anything my wife wants, she gets. I've waited so long for you.... for us to put everything in the past and emerge together stronger than ever. Whatever you want... you'll receive.”
Satisfied with his answer, Phoenix stands to her feet while casting a last glance in the mirror to brush down the front of her light blue True Religion jeans as she turns to adjust Alessandro's shirt.
Phoenix Quagliaterre: “And remember... keep a close eye backstage to make sure nobody tries to make their way out to the ring to get involved. I mean, we can't have any of my plans thwarted, can we? Then if you behave, we'll go to Italy for the next few days like you want.”
Alessandro Quagliaterre: “I love when a plan comes together.”
Alessandro says with a smile, slipping his arm around his wife's waist to lead her out of the locker room and into the hallway.
** Singles Match **
Milani Chilombo (debut) vs. Santana Ortiz (debut)
Milani and Santana are already in the ring, going at it as Santana’s team, Shanghai, consisting of Selinas and Chola cheer her on from the left side while Naomi and Tamina represent Team Baddie while cheering on Milani from the right. Phoenix and the rest of the Triad, consisting of Siren and Nikki Brasi, watch the match closely as they biased-ly hope that Santana makes them proud by getting the job done tonight. Milani is dominating, working on Santana’s leg as she constantly kicks at it as Santana howls in pain on the mat, rolling around and holding her leg. Milani is relentless though and ends up dropping on the mat to ankle lock Santana, applying pressure to the pain. Santana yells even louder as Milani yells for her to tap out but Santana refuses to. Santana ends up rolling to her back and kicking Milani in the face, causing the vixen to fall back onto the mat. As Milani holds her face, Santana slowly rises to her feet as she glares angrily at Milani, beckoning for her to get to her feet. Santana drives her foot into Milani’s back as soon as she raises up to her hands and knees, causing Milani to fall back down to the mat.
A few moments later. Milani has Santana in the corner, continually delivering punches and kicks as she tried to desperately tire out the fired up Santana. She’s able to get the upper hand for all of 50 seconds but fails to diminish the much more powerful Santana and her fired up energy as Santana ends up blocking Milani’s punch and sending one of her own aimed at her face! Milani stumbles backwards and Santana shoots up, sprinting towards Milani as she dropkicks her right in the abdomen.
Milani falls to the mat but Santana makes sure to alert her arch nemesis that she is far from done as she wraps her right arm around Milani’s neck and grips a strong head lock on her, locking it in tight. Milani is screaming out as the audience pipes up with a reaction of mixed jeers and cheers, not fully sure on which vixen to boo and which vixen to cheer for! Milani’s hand was up high as it fluttered down towards the mat but sailed high back up in the air before it touched the mat as the ref watched closely, seeing if Milani would tap.
Santana’s cheeks flushed up with rage as Milani held her ground, making sure to fight the urge to tap. Her hand fluttered down but again rose up quickly before it hit the mat. The audience was going crazy, debating on if Milani would hold off any longer in this match or would it be the end......
Suddenly, twisting and turning, Milani gets the adrenaline to fight off Santana. Pissed off, Santana rises to her feet and charges at Milani, spearing her to the mat as she begins raining down furious blows onto her arch nemesis’ face. Milani tries to block her face from the attack but Santana slaps her hands away to drill her fists even more into her face. Naomi and Tamina want to get involved and a few moments pass before Naomi finally has had enough and begins climbing onto the turnbuckle when Chola and Selinas charge them out of nowhere, seeming to have a feeling that Team Baddie would try to come to Milani’s aid.
As the two teams clash outside, Phoenix steps closer to the ring as she watches with pure amusement at the ongoing assault in the ring. Santana pulls a dizzy Milani to her feet as she lets out a loud yell into the air, cuing that the Six Point San was coming full blast. Drilling Milani with her left fist, she then catches her in the cheek with her right before alternating back to letting her left do the talking for her. A sharp right hook, then a left then finally….. the final punch. Santana pauses as she stares at Milani, her right fist drawn in the air and ready for the final blow as Milani drops to her knees, her head drifting off to the side from the dizziness.
”FINISH HER!!”
Phoenix yells out from the outside of the ring as Santana looks down at Milani and looks her deep in the eyes with a mischievous grin and a sinister glare.
”It’s gotta end.... wit you lookin’ like a BITCH”
Santana taunts before suddenly knocking Milani out with her right fist, watching as Milani’s body hits the mat and lays motionless while the ref’s eyes seem to widen.
After the referee ends the match by technical knockout, Santana grins triumphantly, glancing over at Phoenix who applauds her proudly along with the rest of the Triad outside of the ring for getting the job done.
Words from Superstars & Vixens looking to make a name for themselves in the Riot Match at Riot Control
The scene opens to Daniel Widdel sitting in front of a backdrop and looking into a camera. He wore a designer suit and tie with a clean shaven face. He was complacent before he started to speak.
“Becoming THE face of GZWA is something I take very seriously. Since returning here I’ve noticed the lack of star power of the guys here. The men aren’t even trying anymore, especially how the women have already eclipsed them talent wise - not like there’s anything wrong with that! When I see Riot Control, I see it as the opportunity for me to make a stand and break the barriers in GZWA. I want people to look forward to see the Heavyweight champion and CARE what they will do. GZWA needs a company man to bring this company to the next level. This is where I come in. Just look at me! I have the looks, talent and charisma to fit that bill.”
“I’m not going to let any chance slip, even if I’m competing for the Television Championship here tonight at Xplosion. An opportunity is an opportunity and I’m going to grab that brass ring and bring home what belongs to me. Either if it’s the Television Championship or the Heavyweight Championship, I’m going to become a champion either way. Holding the double gold? Well that wouldn’t be out of the question either. I strive on becoming the best and if winning both titles will capitulate me to such greatness, then I’ll be on my way to do that very thing.”
“I don’t care if it’s some guy who wears a hoodie, walking through the streets claiming he was the first one to suggest such a thing. Seriously, would you rather want a guy who threatens to kill someone and ruin the lives of a family man to be commended as a champion? Mr. Drake, if that is your real name… You have SO much to learn young jedi. Being the best isn’t about threatening to murder someone to get what you want. This is about proving you’re a worthy candidate to carry a company on their shoulders. I doubt you can even do that Ry Drake. And if you want to threaten my wife, well boy, you have another thing to learn. My wife would be the one murdering you instead if she had the chance. Do you know who the hell she is? You must be new in GZWA, mate.”
Daniel grinned, rubbing his chin at his in-joke. In his mind, he found this Ry Drake character laughable, but still wanted to give that guy a chance before he properly written him off. He just hopped he took his words under consideration and fixed his blueprint in GZWA.
“Come Riot Control, I can guarantee that a change is coming to GZWA and I’ll be the the catalyst of it.”
Daniel looked into the camera with determination to show he was passionate about everything he has just said. The scene then faded.
Final Statements from the four women (
The scene opened up with Delta Madison in front of a black backdropp. She wore a red cardigan over a white singlet, her shoulder length blonde hair wavy and flowy. Delta’s eyes wondered as she was in deep thought about her final words before going into Riot Control.
“This match is a long time coming. Everything I worked for in 2015 accumulates to this very match at Riot Control. It’s hard to believe I almost had this slip from my fingers, but here I am hanging by a thread. I’ve heard all those empty threats, all the commotion and drama over this whole match. Raven, Beth and Mariah have pleaded their cases and why their are the best Vixen in GZWA and it does question where do I stand in all of this.”
“Of course I want to be the best, to be on top of that mountain holding that Vixen’s championship that Mariah has held with such dignity over the past few months. We all have our own agendas on who should be walking out the champion at Riot Control. So why should I walk out of Riot Control with that Vixen’s Championship?”
“Let’s see. I’ve been one of the hardest working women in GZWA over the past few years. I worked as a tag team, I conquered the Queen of Queens Tournament and liberated myself from a what would’ve been a catastrophic situation with a man I’d rather not name. It was a long arduous road for me and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”
“Beth may claim that she would’ve easily have taken my crown, but it’s really is a shoulda coulda woulda. I’m the Queen of Queens and there’s absolutely nothing that can change that. I didn’t win this tournament to parade around in a crown. I worked hard to earn my win as tournament winner and I won’t allow one person to make me think and differently. I’ve always had people buzz in my ear that I didn’t deserve what I earned, but what do they know? I’d rather kill them with success and bury them with a smile.”
Delta paused for a moment to smile widely to show her lack of concern about her naysayers. Delta then continued speaking.
“Raven and Mariah have their deep rooted problems with each other, and it’s a long time coming for them to go at it again. It’s something I could see as an advantageous situation, but I can’t forget that Beth is on the prowl. She swept in and took Ambers and Morgan’s initial spots in this title match. Beth did defeat me in singles competition, I must admit that. This is where I have to take that and learn from that mistake to knock her down a peg or two and ‘humble’ her.”
Delta laughed to herself, imagining ways to humble the Glamazon. Delta pressed her hand close to her heart to make her last statement.
“I’m going to walk into Riot Control as a challenger and I’m determined to walk out as the Vixen’s Champion. Ladies, there are no friends in this, only foes. May the best woman walk out with that championship hoisted high above their head.
Delta rose up her arm, pretending she was holding up the Vixen’s Championship before the scene faded.
The Vixen Championship is shown onscreen as the camera slowly pans up to show Mariah proudly bearing the title around her waist.
“Over the last few months, GZWA Management - namely Commissioner Serena Dent took it under her own power to offer the quarrelling women of GZWA an unique opportunity to prove themselves worthy of being the next #1 contender for this title. The very same title that Mei Long held for over a year, the same title that Raven used as an excuse to reign over this division as a despot, and to make a long story short, it was the very same title that so many women have put their bodies on the line to win and hold on multiple occasions.
Over the course of that contest that Serena Dent cooked up, several women took that opportunity as their moment to shine while others squandered and allowed the opportunity that they craved so much slip through their fingers. I hate to be the one that say I told you so, but you can’t blame anyone in this business for your shortcomings other than yourself. After it was all said and done, we were left with Delta Madison, Beth Phoenix, and Raven announced as the challengers that I will face at Riot Control.
Throughout this time, I have been putting this title on the line in open challenges at every Primetime event that would allow it. I’m not afraid of losing this title. I’m afraid of this division - this women’s wrestling division that played a part in laying the foundation for - losing it’s edge. I’m afraid of this division losing it’s spark and drive to be the best women in this sport today.
What I’m afraid of is all of the women in this company becoming complacent and settling - not trying to be the best athletes that they can be, not trying to push themselves above and beyond their limitations, not trying to be trendsetters and role models to future generations of women in this sport. I’m afraid of this title being held by someone who is more focused on being a drama queen or a ratchet reality TV star instead of respectable athlete.
Ladies, we can have the best of both worlds, no problem. But there’s a way to do it without devaluing yourselves and the sport that you represent.
At Riot Control, it will be no different. Four women step into the ring fighting for the best prize of our division. I face a challenge that has me defending my title for the first time against multiple opponents at once - four women who are no strangers to holding championships in previous organizations and no strangers to success.
Beth Phoenix and Raven are both former Women’s/Vixen Champions in their own right and Delta Madison is the first woman to win the Queen of the Queens Tournament, acting as the official holder of the tournament’s championship until the tournament is held later this year.
I’m not going retread the same ground that we traversed on Primetime. We all put everything on the line. Beth Phoenix made her statement that she vows to bring back the Women’s Championship to this division. I don’t have a problem with that in the least. This isn’t her first rodeo - she was a former champion in this company and never had the opportunity to regain what she lost.
Delta Madison is on the warpath. 2015 was her year. She was part of the Ladies of Doom when they made their mark in history in what many will remember as the best tag team match in this company’s history along with the MisFits and Extreme Juggalos. Their team broke up shortly afterwards when tag team gold eluded them, but she found success in the Queen of the Queens Tournament as I mentioned before. In her eyes, she’s one win away from being the true “queen” of this division. In the spirit of competition, I don’t have a problem with that. I actually respect her and Beth Phoenix for their noble goals for this title match.
What I don’t respect? Raven’s silence. Normally she’s the first one to pop off at the mouth about how holier than though she is above and beyond her competition. After she lost this title, she became a shadow of her former self. Not that there was much there to begin with. Y’know the woman who despises the fact that I had a hand in her training. I firmly believe that she’s realized the grim reality that she has accepted that I’m better than her.
Think about it. She was silent before our match when she was champion and now she’s silent yet again. Behind the discount clearance section weave found at the gas station, the Lee Press On Nails, and ratchet attitude, Raven knows deep down in the bottom of her heart that she’s the one who knows she can’t beat me. I’m the roadblock that will always be in the way of her regaining her reign of terror over this division. As long as there is breath left in my body, I won’t ever stop fighting against women like her who only want to hinder this sport that we all love.
2015 was a rocky road for me. I had my ups and downs, but I firmly believe that 2016 is the year that I help pave the way of change here in GZWA. Starting at Riot Control, I will lead the way as a reminder that GZWA has the best women in wrestling. I’m going to bring out the best out of my opponents who want to take this title from me, even if it kills me.
Come and get it, ladies.”
She pats the title once more before the scene faded to black.
Debut of SM Raye's Controversial Corner
The GZWA arena is buzzing so much that the static in the air could be cut with a knife. The arena lights flicker before cutting out completely. The fans and announcers alike shocked by the sudden abysmal blackness that surrounds them. The tron screams to life with images of crows, tombstones, and metal gates. The gates slowly open as a motorcycle enters without a ride, slowly working itself towards a headstone. As the engine softly hums as if singing a call to arms a hand suddenly shoots out from under the earth. Lightning flashes and illuminates the tombstone and reveals the carving of the stone while the hand casts an eerie shadow upon the marble. 'Here Lies' is all that can be read in the flashes.
"There ain't no grave... Can hold my body down. There ain't no grave... Can Hold my body down... When I hear that trumpet sound. I'm gonna rise right out of the ground. There ain't no grave.. Can hold my body down."
The restless soul pulls themselves out of their earthen prison, but there face is covered by shadow from a hood as the lightning flashes reflect from their leather jacket. The spirit straddles their steed and rides out of graveyard.
"It's been so long.. Long hard days. They don't say God's changed my ways. Change my ways.. My evil ways. So I set out.. Across that way.. To strike them down. To make them pay. Change their ways.. Their evil ways..."
The arena suddenly is filled with the sounds of a phantom motorcycle revving it's engine. As the same bike a rider slowly make their appearance on the entrance ramp.
"Ain't no grave... Can hold my body down. There ain't no grave.. Can hold my body down. There ain't no grave.. Can.. HIDE MY EVIL WAYS!"
The rider slowly makes his descent down the ramp and circles the ring. After doing a complete lap he parks his bike and steps off it. He turns towards the squared circle and slides into the ring. The specter sits cross legged in the middle of the ring and pulls a microphone from his pocket. He slowly lifts the microphone to his lips, but does not say a word. Suddenly with his left hand he yanks the hood from his head as the tron shows the headstone again. "Here Lies SM RAYE". Raye raises the microphone to his lips again.
SM Raye: At this time I want to welcome everyone to GZWA’s first ever… Controversial Corner. I am proud to be here and as well I am happy to bring MY creation here to GZWA. Now anyone who knows me knows I am NOT one for wasting time so... At this time I would like to bring out my guest Serai Leone.
As the words leave his lips the sound equipment is overtaken by a mash up of Static X’s ‘Cold’ and Jonathan Davis’ ‘Careless’.
“We kiss. The Stars. We writhe.
SM Raye: Hola Hermana.
The host slowly raises, walks towards the ropes, sits on the middle rope, and raises the top to welcome his female counterpart. Serai steps into the ring and turns to her brother-in-law with a smirk.
Serai Leone: Hola Hermano. I must say it's an unexpected honor to be chosen as your first guest. Thank you for having me.
Raye nods and motions to the only chair in the ring.
SM Raye: Please have a seat Serai.
As he finishes the request he sits down and cross his own legs under him. Ms. Leone follows his example and has a seat in the chair.
SM Raye: You know I’ve been asked several questions before I came out here tonight. All of which were about you.
Serai’s soft seductive laughter rings out as she tilts her head. Her bright emerald orbs twinkling and glimmering in amusement.
Serai Leone: Why does that not surprise me, Hermano?
SM Raye: Shall we get started? I mean they only gave me so much time and I think we ate through most of that with our entrances.. And you just had to out do me on that didn’t you?
Raye chuckles with a venomous smirk curling his lips. Serai just shrugs innocently before returning the smirk with one of her own.
Serai Leone: Couldn't resist the opportunity. Haha.
Raye rolls his eyes.
SM Raye: Anyway… Let’s start from the beginning shall we? What did Serai Leone do before she decided to lace up the boots so to speak?
Serai just gives him a “seriously Hermano” look before she responds to his inquiry.
Serai Leone: Not that it is a big secret, I was in adult entertainment for about 7 years. I also did film, music and print work. Also was the media and arts director for World Wrestling Headquarters.
Raye nods as he listens to her words.
SM Raye: This I know, but the fact of the matter is there are fans her and even members of the roster who do NOT know this stuff so I’m trying to educate the possible uneducable, but please don’t stop on my account. Continue the before ring Rai.
Serai just nods with an incredulous look on her face.
Serai Leone: I was not always this woman. I used to be a happy child. Carefree and I was always smiling. Then one day it all ended. My tenth birthday. The day my life started a downward spiral. That day changed me forever.
Those baby blues lock on the look on her face for a moment before he raise the microphone to his lips to halt her progress.
SM Raye: It’s up to you how in depth you want to go on this chapter of your life. I know the details as well as anyone, but you are your own woman Rai.
Serai takes a deep breath before continuing on with her painful past.
Serai Leone: My father.. or I should say the man I grew up believing was my father..molested me. He'd beat me mercilessly then have his way with me repeatedly. He pimped me out to his friends and colleagues. It went on until the day he and my adoptive mother died.
Raye nods as the normal viper like smile fades from his lips with each word.
SM Raye: What do you bleating idiots think? Have you heard enough about her life prior to the ring or even prior to her decision to make the leap into ring work? Or do you sick f***s want to hear more?
The crowd boos as The One Man Militia swears at and belittles them.
SM Raye: You know what f*** y’all it is my air time.. I say we move on. Serai what made you decide that you wanted to become a professional wrestler?
Serai Leone: I've always wanted to become a wrestler ever since I was a young girl. I used to travel with my parents, uncle and aunt along with my cousins to the shows. I was in awe by the stories and the action I saw. One night in particular, I was watching my mom in action. She was so ruthless yet so beautiful, majestic. I knew at that moment that was my destiny to wrestle.
Raye nods.
SM Raye: Now again.. Me personally I know what you are capable of in this squared circle more than most. Now that we have touched on your life prior to the ring and what made you make that decision.. Let’s talk about your best memories from this industry… You good with that?
Serai nods.
SM Raye: What was your favorite feud or match early in your career?
Serai Leone: I have to say my favorite feud was with Isà. As painful as it was to go through with, we brought out the best in each other every day. Each match, each shoot, each promo only made the feud better and real.
Raye smiles as he thinks about the footage he has seen of those two’s epic encounters.
SM Raye: Would you say your favorite match early on was part of that feud?
Serai smiles warmly as she remembers those times long past.
Serai Leone: Our first gimmick match was on Valentine's Day at Love and War. It was our first time facing each other since we used to spar as kids together. She amazed me with her agility and skills.
SM Raye: Match type?
Serai Leone: It was a three stages of Hell match.
Raye nods and motions for more details.
Serai Leone: The first stage was Clockwork Orange House of Fun. The second was leather strap. The final stage was an inferno match. I'm woman enough to admit that she won the match. She was just that good.
Raye: She won ok, but how did the falls go?
Serai Leone: Isà captured the first fall after super kicking me through three sheets of glass. The second pinfall was mine after nearly choking her out with the strap. The final decision went to Isà as she set my back on fire.
Raye takes a moment to wet his lips.
SM Raye: Went through nearly all those experiences in my short run with EVPW. I’m sure you remember the SCW Death Match. I gotta admit that was within the top ten of most brutal matches I was ever a part of, but this is not about me. This about the Latina Sensation, the myth, the goddess that is Serai Leone. So I’ll ask this.. Was that also the most meaningful match you ever had? Is that the match you think of first when you get asked about your top match ever?
Serai shakes her head.
Serai Leone: The most meaningful match for me was our first and only Hellfire Highway match at Halloween Havoc.
SM Raye: For those who don’t know the match.. Could you explain it?
Serai Leone: Hellfire Highway was four platforms each higher than the one before it raised over fire significant of the inner circles of Hell. Only way to score the victory is by submission or pinfall in the highest platform.
Raye nods again.
SM Raye: And the results of said match?
Serai Leone: She won via submission.
SM Raye: What made that match the most meaningful to you?
Serai smiles thinking back to that night.
Serai Leone: It made me truly appreciate her not just as a family member, not just as a strong woman, but also as a competitor as well. We gave our all that night. We showcased our talents and we told a convincing emotional story while keeping all on the edges of their seats. We proved that women can be just as dangerous as men.
Raye nods.
SM Raye: I’ll give credit where it is due. You two paved the way for more and more violent and dangerous women to enter this industry. Which really what was needed. Now let's talk about some more recent events. You and Amanda Cortez have reignited the rivalry that started in Pride Pro Wrestling not too long ago. The last time you two met you made the woman not only submit, but pass out to one of your primary holds. Isn’t that correct?
Serai Leone: Don't forget the ambulance ride..
Raye nods again with a smirk.
SM Raye: How can I? She was lucky it wasn’t a straight trip to the morgue then.
Serai laughs.
Serai Leone: Strapped to a stretcher and being tickled nonstop. I am really sadistic, aren't I?
SM nods again.
SM Raye: Tickled? You call that tickling?
Serai Leone: I called it funny as Hell really.
Raye smirks wider.
SM Raye: That’s the Serai Leone I know. Now lemme ask you this… What are your plans for GZWA? You planning a championship challenge? What is next on the docket for Serai Leone?
Serai Leone: I'm not really sure yet. I may challenge for a championship or two. But for now, I was brought to GWZA to do a job. And I plan having my own brand of fun while I do it. Believe that.
SM lets a loud laugh exit his lips.
SM Raye: We were both brought in to do a job Serai. Your’s is already common knowledge.. Mine however.. Ain’t quite clear yet is it?
Raye Winks.
SM Raye: Do I believe you will do your job well? Yes… But that isn’t a question is it? But that said I think that is all the time we have for this installment.
Raye flips off the fans as the arena lights cut off again and as they come back on there is no sign of the duo who were just sitting in the middle of the squared circle. Even Raye’s bike is gone from ringside which leaves more questions than answers. What is Serai’s job to do in GZWA? For that matter what is Raye’s? All everyone can do is speculate and watch to find out.
*** Main Event: Fatal 4 Way Match for GZWA Television Championship ***
"The Architect" Chris Matthews (c) vs. "Psycho Menace" Ry Drake vs. Jaser Cruz vs. Daniel Widdel
Prof. X: Welcome to tonight’s main event, ladies and gentlemen. This is the first time that we have one of our coveted championships on the line here on Xplosion and it’s appropriate that the Television Championship be the first to have that prestigious honor. Reigning champion Chris Matthews will defend his title against Ry Drake, Jaser Cruz, and Daniel Widdel.
The Carter: This is sounding a lot like the situation that the Vixen Champion will face at Riot Control.
Francine: Let’s not forget about the rumor going around the locker room that Chris Matthews might be leaving GZWA after Riot Control. It’s going to be interesting to see if he’s going to be leaving the event as a double champion if he manages to retain the title here and somehow manages to win the Riot Match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The match starts with each competitor at each of the four corners of the ring staring down. After the opening bell all four men erupt into a brawl. Jaser Cruz and Ry Drake singled each other out while Daniel Widdel and Chris Matthews paired off to resume their bitter feud. Jaser dropkicks Ry Drake into the ropes while Chris Matthews simultaneously threw Daniel Widdel into the corner with a Turnbuckle Powerbomb. Ry Drake reeled back into the ropes and rebounded with a Rebound Clothesline (Dean Ambrose-style). Seeing it coming at the last second, Jaser Cruz leapfrogs over the incoming Psycho Menace, landing onto the nearby ropes and performed a Springboard Enzuigiri to knock Daniel Widdel over the top rope and down to the floor. Ry Drake didn’t stop with his attack as Chris Matthews ducks the incoming clothesline and suicide dives through the ropes and into the waking Daniel Widdel at ringside.
Francine: My god, what a stylish assault by these three men on Daniel Widdel. You’d think they are practicing for the upcoming Stardom Tag Team Classic tournament.
The Psycho Menace hits the brakes and threw the car into reverse with a Springboard Back Elbow to the sole adversary left in the ring, Jaser Cruz. Jaser wasn’t going to be put down that easily as he stopped Drake in motion with a STO Backbreaker Combo. With the Psycho Menace face-down onto the ring, he applied a Half Boston Crab to try to win this match early while Matthews and Widdel were preoccupied at ringside.
The Architect quickly races back into the ring by hopping up onto the ring apron and launching himself back into the ring with a Springboard Clothesline to break the hold. Jaser Cruz released the hold in time to swat Chris Matthews out of the air with a well-placed Super Kick.
With the Architect down and out, Jaser Cruz makes the first cover of this match.
ONE…
TWO…
TH--WAIT!!!
Daniel Widdel drags Jaser Cruz out of the ring by the ankle and into a Heel Hook applied at ringside.
The Carter: Well, that’s one way to prevent a pinfall in this match.
Francine: Who said the conventional way was the best way to go in one of these matches, Carter?
Prof. X: She’s got a point there. Daniel Widdel knew he wouldn’t been able to get into the ring in time so he improvised.
Ry Drake staggered back to his feet and struck with the Laid Out (Strong Right Kick to the Head) to the waking Architect. Before the Psycho Menace could go for the cover, Chris Matthews wisely rolls out of the ring to recuperate and avoid the pending Assassination (Jumping Curb Stomp). That doesn’t deter the Psycho Menace’s unorthodox behavior as he performs a Tri-Jump Diving Clothesline out of the ring into everyone at ringside.
The Carter: I guess that’s one way to bring the party to everyone in the streets.
Jaser Cruz poised ready to strike as he closed in with a Shining Wizard to waking Chris Matthews. The Architect reacts by catching Jaser onto his shoulders and threw him into the ringside barricade with another Turnbuckle Powerbomb. Performing this vile act caused the Architect to lower his defenses long enough for Daniel Widdel to lock in a Rear Naked Choke from behind. Chris Matthews backs up into the ring apron to counter to force Widdel to loosen his firm long enough for Matthews to slam Widdel face-first onto the steel steps with a Reverse STO. With the Psycho Menace left as the last victim that has managed to escape the Television Champion’s wrath, Chris Matthews sought to remedy that as he vaulted off of the ring apron with a Springboard Flying High Knee towards the waking Ry Drake. The Psycho Menace caught the Architect out of the air and slammed him against the front of the commentary table with a Snap Suplex. Ry Drake tried to roll Chris Matthews onto the commentary table but Matthews knocks him out cold with one of the camera monitors. Chris Matthews threw caution to the wind with a Broken Arrow (Corkscrew Shooting Star Press) to Ry Drake, sending their bodies crashing through the commentary table.
Prof. X: Look at the chaos all around us! All four men competing for the coveted Television Championship are out cold at ringside. These men are willing to do anything it takes to win this title match. Keep in mind that this is the first GZWA title match of 2016 and these men are definitely looking to set the bar high for everyone else for the duration of the year.
Francine: That’s no excuse to force a lady to stand up for the rest of this broadcast when we had a perfectly good view of the action.
The Carter: If this is Matthews’ last match, he’s definitely going out with a bang by putting all three of his challengers here through the ringer.
Chris Matthews is first to return to his feet after putting his body on the line with the last death-defying maneuver. Matthews began dragging Ry Drake back to the ring like dead weight and rolls him underneath the bottom rope. Matthews enters the ring with a Phoenix Splash and covers the helpless Ry Drake.
ONE…
TWO…
THR---NO!!!!
In pure disbelief, Chris Matthews argues with the referee. The Psycho Menace struck from behind with a Reverse DDT. With the Architect grounded, Ry Drake applied the Target Locked (Inverted Boston Crab) with aims to win this match here and now.
The Carter: If Matthews submits then GZWA is definitely going into the looney bin…
Francine: You must mean even more so than usual.
Chris Matthews makes a valiant effort to crawl and reach the ropes to attempt to break the hold, but Ry Drake of fighting him every bit of the way and dragging him back towards the center of the ring little by little. Fortunately for the Architect, his crisis is adverted by a well-timed Running Sitout Facebuster by Jaser Cruz to Ry Drake. Chris Matthews breathes a sigh of relief with his body draped out of the ring as he’s able to escape to hold after Drake releases the hold. Matthews’ troubles were far from over as Daniel Widdel struck with a Running Kenta Kick (performed in the style of Roman Reign’s Drive-By Kick on the ring apron).
Jaser Cruz and Daniel Widdel apply the Black Widow (Octopus Stretch) and Derection (Omoplata Shoulder Lock) to Ry Drake and Chris Matthews simultaneously.
Prof. X: This is unexpected. If Drake and Matthews both submit, Jaser and Daniel may have to share the gold.
Francine: You know that there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of that working out between them given the egos going into this match.
The Carter: Looks like we spoke too soon. Seems like Ry Drake’s brand of crazy cooked up a way out of this mess.
The Psycho Menace broke the hold by force by performing a Swinging Sidewalk Slam to break Jaser’s hold and inadvertently break Daniel’s hold as well by slinging Jaser’s body into Widdel’s own, who removes Widdel from Matthews w/ a modified Face-Jam (Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissor Takedown transitioned into a Kneeling Facebuster).
Prof. X: Impressive offense and on the fly adaptation by the young sibling of the Cruz family.
Ry Drake wasn’t impressed with Jaser’s theatrics. He charges in with a Running Flying Knee to the nimble, yet stylish Jaser Cruz. Jaser met him head-on with a Swinging Sleeperslam. Jaser doesn’t stop there as he looked at Ry Drake laying at his feet with a cocky grin. He spotted the Architect slowly rising back to his feet and reintroduced himself to the TV Champ with the first in the series of 3 Amigos (Three Swinging Neckbreakers). When Jaser went for the last Neckbreaker in succession, the Architect responded with a German Suplex transitioned into the SeAL of Approval (Double Underhook Chicken Wing) as he held Jaser in a seated position.
Daniel Widdel was quick to break the hold with a Running Kick to the Face aimed at Chris Matthews’ skull. The ever-resourceful TV Champion uses Jaser Cruz as a shield from the attack and Irish whipped confused Widdel into the corner. With the momentum still in his control, Matthews followed up with a Corner Forearm Smash. Unfortunately, Matthews misfired and crashes into the corner as Daniel Widdel moved out of harm’s way.
Prof. X: It’s not looking good for the Architect after missing a big move like that at this stage of the game.
Francine: It’s still anyone’s game. All four of these guys have been bringing it.
The Carter: Wait a second, what’s that lunatic up to now!!??
To shock and awe for the live audience, Ry Drake walks the ropes and performs Assassination (Jumping Curb Stomp) to smash the Architect’s skull onto the top turnbuckle. Jaser Cruz saw his golden opportunity and closed in with a Running Spear to the Architect. Daniel Widdel struck first with a Complete Shot to drop their bodies out of harm’s way down flat on the mat, causing Jaser Cruz to impact into the Psycho Menace instead as they both crash down to the ringside floor. Upon impact of the Complete Shot, Daniel Widdel transitions into an application of Narcotic (Koji Clutch) but Matthews is already out cold from the Assassination by Drake mere moments ago. As a result, the referee deems Daniel Widdel the winner of this match and new GZWA Television Champion.
Prof. X: There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. After one of the best TV title matches I have had the honor of calling the action for, I am proud to announce that Daniel Widdel is the NEW GZWA Television Champion.
The Carter: You can’t knock the former champion either. He fought to his last breath like a true Marine! Chris Matthews never actually submitted here.
Francine: Fair enough, but you can’t sell any of these competitors in this match short. That was one hell of a match. If that’s what we have tonight before Riot Control then I’m dying to see how that main event will play out for the GZWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Prof. X: As much as I would love to discuss that in detail, we’re unfortunately out of time here tonight, folks.
