Military Park visit. Greensboro, North Carolina. Thursday 26th May.
After his match against Dante McCaffery in Supreme Championship Wrestling Breakdown show last night, he had to rush straight over to Greensboro first thing in the morning after his match against a new wrestler was official. Konrad was certain that he had his last ever wrestling match in SCW, but it turns out to be his last match until July was happening in Ground Zero Wrestling Association. He had recently told the boss via a twitter DM as to why he needed time off from wrestling for a month which was all thumbs up, but for now since he only got here from Ottawa Canada an hour ago, he had been researching the place in the hotel room back in Canada and on the plane on the things to do around North Carolina and he found this Military Park.
A place where former Soldiers are remembered for their battles as he decides to take a seat, even though he had been sitting down a lot and he still hadn't checked into his hotel room yet since he had other business to take care of, but for now, he's arrived and had been doing a lot of gym work over the past few days along with having a match so he's not even having a slight bit of rust at all as he looks at the statues and looks at them as he thinks a lot about the opponent he barely mentioned which in fact there's not really much for Konrad to say at all because of his opponent making a debut to the company, a guy known as Kenshin Koroshiya.
Konrad knew a lot about Japanese wrestlers by now as he wrestles in Japan once a month to gain the experience he needed in wrestling and he sees the GZWA camera crew caught Konrad just in time as Konrad texted them where he was going to be for his video as the GZWA road agent carried Konrad's bags and gave him a card of the hotel he's staying at since they booked it for Konrad luckily and he finally begins to speak.
Konrad Raab: "I had to dash all the way over here since I had to wrestle last night in another company, but I'm glad I get the chance to wrestle in GZWA again because I miss wrestling for this company I care about and I've not wrestled since me and SM Raye won the tag match I think a month ago now, but seeing that Victor Phillips had addressed the comments I made sometime ago I just remembered, I will point them first. Dude, you are aware the reason why I dislike you is because of the actions you made in my match against Ry Drake on Xplosion.
You know how furious I was when you helped me to win and I don't like anybody winning matches for you because it makes me think I'm a lousy wrestler who got lucky with his win because I couldn't keep Ry's hands down for the three count like I almost did with the match we had. If you understood how I respect this sport, you'd understand fully why I've been really annoyed with it. You'd understand why I want to face you in a match and I wouldn't mind facing Ry Drake again as well because I wouldn't call a DQ win a fair one at all. So I'll make sure I make that happen for another time, but for now, I need to talk about the main reason why I came to Greensboro and that's to face against Kenshin Koroshiya."
It was a match that Konrad was kind of expecting because if there's one thing he hadn't done for a few months, it's to help the newer wrestlers out to redefine their skills to the top of the GZWA ladder. A lot of fans he heard within GZWA have demanded a lot on when Konrad was finally going to get a championship match in the company. Even some of the wrestlers in the locker room at Xplosion were talking about it, but it wasn't the time to address it as he continues.
Konrad Raab: "I think it's fantastic I'm facing you because we have one thing in common, we both wrestled or are wrestling in Japan so I know a thing or two about how technical Japanese wrestlers are in the ring because I've learned a lot while I have been wrestling in Japan every month. Japanese take their wrestling extremely seriously compared to the Americans as they treat it like it's pride and honour they put into this business which is amazing. Because you are new to GZWA, I can't judge you at all whatsoever so instead, I've got a piece of paper of your profile here and it tells me a bit more about yourself on how respectable of a wrestler you are. I'm always respecting people too, especially ones who have earned it.
You seem like the type of Japanese wrestler I expected with the moves you seem to have and from watching video clips of you in action, I really see a ton of potential in you here that I can easily tap since I'm quite well known over there and just like you, I also live there too being one of my three homes I live in apart from America and Germany as well and I'm getting my Japanese apartment done up at the moment. I like facing new challenges when I'm put in front of one because it just gets me excited, more so on someone I don't know very well and I like to think this match will be a tough battle and you will give everything you have towards me in the match."
It was really hard for Konrad to think of things to say as Kenshin is new to GZWA, but Konrad indeed acknowledges the threat the rookie poses in front of him as he explained the reasons why they are facing against each other and the styles match together, but there's the other side that Konrad spotted with Kenshin, but he decides not to talk about it and instead speaks about something different.
Konrad Raab: "You see Kenshin, you might be feeling a little nervous with this being your first match in this company and I understand that because you don't know what to expect in a American company like this and I know you are going to be one tough kid to put down. You are looking like the future of this company more than you think because I see talent when I see it from the profile anyway and it seems like we can even be competitive against each other as well. I see that you are willing to commit yourself to be in this business and I hope you will because I've seen too many young kids these days just giving up just because of a loss or things not working out for them in this company, but that's another reason why Xion said I should face you because I can make you fit in just like that.
I can make you a star around here, but only if you are willing to push yourself forward. I am willing to help you develop your skills in the wrestling business since I don't think there's any wrestler who would do that for you in their first match. Everyone may have gotten jealous of me as of late because I'm undefeated if you didn't know already and I'm sure you've seen what I can do right? I'm sure you've studied everything you can about me, even the fact you've watched me wrestle last night to spot my weaknesses on TV, but I started here first and I feel right at home in GZWA because there's nobody bothering me as much and I've got a lot of attention just from wrestling here. There's even wrestlers like Victor who really don't like me, but you have wrestlers like Daniel Widdel the Television champion who respect my abilities and even being a guy who did challenge me for a title match."
The GZWA road agent came back with a hotel key where there's a little card stating his room number where the other GZWA stars are staying and places it in his pocket before Konrad speaks again while looking at the statues.
Konrad Raab: "I'm going to tell people a fact about me that reminds me of why I'm here. You see long before I became a wrestler, I was a fellow German military soldier and it wasn't because I wanted to fight in a war to defend my country although later on it did prove to be the point, it was mainly because my parents wanted me to toughen up as a man because I was a very weak individual when I was a child. I couldn't defend myself and I let kids walk all over me just because I was scared of fighting and getting angry so they placed me in the army and I learned a lot of lessons while being in the army. I guess it's the reason why I take wrestling seriously because of doing time in the army and even because of the mistakes I refuse to make in the business.
When I started Kenshin, I was a very mouthy and arrogant wrestler who really didn't care for anybody in this business because of course, I was inexperienced four years ago and I didn't know what I was doing, but now I've went to a wrestling school, I've learned so much that it helped me mature a lot and made me appreciate this business I'm apart of. People say I'm far too nice as a wrestler, but it's only because there's too many wrestlers who are afraid of being the hero of a wrestling company. I'm not afraid of that at all. I might be afraid of getting angry still, but not afraid of being a hero and certainly not afraid to lose matches to a rookie either because if I lose, it would actually be a success that I'd be promoting you as a wrestler right, that I've developed your skills correctly which a lot of wrestlers are so scared to do."
Konrad has a very serious look on his face as he looks around his past that have already played on his mind on the tough struggles he went through when he was in the army, but he learned a lot from the battles he went through, even seeing a death of his fellow friend in war as well which he always figures out where his friend's grave was he's never found out, but he worries about that another time as he gets back on track and speaks.
Konrad Raab: "The point is you will soon get used to being apart of GZWA as I'm still pretty new here myself even with the last few months of wrestling, you'll find yourself facing against other wrestlers here, but this match I see is also a punishment for me which I truly deserve to get my ass kicked by you. I really do after what I've done off camera, but I'm still looking forward to the fight because I don't know what you can do and I be the first to welcome you to the wonderful world of Ground Zero Wrestling Association because the action can be quite intense at times, especially the war between the Machine and the good guys of this place at the moment.
But I will be willing to fix those problems, along with talent like you not to ever be ignored around here. You may lose the match, but never take a loss against me a bad thing because I always felt you can learn a lot more from losing than winning which is a motto I've always believed in along with never using weapons in my matches or winning by cheap shots or cheating. That's not me because I will make sure I will push you to your limits and will make sure you will be ready to succeed in the future, but sadly for you and everyone in GZWA roster, I need to win because this is the last time you'll see me in the ring until July because I got to sort something major in my personal life, but I will make sure everyone remembers the performance I will bring in the ring and seeing you are a threat, I will do everything I can to capture the three count.
The world of Japanese wrestling will come together for one night to show the world that we can bring the competitive wrestling back that GZWA needs and the world of wrestling needs as well. Nothing, but bringing out best towards each other and be the ones that will shine the light of this company just like me and Ryan Kendrick did some months ago because you'll enjoy the ride of The Iceman experience Kenshin. Tomorrow night live in front of the entire world, there's history to be made on two Japanese style wrestlers go head to head to see who's the better man and we will wrestle for the fans along with developing your awesome wrestling skills. What I have left to say is prepare to be Iceinated by The Iceman and I wish you all the best after the match and see you succeed in GZWA."
Konrad looks at the statues in the Miltary park for a few hours since he hadn't been in Greensboro, North Carolina for long and he did walk around the town for a little bit to get something to eat and drink since he hadn't since early this morning to come here and although he was concerned for Fizz lately since she had been vomiting and needing the loo lately, along with the concern of his daughter having the same effects, but he knew he was going to be a Granddad soon, but will he be a father at the same time?
Who knows as he went to the hotel after doing a little bit of exploring the town along with eating and drinking something and goes in the lift to his floor which is five and the room number being 541 and he kicks back to relax as he went to the bathroom to have a leak before he comes out with a glass of water and places it on the table as he takes all of his clothes off as he closes the curtains and goes to his bag to find his medication which he does straight away and swallows the tablets with a glass of water before he turns the lights off and gets into bed to fall asleep straight away.
