Starting a whole new chapter of Konrad's career. Berlin, Germany. Saturday 24th September.
For the first time since he started wrestling in GZWA, Konrad was at a point where he finally had something that wasn't going for a title related that he had something big to overcome. Although he has a much bigger match on Wednesday night for the US title which he's done a shit ton of training for, he hadn't forgotten about facing against the one and only man to have ever defeated Konrad in the GZWA company, The Miz. He was the one who challenged him for a one on one match because he of course now had to come swinging pretty hard like he had to learn a lot about having a killer instinct attitude towards things while training in the gym with his trainer Chris Richards in the gym.
Of course he was told to have a few hours off as he walks around the Berlin town as part of his European tour with another company, but it so happens that GZWA camera crew knew about Konrad being back in his home country performing in front of his home fans last night and he had a day off today as it came to him to spend time on talking about the match with Miz for a bit. He's standing right opposite the Berlin wall that's almost being torn down, but it's something that will always be apart of the history in Germany as he takes a few minutes to gather up his thoughts about the upcoming match as he begins to speak.
Konrad Raab: "Well what is there for me to say about the loss I had against The Miz? Not much really other than he took an advantage of what Chris Cannon did to me days before the fatal four way match came around. I wasn't beating myself up about the loss which is the first time in my life I haven't because I know I didn't do anything wrong and yes I was in shock when I lost to The Miz, but I will admit it's because I completely underestimated Miz and it's something I will never ever do again, especially I was the one who asked for this match and why? Because this is the only goal I have to achieve, just like the Berlin wall achieved that everyone will remember the fact that East and West Germany had to be separated because Germany at the time didn't want to reunite as one single German country.
In the end they solved all of their differences and became the country that solved all the issues they had. That's the sort of memory The Miz has over me and sure, Ryan Kendrick and Samuel have come so close on beating me before, but they only were just slightly off from doing so, but you went out all guns blazing at me and accomplished such a big goal that everyone who's ever faced me failed to do."
At this point of time, Konrad realises what mistakes were made in the match and it was the completely the opposite of what he was doing wrong in Supreme Championship Wrestling, being over confident of himself and he knew underestimating his opponent especially The Miz was his huge big mistake and he has the chance to correct his mistakes and speaks again.
Konrad Raab: "I think I've already spoken most of the positives about Miz as he's got an incredible amount of talent and as of right now, he's indeed a title contender for GZWA. I know it's pretty early to say that towards anyone, but I go back to what I said a few minutes ago that he's beaten me in the middle of the ring and that fighting style he has along with the remarkable talent Miz has that makes him very worthy of being a GZWA title contender. I have nothing, but the utmost respect in the world for him and there's no excuses to make because I admit I made a mistake and willing to move on from the loss. Of course it means he's much more of a threat to me than he was before that match.
I mean of course, he was new to GZWA so nobody really knew from wrestling him in action face to face what he could really do, but I've indeed taken a bit of time for a little while in the gym somehow on my laptop to watch a few of Miz's old matches from the American company and it's no wonder why he's beaten me because he's certainly done a lot more in the sport than I have in the four years of being in this business. I admire your entertaining TV show to make yourself stand out of the pack out of everyone in the match as well. You are a very bubbly type of person with full of energy and even passion for this business as well so you are totally worth my time to face you in a singles match."
Konrad knows how important it was for him to win the match against Miz and he didn't care if he had to quickly go back to America to wrestle and then going back to France the next day, but it was worth his time to invest in and he scratches his left cheek along with his chin along with drinking some water before he gets the chance to speak again.
Konrad Raab: "I know what you said on respecting me for wanting a rematch and do you know why? It's because I want to see what you can do in a one on one situation with me because I always constantly want to improve on myself as a wrestler and I'm not letting the win slip away from me. I can forget about my wins and titles I've won in my career, but I never forget about wrestlers who beat me for the very first time in a company and I refuse to continue my path for championship belts if I lost because right now, I haven't earned one and some have said it's quite hash that Xion is punishing me for not placing me in a match for a title shot sooner.
But I rather work for it than having things gifted to me because it would make me a lazy wrestler who ask and demands title shots without doing a damn thing to do so. I have nothing bad to say against you at all, hell I can't even say much because it would make me look stupid for me to say I will win because there's a fifty-fifty chance that I won't. I refuse to give up and I want to bring everything I have to you Miz since my ribs are one hundred percent better now and I'll be coming in with a little momentum, but at the same time, taking you to the test that you deserve from me."
Konrad swallows for a little bit as he takes a quick sip of his water while looking at the Berlin wall for two minutes before he speaks for the last time.
Konrad Raab: "You will get the match of your life from me, being competitive with one another to tear the whole house down to show the main eventers that we are the future of GZWA and I wait for the day that Carnage will lose the GZWA Heavyweight title because it can do with a fresh Heavyweight champion around here, ones who take wrestling seriously like me and you Miz. I will take you to your limits and doing anything in the rules possible to capture the win from you because I will not want a title shot against anybody until I overcome my goal of defeating you in the match and if I lose, I won't give up finding a way to face you again for another match with a lot of frostbite to consistently push you until I win. Good luck Miz because you are going to need it. Not making anything up, it's the truth on everything I've said about you. As you said to me recently and I'll mention it again here, may the best man win indeed."
It was a little bit of aggression from Konrad, but of course he is in focus mode as he has been all week and for a good reason considering he has two major matches of his career coming up as he goes back into hotel and do some more gym work for two hours before he spends the rest of the night with Fizz and his kids in the hotel room to get himself some sleep before travelling to Holland tomorrow morning for another match on the European tour he's on.
