I couldn't sleep
Took a walk down Second Avenue
Sick of dreaming dreams that never come true
One way street and I know where its leading to
There's a "For Sale" sign on the front door of the city hall
The subway line got graffiti crawling off the wall
I could take a hit but I don't want to take the fall
That's just one side of the story
In this two story town
It's just the same old sights
And the same old sounds
I want to take my car and drive out of this two story town
It's the same old shit going around
I'm going down, down ,down, down, down
In a two story town

{SUNDAY NIGHT/MONDAY MORNING - 3:34 AM}
The scene opens up in the master bedroom of the Showtime Mansion as Bobbi Jackson and her husband Michael Showtime are in bed for the evening. Showtime is sleeping on his side, his back towards the beautiful blonde while Bobbi just lays there wide awake, headphones in her ears as she watches footage and highlight clips of all the women on the GZWA roster. She figures if she can't sleep, the least she can do is try to study her future opponents as she takes down mental notes in her own mind.
The phone dings mid video as a text message from Mariah. It's been a couple days from being up in New York to see her and it's always good to see that she's doing okay. Bobbi smiles at the message and returns it in kind. The blonde lets out a happy sigh as if it wasn't for Mariah reaching over to her a few weeks ago in her darkest moments this return wouldn't be happening.
Bobbi has lived a pretty quiet and peaceful life since retiring from the world of professional wrestling. But over the last several months she's just had a nagging feeling that something has been missing from her life. Something that's keeping her from truly feeling complete like she once was. She is pretty certain that coming out of retirement to wrestle again is going to fill that void, but even now as she lays there in bed she's not one hundred percent convinced...it's hard to be when she's been out of the game for this long.
As she goes to switch back to the video she feels a hand on her shoulder as she shrieks and sits up startled as she reaches over and turns on the light on the nightstand beside the bed as Michael sits there in bed with her, a bewildered look on his face as his hand is still kinda brushing up against her shoulder.
Michael: Bobbi, it's almost four in the morning, why are you still up?
He decides to ask a quick back to back question while he has the chance.
Michael: And why are you so jumpy? Who else would have touched your shoulder in our bedroom in the middle of the night?
Bobbi chews on her lower lip as she removes her headphones clearly looking flustered and embarrassed as he makes several good points within both of his questions, it is late and she should be sleeping and of course she has no reason to be jumpy when she's in the bedroom with her husband. She sighs softly before trying to answer and explain herself...
Bobbi: I'm sorry, I just couldn't fall asleep. So I was just watching footage of the other women in the GZWA. Trying to study the competition...and I had the headphones in so I wouldn't bother you so I didn't hear you stirring awake and moving towards me to touch my shoulder or I wouldn't have jumped....
Bobbi sighs again and just stares at him with her big brown eyes.
Bobbi: I'm really sorry hun...
Michael yawns however and waves it off, clearly not upset at all.
Michael: There's no reason to apologize, I was just curious that's all...
He says as he gently rubs her back.
Michael: You know I just want you to be happy, I just never thought that would include you stepping back into the wrestling ring. I really thought we were both past that stage of our lives...
Showtime says with a mix of sincerity and sadness in his voice, Bobbi hasn't made it public knowledge...but her husband is less than thrilled about her sudden desire to return to the world of professional wrestling.
Michael Showtime, an almost fifth-teen year veteran of the sport retired from the business with his wife shortly after Ring of Beauty closed several years ago. He saved his money wisely, and has been enjoying retirement with his beautiful wife ever since but Bobbi's sudden urge to return to the sport has him feeling a bit uneasy, and understandably so because every time the blonde gets neck deep in her career, her life starts getting kinda crazy which in turn makes his life crazy as well.
Bobbi has tried to be sympathetic to his feelings since she made her decision to return but at the same token, it's kinda frustrating to her that she doesn't feel like she has his support.
Bobbi: You know, if you really truly wanted me happy. You would be supporting me right now. You wouldn't drop the hint every time the subject comes up how disappointed you are that I'm stepping back into the ring again.
Michael: Bobbi it's not like that...
Bobbi raises her hand, quick to cut him off.
Bobbi: Michael it IS like that! I have supported you every single step of the way in every facet of our lives. But over the past few months I can't help but feel like something has been missing for me. Something that will help make me whole again. Love it or hate it, when I was a wrestler...I felt COMPLETE! I felt WHOLE! Over the last few years? I feel like I've kinda lost that...and I want to get it back! I want you to be happy for me! I deserve to be happy!!!
The blonde is visibly getting upset as tears well up in her eyes a bit as Michael knows he crossed a line with his tired emotional wife. He gently embraces her, rubbing her back trying to calm her down.
Michael: Bobbi no matter what anyone tells you, you do deserve to be happy! And I do support you, I just worry about what might happen when you get into a heated rivalry again like you did with Susan Rigger. Remember when she pretty much took over your life and made it a living hell?
Bobbi: Yes....
Michael: And yes, I know you all eventually worked it out and things are good now with her for the most part, but now you have Susan's old partner in crime Dominique and her younger sister snooping around our home. They've been here a few times in the past week or so already. I'm worried you could run into another Susan situation all over again, but this time...even worse, and it scares me. I'm sorry.
Bobbi: Oh Michael...
Bobbi responds softly as she rests her head on his shoulder and sighs softly as she closes her eyes, a few tears stream down her cheeks as she knows full well the kind of risk she's taking stepping back into the ring, but it's really something that she wants to do. No matter the risk or the cost, the blonde beauty really just wants to feel complete again, and that's very hard to explain to someone else who doesn't understand. Bobbi eventually lifts her head off of his shoulder and looks him in the eyes before giving him a gentle kiss.
Bobbi: I know both of our careers have been crazy, we've been through A LOT of ups and downs together...but at the end of the day we have always remained united. I know my impending feud with the Frost sisters seems not only risky but downright dangerous...But I HAVE to do it!
Bobbi wipes her eyes and takes a deep breath before continuing.
Bobbi: If I let Dominique and her sister do whatever they want and walk all over me and ruin my return then they win. I didn't ask to be followed out of retirement. Dominique saw it and decided she was gonna be the snow storm on my return parade and is bringing her sister along for the ride, and if I don't stand up for myself they're going to walk all over me. I won't let that happen. I need to stand my ground and prove myself all over again. I just want your support while I do it...Please...?
Showtime sighs as he nods and gently brushes a strand of blonde hair out of Bobbi's face as he gives her a supportive nod and a smile.
Michael: You have my support, you have my love...and I know you'll do great.
Bobbi sniffs and returns his smile with one of her own.
Bobbi: Thank you...I really appreciate it.
Michael: Well you know what I would appreciate?
Bobbi: What's that?
Michael: If we could get some sleep?
Bobbi just rolls her eyes as she playfully punches him on the shoulder.
Bobbi: Fiiiiine! Lets try and get some sleep.
Michael: Thank you.
Bobbi reaches over and shuts off the light on the nightstand as the two lay back down in the bed in each others arms as the scene fades out.
{MONDAY AFTERNOON - 5:26PM}
We are taken into the den at the Showtime Mansion as Bobbi is sitting on the couch watching television, her feet kicked up across the couch with her computer on her lap as she's talking on her cell phone already in the middle of a conversation...
Bobbi: Yea I know, I can't believe I'm going to do it either. I hope you guys can come out and see it.....Uh huh.....yeah well maybe some day I can talk you all out of retirement as well.....
Bobbi laughs.
Bobbi: Hey you can't blame a girl for trying! I'll hold onto hope! Please tell Carmen I said hi. Hopefully the three of can get together soon and hang out, I promise I'll try not to talk about wrestling the entire time.....
Bobbi smiles at whatever is said.
Bobbi: It's a date, talk to you later Giselle. Love you all!
Bobbi clicks the cellphone off and sighs happily, while the blonde sees her best friends since high school in Carmen DeVega and Giselle Anderson almost on a weekly basis. She hasn't been able to nail down a time to meet up with them and talk since she decided to come out of retirement. She's just been SO busy, just having that time to settle down and reconnect with them did the blondes heart and mental state a world of good.
Bobbi: Today is going very well...almost too well...
Bobbi says looking around the room as she speaks to herself.
Bobbi: Just feels like one of those moments when Dominique and her annoying little sister would choose to barge in and ruin my day. Let me make sure they know that I have my guard up today...
Bobbi starts typing out a tweet and sends it as she laughs finding it quite funny, but within minutes the Frost sisters immediately start tweeting back at the blonde with the clear intention of trying to get under her skin. A mix of emotions come over the blonde beauty over the course of the next ten to twenty minutes as she goes back and forth with Dominique and Eliza on social media.
Things eventually get heated and Bobbi clearly has had enough as she situates her body and puts her feet on the floor.
Bobbi: If that's the way you want to play...Fine Eliza...Lets play!
Bobbi sends a stern tweet back challenging Eliza to come to her house tonight and put her money where her mouth is. Eliza accepts and Bobbi smiles as she sends the final tweet before shutting her laptop with a confident smile on her face.
Bobbi: We will see who schools who tonight.
The blonde says as she places the laptop on the coffee table before standing up and walks out of the room to prepare for Eliza's inevitable arrival as the scene fades out to black.
