♦ Jonathan Coachman ♦
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome back to the star studded extravaganza known as ZXWWF Mania weekend. Tonight is a very special night and I'm standing outside the place where the ZXWWF Class of 2010 will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a few hours. The Superstars, Vixens, and Divas are all arriving and I'll be here all night bringing you interviews with some of the very best this business has to offer.
A video package is shown honoring the men and women that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. At the end of the video the shot shows the red carpet and stepping out of a pearl limousine is none other than Xplosion's own "Purple Fury" Ivory.
Ivory...IVORY! May I have a few moments of your time?
Ivory smiles for the photographers that are snapping pictures when her name is called to the left of her. She looks over at Coachman and smiles and nods. She poses for a few more moments and walks over towards him with a smile.
♦ Purple Fury - Ivory ♦
Good evening Jonathan. I'm sure I can spare a few moments for you this evening.
Ivory laughs and gives him a hug for the cameras.
Now Ivory in a few hours we will see history and Legends will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, what are your feelings on this year's selections?
Well let me be the first to congratulate them all, they have accomplished something that I too aspire to accomplish one day. I think it is an incredibly hard job picking just who should receive an honor such as this with all the talent that just oozes daily from everyone involved in this company. I certainly do not envy the committee that selects these individuals but this year they have hit the nail on the head. We have some wonderful selections and well deserved I say. Congrats.
Now even though you are here is your mind already in the ring for your Women's Championship match tomorrow night?
Well I'd be lying if I said it was not on my mind. Every year this is the show that we work up too. You bust your ass to get a spot on the card and every match is just as important as the one that came before it or follows it. At Mania, Coach...there are no "little" matches.
Now this time last year...
Last year was last year Coach and I'd rather not dwell on that at all. What we can talk about is this year...specifically tomorrow night's match.
There are grumblings and some that praise your antics to insert Vicious Fury into the title match.
There is always grumblings when it comes to me or my methods, but truth be told Coach any one of those Vixens and/or Divas in the back could have done the same thing I did and will continue to do. I saw an opening and I seized it...was it vicious? Yes. Was it conniving? Perhaps. It's freakin Mania and I for one refused to sit at home or in the front row and watch everyone else live off the fruits of my dreams since the very first time I laced a pair of wrestling boots.
But Ivory sucking up to the GM? If you wanted in Vicious Fury had plenty of opportunities to get there.
True but is this any different from any of the other antics that I've always pulled in my career as a whole? I remember marching up to that big breasted blond bimbo Debra when she was "Lieutenant Fun Bags" in WWE and demanding a title shot. There was a Women's Championship opportunity and I seized it, now after I did that those other free loading skanks came in and demanded one as well but hey I won though didn't I? What I said to Kirsten and Natalya is true and I stand behind every word.
Ah ha Ivory, do you stand behind the "cutting" you did to Tough Love? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it you who is always frowning upon people who "tear-down" the division?
Indeed I am Coach, it is a blow to women's wrestling to say that we are ALL trash, I simply stated THEY were trashy tramps who would rather step through sheets instead of ring ropes. Sure Tough Love won the Riot Control match but bottom line is I sniff out weakness in my opponents and they opened the door. They got a guaranteed shot and got lazy. They stopped keeping all their bookings and appearances and no one saw or heard from them minus the televised Xplosion tapings. They were guaranteed a title shot and they are still getting it...just not how they anticipated it.
Why did you go to the trouble to get No Remorse in that match as well? It certainly does not help the win ratio for you and Victoria now.
Ah well see the thing everyone forgets about me is there is always a method to my madness. That is a primary reason Victoria and I are such a successful team here in the ZXWWF. We complement each others strengths and weaknesses so well. I asked for them to be in that match because although I despise Casey Cortez they earned it. She and Shelly worked very hard and have made themselves stand out from the pack right beside Vicious Fury. Why not add them to the match so that we can use them as the stepladder that propels us to top of the mountain. There is only room for one dominant Tag Team at the top and right now The Beautiful People hold the right to call themselves just that...until tomorrow night that is. They earned their way in and so I knew if given the opportunity I could earn our way in as well. It would've been stupid to overlook them for my own personal gain.
Speaking of personal gain, there are whispers amongst the company locker rooms and backstage areas that you are using questionable methods to get what you want.
Now how am I doing that Coach? Please explain that to me.
It is a known fact that you used to date the younger brother of the head match booker in the company, it is also no secret that I.S.M. Inc used to be his company until you bought him out and the two of you are friendly with one another.
Stop right there Coach, I see where you are going with this. First of all I simply cannot compete with the whispers that abide in all ranks of this company from top to bottom. All I can do is come to work every day, every night and do my job to the best of my ability whether it is appreciated or not. If I am rewarded for hard work it matters not. People were not happy with Jesus so how can I expect them to be happy with me. I will say it again, I do what others will not or refuse to do...Ask. A girl can only sit back in the rafters for so long before she has to do something to advance. Any of those people could go to his office or e-mail him and I'm sure he would do what he could for them. He gives me no special favors and he obviously does not control the outcome of the matches...we do.
What do you mean we do?
I mean we do when we go to the ring and perform. Our performance, movesets, skills, attributes, and abilities are what gets us over. Some of those complaining can't even be bothered to fix their own online profiles and it looks like trash and like they have no moves at all minus a finisher or two. How can the writers match these "Superstars" up and make you look good when you give them nothing to work with except their imagination? Besides, I happen to know for a fact that every week those cards are approved by upper management before he sends them to advertising to be published and to us the Superstars. If you choose to wait until 11:00 Sunday night to ask for something he may or may not get approval for your request. I'm quite sure he does ask though. I personally ask him for things before I leave the arena after Friday Night's Xplosion or Wednesday Night's VWA. Whenever I come up with something deliciously evil with Kirsten, Raven, or even ZX before his vacation, I always made it a point to tell him my plans so he can book accordingly. How can I expect him to book me properly if I say nothing to him at all?
But you always get what you want correct?
Coach if I got what I wanted then I'd be the Undisputed Vixen's Champion, Victoria and I would be Women's Tag Team Champions, that hussie Maryse would not exist in any capacity, That skank Jacqueline would be locked in a zoo beside Casey Cortez and anyone else who has any ill will towards me or who has made it their mission in life to retire me, and last but certainly not least and my boyfriend John Cena and Amanda would be squaring off for the VWA Heavyweight Championship in the VWA main event tomorrow night. So because none of those things are true...I don't always get what I want now do I?
Well when you put it that way I suppose you are right.
Why should I be punished for everyone else's perception of me Coach...Why? Why should I not get the just things I earn right along with everyone else. So what if I'm a conniving and evil bitch to get what I want. They'd all do the same thing I just cop to when I'm being a bitch where others refuse to cop to it when they do it in their own sneaky little ways. I'd go crazy trying to keep up with all the conspiracy circles that are created here and quite frankly I simply do not care. I will continue to be Ivory while everyone else worries about what I'm doing instead of advancing their careers. It is why I will be inducted into this very Hall of Fame and they will be complaining about someone else succeeding over their willingness to sit in the very rafters I watched them excel from over a year ago. But hey there always has to be a villain in every tale so I happily accept the title, I'm a much better heel than face any day.
But the villain of every tale loses to the hero in the end.
Coach if there is one thing I know it's how to take a loss. I frequently take them to some of the other Ladies in the ring. The difference is I will continue to get up and come right back and compete right along with them every night. I'm not the same as I was ten years ago so I simply have to do what I have to do to succeed in this business. I will train and push myself until I can't do it anymore. I will not quit or resign so the only way to get rid of Ivory is non renewal of my contract or to fire me outright. In the words of my man Cena..I don't know the meaning of quit in anything I set out to do to include tomorrow night's Championship match.
Well good luck in that match tomorrow night Ivory. Folks this is the Coach and we'll be back with more of your favorites on this star studded affair.
Bio
Lisa Moretti (born November 26, 1961) is an American professional wrestler. She is best known for her appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment (previously the World Wrestling Federation) between 1999 and 2005 under the ring name Ivory. Moretti, however, began her career in the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling professional wrestling promotion, where she wrestled as Tina Ferrari from the mid-to-late 1980s. She then debuted in the World Wrestling Federation in 1999 as the manager for the team of Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown. She won the WWE Women's Championship twice before becoming a part of the Right to Censor, an alliance of wrestlers with conservative views, and winning the title for a third time.
In her later years with the company, she only wrestled sporadically. She did, however, co-host WWE Experience and act as a trainer on WWE Tough Enough. After being released in 2005, she wrestled a few matches on the independent circuit, winning two other titles. She also began working in the landscaping industry and volunteering with her local animal shelter. In addition, she opened an animal and grooming facility named Downtown Dog in her home town in 2007.
Professional wrestling career
Early career
In her youth, Lisa Moretti wrestled with her two brothers and sister. Later, while attending the University of Southern California, Moretti was—in her own words—"dragged by a friend" to an audition held by the newly-formed Las Vegas, Nevada-based Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). She was successful in her audition and went on to train under Mando Guerrero for six weeks, before beginning to wrestle in GLOW under the ring name Tina Ferrari. Moretti also formed a tag team with Ashley Cartier, known as T & A, with whom she won the GLOW Tag Team Championship. She also defeated Colonel Ninotchka to win the vacant GLOW Championship, represented by a crown. She later wrestled for the Powerful Women of Wrestling promotion under the ring names Nina and Tina Moretti, winning the POWW Championship.

In March 1999, Moretti returned to wrestling, signing a contract with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Her first appearance in WWF was accompanying the The Godfather, a "pimp"-character who was accompanied by women called "hos", to the ring. On the February 13, 1999 episode of Raw, however, Moretti was introduced as Ivory, the love interest of Mark Henry. Moretti acted as the valet for the tag team of Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown, Moretti made her televised WWF in-ring debut on the February 15 episode of Raw, teaming with Brown to face Jeff Jarrett and Debra in an intergender tag team match that ended in a no-contest. Moretti faced Debra in a singles match on the March 1 episode of Raw, defeating Debra by disqualification after she was attacked by the Pretty Mean Sisters (Jacqueline Moore and Terri Runnels). At WrestleMania XV on March 28, Moretti accompanied D'Lo Brown and Test to the ring for their World Tag Team Championship title match against Jarrett and Owen Hart. Jarrett and Hart retained their title following interference from Moore, Runnels, and Debra.
During this time, the women in the WWF were known more for their appearances rather than their wrestling abilities, and featuring women in strip matches or farcical "slop matches"—a match that takes place in a pool full of slop—was common. Moretti, who was a trained wrestler, won the Women's Championship on June 14, by defeating Debra

and defended her title against Tori at SummerSlam on August 22. Moretti continued to feud with Tori in the weeks following SummerSlam, defeating her in the first ever WWF women's hardcore match on September 6. Next, Moretti was challenged by Luna Vachon, who Moretti defeated in a farcical hardcore match at Unforgiven on September 26. SLAM! Wrestling called the match "pointless and senseless". In October 1999, Moretti feuded with the The Fabulous Moolah, who defeated her for the Women's Championship on October 17, 1999 at No Mercy in what John Powell of SLAM! Wrestling called the "worst match I've ever seen". She, however, defeated Moolah in a rematch on the October 25 episode of Raw to win her second Women's Championship. Her second title reign ended with a loss to Miss Kitty, an un-trained wrestler, in a Four Corners Evening Gown Pool match—a match where a wrestler wins by stripping the evening gown off of her opponents—on December 12 at Armageddon.
Right to Censor (1999–2001)
In late 1999, Moretti began playing a more conservative character. On January 23, 2000 at the Royal Rumble, she grudgingly took part in the "Miss Royal Rumble" swimsuit contest, which was won by Mae Young. She challenged Jacqueline for the Women's Championship on March 9, but she was unsuccessful. After an absence, Moretti returned to WWF television in September 2000 as a member of an alliance of conservative wrestlers known as Right to Censor.[3] The change in character saw her don less suggestive ring attire and more conservative haristyles. Moretti quickly began a rivalry with Women's Champion Lita, winning the Women's Championship by defeating Lita, Jacqueline, and Trish Stratus in a Fatal Four-Way match. She retained the title against Lita at the Survivor Series on November 19—with the assistance of Right to Censor leader Steven Richards—in a match that SLAM! Wrestling claimed "illustrated to what heights women's wrestling is capable of reaching in North America if the right talent is permitted to strut their stuff in a wrestling ring and not a pit full of jello." Moretti also retained her title in a Triple Threat match against Stratus and Molly Holly at Armageddon on December 10.
Ivory and the Right to Censor began feuding with Chyna after the latter posed for Playboy in late 2000.
On the December 7 episode of Raw, Moretti and Val Venis delivered a double-team piledriver to Chyna, which in storyline, injured her neck. Chyna challenged Moretti for the Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble on January 21, 2001. Moretti retained her title when she pinned Chyna, who had appeared to re-aggravate her neck injury. Chyna challenged Moretti for the title once more at WrestleMania X-Seven on April 1 and defeated Moretti in a brief match, ending Moretti's third reign as Women's Champion. Right to Censor disbanded on April 26, 2001.
Sporadic appearances (2001–2005)
Moretti returned to WWF television on the August 6 episode of Raw, joining The Alliance during The Invasion, a storyline where the former wrestlers of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling formed an alliance and "invaded" the WWF. Moretti formed an alliance with former WCW wrestlers Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler after helping them defeat Jacqueline in a handicap match, but she eventually became the valet for Lance Storm. At No Mercy, Moretti accompanied Storm and The Hurricane to the ring, but the Hardy Boyz defeated the two men to retain their WCW World Tag Team Championship. Moretti went on to compete in the women's division, and on November 18 at the Survivor Series, she participated in a six-pack challenge for the vacant Women's Championship, which Trish Stratus won.
In early 2002, Moretti served as a trainer in the second series of Tough Enough. After the World Wrestling Federation was renamed "World Wrestling Entertainment" and the roster was split into two "brands"—Raw and SmackDown!—Moretti was drafted to the SmackDown! brand. Along with several other SmackDown! wrestlers, Moretti was traded to Raw in exchange for The Big Show in November 2002. Throughout the remainder of 2002, she teamed with Victoria and feuded with Trish Stratus.
Throughout 2003, Moretti wrestled sporadically in the women's division. Her only pay-per-view appearance in the course of the year was on December 14 at Armageddon, where she unsuccessfully challenged Molly Holly for the Women's Championship. She also served as a trainer on the third season of Tough Enough and did broadcasting duties at WWE events. Moretti also spent eight weeks working as a trainer at the WWE developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. In May of that year, she and Todd Grisham began hosting WWE Experience, a weekly television show that recapped events from Raw and SmackDown!. On July 22, 2005, several weeks before WWE Experience ended in August 2005, WWE announced that Moretti's contract would not be renewed.
Independent circuit
Moretti began wrestling sporadically on the independent circuit under her own name. On November 19, 2005 in Spartanburg, South Carolina at "A Tribute to Starrcade", she teamed with Bambi to defeat Team Blondage (Krissy Vaine and Amber O'Neal) for the CCW Tag Team Championship. On April 21, 2006 in Surrey, British Columbia, Moretti defeated Rebecca Knox for Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW)'s NWA SuperGirls Championship. She also successfully retained her title in a match the following night. Afterward, she decided to stay with ECCW to help create a strong women's division. She held the title for approximately five months before losing it to Nattie Neidhart on October 8, 2006. By her own admission, Moretti enjoyed working on the independent circuit.
Personal life
Lisa Moretti was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She has three siblings: two brothers and one sister. She studied public relations at the University of Southern California, and she was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League in the mid-1980s. Prior to beginning her career in wrestling, Moretti worked as a make-up artist for the cosmetics brand Revlon.
After leaving WWE, Moretti began working in the landscaping industry. Moretti also worked with her niece to help the pet population affected by Hurricane Katrina. In addition, Moretti volunteered for a organization called Best Friends Animal Society, which is a no-kill animal shelter—a shelter that does not euthanize to control animal populations—in Utah. She also worked with her local animal shelter on San Juan Island in northwestern Washington, where she has lived since 2000. While working at the shelter, she met Jessica Ray, with whom she opened Downtown Dog in 2007. The facility is an animal daycare, as well as a training, grooming, and cat boarding company located in Friday Harbor. In June 2007, they expanded the business to include veterinary care and later the Bow Wow Bus, which takes the dogs on outings. Moretti has taken classes to learn how to groom animals and now grooms them as part of the business.
