The scene opens up to show a raven-haired Raven sitting across from what seems to be a GZWA interviewer. With her legs and arms crossed, it was obvious that this was not the place she wanted to be. She walked in the arena and in a matter of minutes she was going to make her way back out. The stress of her now sharing her contender’s spot and her relationship with Victor falling apart, another Xplosion filled with insults, arguments and catty back & forth was not what she needed. She needed to focus. She needed to go back home and get her game plan ready. She needed… to NOT get caught by this damn interviewer who was taking forever and a day to get her shit together. Fed up, Raven snatched the cards from the interviewer to see what was going to be asked. Raven looked up at the interviewer with an “really, girl?” look on her face.
“Meh. What the hell.” she thought as she tossed the cards back..the interviewer barely catching them as she was now ready.
interviewer. Raven, how are you tonight?
raven. I’m fine.
Raven’s answer was short and snarky. The interviewer cleared her throat before continuing.
interviewer. This is a new look for you. You look great!
raven. I know.
Raven’s eyes rolled in the back of her head as this was a fact she already knew. The tone of her voice let the person know quickly that she was wasting time and to get on with it.
interviewer. Okay. This has been quite the journey for you in the past couple of years. You stomped your way to the top of the division and became champion. SOme time after you issued your own belt renaming it The Vixen’s Championship, along with renaming the division. You held the gold in your division from mid-2013 to mid-2015. Now here you are, notches down the totem pole, fighting to regain what you lost while fighting personal business with your relationship to Victor. What’s running through your mind right now?
raven. As far as Vic? I’m just gonna keep chasing my “material thing” while I let his hypocritical ass sulk and be mad over his “material thing”. I’m done trying.
Rae sucked in her bottom lip as she inhaled before answering the next question.
raven. I… Have said all that I had to say. I was the champion, This fatal 4-way is B.S., I don’t like Marisol, I don’t care for Delta, I don’t know Beth, I’M walking out as champion by the end of that night, yada yada. I mean, HOW many different times can I say those things? How many times can we make the hair jokes and have speeches about rising above and about finally reaching a dream and talk about an imaginary flame that’s been “reignited”? Like Oh. My God. Can we just have the match already? I am DONE talking. I just want to get to the Pay-Per-View, stomp down that ramp and stomp on necks and walk out with my title again.
interviewer. About that. One may say that due to your…different tactics at times, that you’re seen as the black sheep in the match whereas all the other women have a mutual respect for each other. Plus all have spoken about your “reign of terror” as champ and not wanting a repeat of it. Do you think that it’s possible that they would work together to assure that anyone besides YOU walks out as champion?
raven. *she chuckles* If they do then that would be a bitch move…. - But, I wouldn’t be shocked. If anyone would be the ringleader in that, it would be Marisol.
interviewer. Why do you think that?
raven. You’re kidding me. Have you been watching the past couple of years? If ANYONE would love to make sure that I wasn’t champions again, it’s her. I’ve seen AND heard about some of her “mean girl” ways before she turned into Ghandi, so I wouldn’t be shocked one bit if she scraped up some of her old self for this match to try and keep that dying flame alive. You know what? Let me tell you something about her and her flame.
It’s BEEN extinguished for years. Okay? I’m sure that’s partly the reason she decided to take a backseat and train some of the younger girls along with wanting to help the new generation or some bull. But when those girls buck up and want to make a name for themselves and do it by going after her, who gets their ass handed to them? SHE does. At every corner, at every turn, with every trainee. At a certain point she became our very own Shawn Michaels: Never able to win the big one until a match that had outside interference turned the tide to her favor. Now that she’s champ, that fire of hers has been getting just a liiiiiiiittle bit higher, but not TOO high! Remember when she just barely beat that blonde stick figure just a couple weeks ago? That’s a sign that that fire of hers isn’t here to stay. This piece of adrenaline to her career is her last joyride at the top. It’s coming to an end at Riot Control and I’ll make sure of that.
Raven shrugs with wide eyes as if to say that that was the point, blank and the period.
interviewer. So would you say that Mariah is your main point of focus in this match?
raven. Eh. In a way. I know Delta and Beth are no slouches when it comes to the ring, so I’m not just gonna ignore or underestimate them to focus on making Marisol’s time in the ring hell. Delta did impressively win three match in one night to win that “Queen” title and Beth has held the now defunct Women’s Title. Plus look at her. She’s built like Serena Williams for God’s sake. As always, though, the main focus is getting my name back on that gold plate.
interviewer. So have you thought about the alternatives to this match?
raven. Which would be..?
interviewer. Mariah, Delta or Beth celebrating with that belt while you, on the loser’s end again, watching and realizing that you’ll have to, eventually, claw your way back to be a contender in the midst of all the new Vixens that have joined the company.
Raven turned her head and lightly chuckled to herself. She stood up from her seat, straightening out her mini and she walked behind the interviewers seat to lean down into her ear.
raven. That...is not an option.
Rae leaned up while patting the interviewer on the head for a job well done and walked out of the room. The scene fading to black.
“Meh. What the hell.” she thought as she tossed the cards back..the interviewer barely catching them as she was now ready.
