First things first, I want to say that I went with a shorter results format after I personally felt like I went overboard on the length for Final Encounter and I think this shorter format will prevent me from getting burnt out if I keep making shows that long for every event, along with getting shows done quicker as I was challenging myself to keep every match shorter, concise, and to the point.
Segment #1 -- Mary picks up Mariah at the airport
More following Mary and Mariah's back and forth relationship. I haven't decided on an endgame for Mary trying to get into Mariah's head like this yet, but for now, I'm just trying to get back into the swing of playing her regularly while she acts as the "devil" on Mariah's shoulder as of late. I ended this with a tease of the guest that they were picking up who would appear in the next bit on this show.
That would be Vi Malkov if you haven't read the show by now, which makes perfect sense that Mary would go out of her way to bring the Queen of Queens Champion to Primetime since she won her tournament after all.
Vixen Champion Blake Harper (w/ The Hellions) holds the Vixen Championship Celebration
When I discussed this with Athena and she sent in what she wanted to do here, I was perfectly happy with what she wanted to do there. Short, sweet, and do the point - pretty much the theme of this show's new format really. The only thing I fed her was the change from the Vixen title to the Women's Championship as to be perfectly honest, it makes more sense now that we have a new belt design after the title has been on the bench for so long.
I know people in and out of this fed aren't too crazy about the name "vixen" for the division, so yeah there was that to consider too. That's going to be a chore to cook up some new graphics to reflect this change in roster profiles/applications, so give me a while to cook up something.
Asking Vi. to collaborate with Athena on this was a very last second decision on my behalf to tease this now that we have a champion on both sides of the coin. I know I'm going to have to revise the rules in some fashion for the QoQ title since I know some of the entrants from Reinas have either fallen off the face of the Earth since that event or haven't been in contact with me at all since then, but I'm going to make this work for those who are still here or still available to take part in Vi's defenses coming up in the near future. Thanks again, Vi, for the VERY short notice to get you on board to do something for this show.
I definitely wanted to remind everyone that I haven't forgotten about Vi and her title and the fact that she can potentially face the Vixen Champion.
Singles Match
Justin Lockhart (debut) def. “Modern Day Warrior” Gabriel Wingue(w/ "Queen of Submission" Casey Cortez)
I dunno what happened to Patrick and ❤Knightmare INC for this show, but thank goodness Mel already sent in that Foxy segment a few weeks ago prior. I didn't mind giving Gabe a loss here as it plays into something else long term.
Speaking of which, this is totally unrelated I wanted to pitch something that I was thinking about after reading on Twitter a few weeks ago. I saw a few handlers knocking RP-based feds and was putting over Angle feds and I got to thinking, even though I was a little pissed off at their remarks. How about we officially adopt some Angle fed themes here. For example, some of you already collaborate and plot out your own feds and write some of your matches, so why not make this a Hybrid fed in a sense. I don't want to do that for title feuds, as I don't think that would be fair to both handlers, but I want to reward those of you (I've been doing this a lot lately TBH - especially on the past PPV) for your performance over the course of an entire storyline/feud instead of JUST your promo(s) for one match. That way, those of you who aren't as gifted novelists as some of our veterans on the roster can legitimately stand a chance to win titles and such with it being a more leveled playing field. I'm not going to start that overnight - I want to discuss it more in the comments below before I go with a full blown plan to make GZWA into a hybrid fed in the near-future.
Segment #2 -- Bobbi and The Frosts Come to Terms
Bobbi Jackson and TheFrosts , I know it wasn't your intention but damn this gave me writer's block on how to write your match later on this show. I was stomped on how to make them want to go through with the match after this. Don't worry, I figured it out by the end of this though.
I've been enjoying what you two (err three?) have been doing here though.
Singles Match
"Tattooed Beauty" Laura Jackson def. Jennifer Dunn
Like I mentioned when I cooked up the match card, I wanted to see how
@jennifer and Laura Jackson 's styles matched up. I had fun experimenting here and I think that I'm going to recommend a few moves for you both from a few of my personal favorite technical wrestlers to help you out if you want to expand/update your movesets. Jennifer's attack post-match was to keep the feud open or up in the air if you two would like to continue it from here.
Tag Team Match
Leon Torres and Amber Torres def. Fear Hollywood ("Hollywood A-Lister" The Miz & Jayson Heagerty)
Like I mentioned earlier, I don't know what happened to Patrick and ❤Knightmare INC as they are usually quick to jump on these deadlines. I merely followed up on their match-up from Final Encounter with DΔShΞR 's characters looking for payback for what went down. I dunno what are ya'll are planning next since I got nothing
Segment #3 -- Sam and Maryse
Samuel missed the Promo deadline but still wanted to send something in to contribute to the show.
I need to explain this better in the forum rules but I notice a lot of people don't take advantage for the fact that you can still contribute to the shows if you miss the first deadline. The Skit/Segment deadline exists for you can still get something in to keep your feuds going for it won't look like you're flaking out on your dancing partner(s) and/or leaving your feuds/rivalries dead in the water. If you're anything like me, I write most of my promos and stuff as segments anyway as I get anxiety/panic attacks thinking about deadlines.
Singles Match
“The Blonde Bombshell” Sarah Richardson def. Zora Graysen
sarahrichardson was panicking about the deadline on Saturday and I didn't think she did a bad promo at all. I was hoping that Zora Graysen would get something in for the show, but I can't remember if this was the week of her wedding IRL or not. In that regard, I can't blame her for missing the show as I had two older sisters get married and the planning for that will drive everyone in your family nuts, so she has my sympathy. We're gonna have to find Sarah someone to feud with or a storyline sooner more than later. Same for Zora when her handler gets back and out of her creative slump that we've been discussing.
Segment #4 -- Foxy Coming Soon?
❤Knightmare INC sent that in a few weeks ago. It was meant for Final Encounter's kick-off show that never happened (sorry Sam), so she sent it to me for use here since I never got it the first go round. At least I remembered her telling me not to book Foxy in any matches until this plays out over the next few shows.
Tag Team Match - Non-Title Match
GZWA Tag Team Champions The Honourable Princes ("The Iceman" Konrad Raab & "The Crown Prince" Samuel Chatman) def. GZWA World Heavyweight Champion "The Wraith" Ry Drake & "The Mountain" Rex Terrell (w/ “Queen of Submission” Casey Cortez) via DQ
I didn't want either team to be beaten clean here but at the same time, I wanted to give the Princes ("The Iceman" Konrad Raab & Samuel ) the win for their promos/segments. Casey (❤Rose❤ ) being aligned with Drake (BulletxToxThexHeart ) was a shock to me and I'm anxious to see where this goes. I added in that bit where Gabe ruins the match as I figure Casey and Gabe can have this revelation cause some complications in their relationship. As for the match, I was toying with a few things for the Princes as a team, namely with them using some of American Alpha's offense. I guess we'll cook up something concrete whenever you two do your official tag team profile for the Princes.
Speaking of ❤Rose❤ we didn't get to do a segment following up on Amanda being forced to answer to Xion from Final Encounter's revelation about her unpaid debts, but if we don't get time to do it for ReAction I'm going to put that on the top of my agenda to follow-up on for the next Primetime.
3-on-3 Tag Team Match
"The Bobbilicious One" Bobbi Jackson, "The Silver Screen Queen" Crystal Millar (in-ring debut), and "Showstoppin' Senorita" Mariah
def.
The Frosts (“The Dominiqtrix” Dominique and Eliza Frost) and "The Sexiest of the Sexy" Maryse Ouellet
After the bit earlier in the show between the Frosts and Bobbi, I knew I had to have that play out a bit here. MiMi and Crystal were more than willing to put up a fight, while the others were rather reluctant. I thought it would've been amusing to have the Frosts turn on Maryse as I figure that how this would've played out anyway as their personalities would have clashed. At the same time, it maintains the Frosts "truce" with Bobbi (for now it seems).
Singles Match
"The Georgia Peach" Morgan Davis def. Missy Sippy
For the commentary at the beginning, I wasn't even going to mention @missysippy 's comments in her promo because I busted out laughing (I'm black IRL FYI and it didn't offend me) when I read it until @❀ℋine 'ea❀ had Morgan mention it on Twitter in-character. I hope Morgan's not mad OOC as I'm positive Missy didn't mean any harm, but in either case, that's the main reason I wanted to see a match between these two "Southern" gimmicks, especially that's where I'm native from in the US. Reminds me of the Smokey Mountain Wrestling stuff where Jim Cornette would encourage guys like New Jack and others to put the envelope on pissing people off with borderline offensive remarks that definitely wouldn't fly nowadays.
A lot of the spots here was me having fun and I hope you both enjoyed the read because I had a blast writing this. This is a feud I would love to revisit again if you two want to do something concrete. The promos between you both made me smile as I could see this as one of those old school feuds. Wishful thinking I know.
Singles Match
Ursula Areano def. “The Billion Dollar Bitch” Susie Price after referee reverses decision
Not gonna lie. I was looking for an excuse to use that Taeler Hendrix gif there. Loved her as part of the House of Truth stable when Jay Lethal was champion on ROH. Susie Price had a segment in mind but I asked her to save it for the next show as I'm totally digging this Dr. Doom/Calendar Girl (Batman TAS) vibe she has going for Susie's "transformation" after her loss. Much like the match before this one, I enjoyed seeing how your styles meshed together here. From talking to both Talia Areano and Susie Price privately, I know you two tend to doubt your craft a lot but you're both talented. I hope you both come back to potentially doing something with each other again. I doubt Susie's done with Missy so that's just something to think about down the road I guess.
Main Event: 2-on-1 Handicap Match
"Hardcore Monster" Carnage def. The Enforcers (G-Money Briggs & Dequan Wallace; w/ Veda Scott)
The pre-match interview I was originally going to do something lengthy with the Enforcers, Veda, Xion, and potentially Brooklyn, but I axed that idea at the last second in order to keep this simple. I can explain Xion's actions in depth over time. The focus here had to be on Carnage wanting to get his revenge anyway.
Once again I credit the finish here to Carnage . All kudos go to him. To be honest, I'm hoping Carnage comes back and does this to Xion
Segment #1 -- Mary picks up Mariah at the airport
More following Mary and Mariah's back and forth relationship.
