After the events that have transpired during ReAction, the Mega Busters managed to escape the Enforcers' wrath and have been on the run. At an undisclosed location, the trio has checked into a local hotel for the night since they still have a few hours on the road to make it to Los Angeles on-time for the upcoming episode of Primetime on Monday.
Ashleigh Cash sat at the vanity mirror combing her hair while Matthew Miles sat on the edge of the bed channel surfing. Kevin Allen, better known as Psycho Sagus, has been frantically searching the room. The closet and drawers have been emptied out and stripped down while he is currently checking underneath the beds.
Ashleigh rolls her eyes and stops combing her hair for a moment to finally say something since her boyfriend wasn't going to say anything about his best friend's odd behavior.
"Okay, since Matt is completely oblivious to this right now, I guess I'm going to have to be sensible one around here and say something about this. Kevin, what IS your freakin' deal? You've been at this ever since we checked into this hotel about an hour ago."
Kevin stuck his head up to look at Ashleigh, "I don't get how you two are so calm after what we went through. We almost DIED trying to get away from the Enforcers."
Matt chimes in, "Dude, we got you a pack of new boxers from K-Mart and some of those adult diapers if you have another 'accident'. We left them in the dust like a week ago. We haven't seen a sign of those guys for at least a week now. Quit being a pussy about this, Kevin. You're acting like G and Dequan are the Boogeyman or something. This isn't high school where they are going to give us swirlies in the bathroom or lock us in our lockers in gym class."
Ashleigh adds, "More importantly, we're on the 4th floor. It's not like anyone is going to climb up the walls like Spider-Man and bust up in here like Jason Voorhees or Freddie Krueger."
Kevin shook his head, "Nah, man, I haven't been able to sleep right since that night."
"Are you sure? You were snoring so loud in the car earlier that we put your socks in your mouth to shut you up."
Kevin stutters, "I-ummm have a breathing problem, okay? That was just a power nap. I was drained after shiny farming on Pokemon XY. It was SOOO worth it too. FINALLY got my shiny Garchomp."
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door and Kevin jumps so high up into the air with terror that he almost hits the ceiling. He makes a break for the window for his escape, but Kevin found himself face-planting into the carpet as Matt casually trips him up.
Ashleigh sighs loudly and answers the door, "Relax. It's just the room service I ordered."
Ashleigh opened the door and paid the delivery boy at the door for the boxes of pizza that he brought in and put on the counter.
"Thank you so much. Here's a tip for the speedy delivery." She handed the teenager an extra $20 bill for their trouble and saw him out of the door.
"No, thank YOU, ma'am! Best tip I got all night! Would it be too much to ask to get a picture with you guys? We don't get many wrestlers or celebrities period coming through these parts. Talk about the luck tonight that I get to meet you guys in person!"
Matthew looks away from the television and nods back at Ashleigh, "Let the kid stay for a bit. We would've done the same thing back in the day. Don't mind, Kevin. He was down there just finishing up his work-out routine."
Kevin grumbles from the floor, "Yeah... what he said."
Ashleigh passes the box of pizza round the room, allowing everyone to take a slice. She and their guest join Matt sitting on the edge of one of the two beds as they ate their slices.
Matt looked at their guest and asked, "So what's your name, kid?"
The teenager swallowed a bit of his pizza and replied, "Jimmy... Jimmy Lee."
Kevin exclaims, "By any chance you have a brother named Billy?"
Jimmy shook his head, "Unfortunately not."
Kevin shook his head, "Epic fail. You two could have been a Double Dragon tag team. The writing sells itself."
Matt elbows Kevin, "C'mon man. That's older than the kid. No way he's heard of that."
Jimmy laughs, "Actually I have. My dad has a lot of the old games since he used to be a big collector."
Kevin began singing the lyrics to the cartoon theme song in the background as they continued to chat.
"To be Dragon you gotta be strong, humble, never braggin'..."
Ashleigh shook her head, "Just ignore him. He's always like that."
Jimmy grins, "I don't mind. I think it's pretty cool. Mind if I ask you guys a question?"
Matt bites into another slice of pizza and swallows, "Go ahead, shoot."
Jimmy asks, "It was cool to see you guys come back at the end of the last Primetime and finally give those Enforcers what they've had coming for months now, but now what? You know they are going to want payback, but I saw that they aren't even on the show on Monday. You're facing those new guys, the Hellions. How do you prepare for someone you've never faced before?"
Kevin sings, "Always fight for right, battling wrong with the power of the Dragon!"
Matt chuckles, "Uhhh... not quite like that, but we're confident about our chances against those guys. They were allowed to gang up on CM Punk and that was his downfall for agreeing to such a match. In our case, it's fair and square. We aren't Fear Hollywood with a chip on our shoulders nor are we the Torres couple, who seem to underestimate everyone they step into the ring with. No, we're going to stay on our toes and check out some of their MMA matches to get a feel of what to expect out there since they haven't had many matches here in GZWA yet. They could do some thorough research on us, but that doesn't mean anything when they've never actually stepped into the ring with us."
Ashleigh adds, "If that's not enough, I'll be there for moral support as usual."
Matt glances back at her, "Uhhh, babe? We discussed this already. We don't you anywhere near the ring after what happened on ReAction."
Jimmy looks surprised, "Wait, you think the Enforcers will try to ruin your match, looking for payback?"
Matt nods, "Sadly, so. Those guys don't have any sense of honor. We don't know when they are going to strike. That's why we have to have eyes in the back of our heads at all times."
Jimmy looks back at Ashleigh, "So what are you going to do in the meantime?"
Kevin keeps singing, "Live the code, the code of the Dragon! Fight for might, the code of the Dragon! With the mark, the mark of the Dragon!"
Ashleigh throws her shoe at Kevin, nailing him directly in the head and knocking him to the floor behind the bed.
Ashleigh shrugs, "I dunno. I'll find something to fill the time. I just don't like leaving my boys hanging out to dry, but this is for the best. People have a knack for trying to exploit me as their weakness so I agree with Kevin and Matt about staying out of the line of fire. Who knows, I could show up and even the odds when the Enforcers least expect it."
Jimmy looks at his watch, "Thanks for letting me join you guys but I best be going. I don't want to lose this gig. Don't mind if I get that photo with you guys before I go?"
Matt and Ashleigh smile and stand with Jimmy as he snaps a selfie as Kevin gives a thumbs up from the floor behind the bed.
Jimmy exclaims, "AWESOME! Thanks so much! Good luck on Primetime too, not that you guys need it!"
Matt and Ashleigh saw Jimmy out of the door as Kevin could be heard rambling, "Splinter taught them to be ninja teens! He's a radical rat!" from the floor.
Jimmy looked concerned, "Shouldn't you guys get him some help?"
Matt shook his head, "Nah, he'll be fine after a nap down for a few hours."
Ashleigh and Jimmy share a laugh as the scene fades to black.
