After spending a few days in hospital with a concussion, Casey really is annoyed. This doing nothing really isn't her thing and she’s bored like hell. The first time she has spent with reading and watching TV, but now she really doesn't know anymore what to do. She lays in her bed and tries to relax, but it’s so boring and she becomes more and more nervous. Then she stands up and puts on her clothes. A few minutes later, she ie ready with packing her stuff, but right after she left her room, she bumps into a doctor. He raises an eyebrow.
“You should be in bed and recover. A concussion can be dangerous.”
But Casey sees this different.
“No way that I’ll stay here longer. I have a match in two weeks and I have better things to do than wasting my time in a hospital bed.”
"A match? No way. You shouldn’t do any sports for at least 4 weeks, so you better stay here. Otherwise we can’t guarantee that something will happen.”
But that doesn’t convince Casey and so she shakes her head.
“Forget it. I’m not in jail and I can leave here whenever I want.”
“But then it”s on your own risk.”
Casey only shrugs and signs the papers that she will leave the hospital on her own risk. Then she drives back home. The first day she tries to relax at home, but that doesn’t really work and so she goes to the gym to start her training again.
At first everything is ok. She does some cardio and besides a headache, she feels pretty good, but as she starts with the weight lifting, it is different. She feels a bit weak, her headache becomes stronger and after a while she feels dizzy and almost breaks down. So she puts away the weights, sits down and tries to catch her breath, but the next round isn’t better. At least she manages it to stay at the gym for the next hour, but then she almost breaks down. So she ends her training and stumbles to the locker room. After taking a shower, she feels a bit better, gets dressed and leaves the gym. But as she sits in her car, she feels dizzy again. Driving isn’t possible and so she calls a cab. Really frustrated, she climbs into the cab and drives home, then the scene fades to black.
