GZWA has been making rounds in social media as of late for promotion of the upcoming Stardom Tag Team Classic Special on Primetime this weekend. In turn, this has led to GZWA holding a press conference to address details of this special edition of Primetime.
Christy Hemme is standing with both Gail Kim and Mariah who have both agreed to appear for final words before their match on Primetime.
Christy Hemme: "I thank you both ladies for joining me and the rest of the GZWA Nation for this special press conference for the Stardom Tag Team Classic Special. We are giving you both this platform to get anything off your chests before things get physical on Primetime.
I'm going to start with you, Mariah.
As agreed on, you have signed the contract that dictates that if you lose against Gail Kim this week you not only forfeit your leadership of the Vixen division but your entire wrestling career, including training and coaching upcoming talent. I have to ask that why were you so willing to put all of that on the line?"
Mariah: "I'm not afraid. I can't do this forever anyway. Every morning when I wake up and get out of bed, my body tells me that, but regardless the pain and suffering I may endure physically and mentally, I'm not going to sit back and do nothing while outsiders come into the house I helped built and put on the map and try to tear it down. If I have to put my legacy and career on the line to prove my loyalty and how much I love this company, then so be it.
There's one thing that Gail has not pointed out in that contract that I'm sure she's not aware I noticed in the fine print...
If she loses, she's in just as bad shape as I am. She will have to walk away from this business forever as well. Not just from GZWA, but from all of it."
Christy Hemme looks over to Gail Kim who nods with a smile on her face.
Gail Kim adds, "Yes, but I wasn't going to keep that a secret from you nor the GZWA Nation. No tricks. No secrets. Mr. Zeros has given me free reign to handle my business with you however I see fit. Don't worry yourself about any foul play either. I have the utmost confidence in my ability to defeat you. Many have tried to put Ole Yeller down, but all of those other girls are not Gail Kim.
I'm not a washed up stripper who turned to professional wrestling for another paycheck and to elevate her social status just to become a reality TV star like Morgan Davis. I'm not a delusional, jaded, egotistical hood rat like Raven. I'm not here to talk a lot of trash and fail to get the job done like your sisters and the bulk of your students. No, Mariah, I am a 5-time Knockouts Champion and I could have easily walked into this company and added the Vixen Championship to that list of my accolades. And honey, it wouldn't have taken me seven years to do it either. And more importantly, I'm not like Delta Madison - I'm going to be here on Primetime to face you.
Maybe you should take a lesson from Katie Matthews, Cheeka, Karen Beth Zurich, Porscha, Mei Long, Tia Brooks, and Lise Starr and take your ball and go home? Spare yourself the embarrassment on Primetime."
Mariah shook her head.
"Gail, that's where you're wrong about these women. Say what you want about the Vixens - past, present, or future, but despite our differences, we have all came here to maintain the dignity of this sport. We may have come from different ways of life but we all love GZWA and we love wrestling.
Morgan and the women who haven't been brought up in this business right off the bat aren't any different than the two of us. Despite their personal disagreements with me or with GZWA Management, Cheeka, Katie, Lise, Porscha, Karen, Tia, Delta, and even Raven - as stubborn as she may be in her arrogance - love what we do here. The last thing they would do is tarnish the legacy that we have made here for the women of professional wrestling. And that goes double for my sisters. They have just as much passion and love for this business as we do. We may all walk down different paths of life but we are all equals when the women of GZWA share that ring.
If I have sacrifice everything to make you open your eyes, then so be it."
Gail slams her fist down on the podium.
"You see, that's what pisses me off about you. You weren't there when I have been scratching and clawing my way to the top in an era where women couldn't amount to anything in this business without trading in their own self-respect or abandoning all their morals in return of stardom. I didn't do either and overcame every obstacle in my way for women like you to have a place in this industry. Instead of challenging me, you should be on your knees thanking me and worshiping the ground that I walk on. You've won many battles and skirmishes over the years, I'll give you that. But you haven't experienced a WAR and you didn't walk across the battlefields that I have time and time again to become the REVOLUTIONARY that I am today.
But don't fret, Mariah. Come Primetime, I'm bringing the war to you for you can feel every bit of pain and anguish I went through."
Mariah snaps back.
"Why wait? We can settle this now. You made it clear that you want to make a statement by insulting my family and friends in front of these people. Why should I be a good little soldier and stand in line?
I'll answer that for you. That's not who I am. Amanda is the lunatic and loose cannon. Amber is the firecracker.
And me? I have a different problem, Gail. I don't know when to stop. When I sink my teeth into something or someone, I don't know how to let go. On Primetime, I'm going to take everything you throw at me and keep on coming back for more. You're going to regret picking a fight with me.
I'm not a diva that you throw yourself head-first out of the way to ignore like a minor annoyance and I damn sure don't have to be a knockout to beat you. Just keep pressing my buttons and you will be."
Gail Kim merely claps slowly to mock Mariah's boast.
Christy Hemme speaks up to try to cut the tension that's so thick between these two women that one could cut it with a knife.
"With that ladies, I'm afraid we're out of time. I thank you both for keeping things civil - for the most part - here for the GZWA Nation this morning. Best of luck to you both on Primetime with the stakes high in such a never before encounter for either of you. May the best woman win."
Gail Kim and Mariah smirk in unison and utter the words, "Oh I will..." simultaneously.
