The scene opens inside of the Cash family household with Ashleigh snapping a selfie before crawling into bed.
Ashleigh retreated back home for a few days for the 4th of July holiday since GZWA was on break. She wanted to spend that precious time with her family since she spent most of her time on the road with Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus. Besides, nothing beats sleeping in your own bed for once instead of a hotel room or in the backseat of whatever rental car they managed to check out to get to the next town. After a long day of visiting her relatives and ending with an elegant dinner to top things off, the Cash family were spent. Everyone in the house was asleep - Ashleigh’s parents were sound asleep with the same going for her kid brother, Aaron. Ashleigh was asleep herself, only to be stirred awake by the sound of someone throwing pebbles at her window. Ashleigh opens the window to see what the commotion was and is surprised to see who was standing in the driveway - none other than the woman who calls herself Alice Shadow.
Alice returns from a long stay finding herself, after a end to her quickie marriage to Susan, a period of self harm and drug addiction. She honestly didn't know if she would be welcomed back. Not having contact with anyone allowed can cause you to go crazy. Even a few escape attempts. Now with a new job, a car to sleep in, and a decent amount of money she decided to see her best friend in the world Ashleigh Cash. (Alice knocked on the front door and waited outside)
Ashleigh opened the door rubbing her eyes since it was rather early in the morning and the rest of the family was still asleep. She thought she saw Alice from her haze upstairs, but dismissed it as her imagination when she went to answer the door. She was already annoyed that someone would be visiting at this ungodly hour. Upon seeing Alice face-to-face and realizing that this wasn’t a dream at all, Ashleigh was instantly filled with raw emotion. She reacted the only way she knew how and decked Alice to the ground with a fierce haymaker. She stepped out on the front porch, shutting the door behind her.
"How dare you come back here after you've just abandoned me and my brother??? Aaron was devastated."
Ash stood there visibly shaking because she was so angry while Alice hugged her. She couldn't believe or process any of it. She did the only thing she could. She collapsed into Alice's frame and hugged her back with tears running down her face.
She beat her on the chest in frustration, "I thought it was my fault. That I wasn't good enough of a friend. I thought I drove you away to do something crazy. I thought it was my fault that you never came back..."
Alice held her best friend close and kissed her cheek. "Hell no cutie. You're the best friend I've ever had. You and Aaron saved my life several times." Alice wiped away her tears "Don't cry I'm here and not leaving. But if you're up for a sleepover, I can go get some soda. See the old Alice would have said alcohol."
Ashleigh weakly punched her in the shoulder. "Stop, I just believed that you were capable of great things and could shake those bad habits." She sniffed, "Sleepover? MiMi's gonna kill me if I'm late for training. She's already going to kill you if she knows you're back and never came back to training."
Alice smiled "That's why I love you girl, but I think my true passion is training. Hopefully MiMi sees I got my shit together and let's me train." Alice pointed to her car "That's where I've been sleeping. So a sleepover would be nice. I'm in the best shape of my life. There will be plenty of room in your bed. Plus I could see my husband in the morning and let him know he didn't do nothing bad." Alice said before hugging her again.
Defeated, Ash sighs loudly, "You can stay the night but you're gonna have to be quiet. Everyone's already sleeping. I'll get us some more blankets and you can bring your bag up to my room." She grinned, "Your husband? I dunno about that. He's gotten really attached to his little friends in the neighborhood after you leaving hit him so hard."
Alice gasped, "Are these little friends girls? If not I can win him back. But I am always quiet!" Alice smirked at that comment.
Ash nodded, "One or two of them yes... You got some competition in that department, Alice. You're going to have to win him back... if he'll have you after all of this time."
Alice pouts, "You're so cruel."
"Oh c'mon... I'm going easy on you after all that you put me through after that disappearing act that you pulled!"
"Fair enough. I'm willing to play the waiting game to get my little husband back."
Fast forward a few days later...
It’s the morning before GZWA Primetime and Ashleigh sneaks up to the hotel room that Kevin (Psycho Sagus) and Matthew Miles were staying at. Of course, she manages to get an extra key from the front desk since Miles told them that his girlfriend was coming by to make sure they were getting ready for the show. Like the lovable goofs that the GZWA Nation know them for, Matt and Kevin are steady asleep in their twin beds with empty pizza boxes on the couch and over on the floor while their PlayStation 4 remained hooked up to the TV as they snore loudly. Obviously they spent the night gaming instead of going to bed at a proper hour to be up in time for preparing for tonight’s match.
Ashleigh glanced at the mess scattered about the room and shook her head.
“Boys will be boys.”
Alice grinned as she stood out in the hallway leaning against the wall.
Ashleigh whispered, “Stay out here until I give you the signal to come in. Okay?”
Alice merely nodded as Ashleigh went back into the room with a bucket in hand. She chucked the contents at each of the boys sleeping to wake them up with a shower of unexpected water.
“Rise and shine, boys. I’m here to make sure your heads are in the right places to face the Frosts tonight.”
Kevin mumbles, “I know exactly where I want my head to be during that match… I know that for a fact. A guy can only go so long without craving something after not seeing their girlfriend in so long…”
Ashleigh poured the remainder of water onto Kevin’s head, “Cool your jets, you horndog. You don’t have a chance of being in their league anyway. Bobbi’s dating Eliza and I wouldn’t be surprised if Dominique is in that action some way or another anyway. Who knows what goes down in the Showtime mansion…”
Matt grinned, “I bet it trumps the performances at the Showtime at the Apollo Theater! That’s for sure.”
Ashleigh facepalms, “What exactly AM I going to do with you two? You know I can’t be out there to help you tonight since I’m going to be in that Gauntlet Match, so you’re going to have to be on your A game against these girls. They cannot be taken lightly. Bobbi Jackson is a former champion in her own right from Ring of Beauty with the Frost siblings coming from there as well. They wouldn’t be this eager to compete in the tag team division if they weren’t confident that they could take on male AND female competition. Matt, I know I don’t have to worry about you allowing three different babes distract you when you have me to come home to after your match…”
Matt snaps out of his daydreaming, “Huh, what now?”
Ashleigh growls at him, “Grrrrr….”
Matt grins, “Babe, you know I was kidding. You’re the only babe for me. Now Kevin on the other hand, I’m going to need a leash or something. I can see him literally drooling and foaming at the mouth there at the thought of that match tonight more than when someone mentions puppies around Carter.”
Kevin shook his head, “Nah, bro. I was thinking about that delicious pizza we had last night until I realized we ate it all before last night during that late night Destiny raid. Now I wouldn’t have any problem with anyone slipping Dominique my phone number after the match... I doesn’t hurt to keep my options open when I haven’t heard from my girlfriend in months.”
Ashleigh shook her head again, “Ugh… boys. Do you two seriously don’t have an idea or a coherent strategy for tonight at all?”
Matt scratches his head, “Well, we had one thing, but I dunno if it’s going to work. Besides man… Kev how are you going to be giving out your phone number when you still got a girl?”
Kevin exclaims, “I didn’t say I would do it. You would do me a solid and hand it off as a friendly gesture. I could always use more Friend Codes for my Wii U and 3DS.”
At this point, Alice has heard enough. She storms into the room.
“I’m SOOO telling my sister that you’re in here scheming on how to replace her while she’s playing soccer overseas.”
Matt and Kevin stood there speechless while Ashleigh and Alice looked at each other confused. Ashleigh broke the silence between them by asking, “What is wrong with you two? You look like you’ve seen a ghost or something!”
They ran past her and sandwiched Alice between them in a big hug.
Matt laughs, “A ghost? We’re just happy to see your pale as a ghost bestie back. Goddammit, we’re glad you’re back Alice. Ashleigh has been in such a sour mood lately since you left. She was even ready to pick a fight with Mary’s scary ass. We’re really glad to see you’re back, safe, and sound.”
Ashleigh rubbed her jaw, “I did and I lived to tell about it too. I’m not scared of that bitch.”
Alice smirks, “My Lil’ Slugger hasn’t lost her touch I see… and Kevin, you’re SOOO not off the hook. I’m going to rat you out the next time I chat with her on Skype… unless you do me a favor.”
Kevin gets on his knees pleading with Alice, “Anything, name it!”
Alice taps her finger on her chin, “I want a copy of the Friday the 13th Video Game… and I want in you two’s little guild on Destiny. I want some sweet gear for my character too. Destiny 2 is right around the corner.”
Kevin sighs loudly, “Consider it done…”
Matthew has a eureka moment as he has epiphany over what they could do for their tag team match tonight. He shoves Kevin and hugs Alice again, “I can’t believe I haven’t thought of this sooner. It won’t matter which two of the Frosts or Bobbi that we face tonight. I got a brilliant idea to throw them off their game.”
Kevin scratches his head confused, “I don’t get it. What are you talking about, dude?”
Matt calmly states, “Think about it - Alice in Wonderland.”
Kevin’s eyes widen as the light bulb goes off in his head as well.
“I still have the gear in my bag for shits and giggles but I didn’t think that you’d ever want to bring that up in one of our Primetime matches! DUDE!!!! This is going to be awesome!”
They race into the bathroom to get dressed, leaving Alice and Ashleigh looking at each other confused once again. Ashleigh picks up a picture that fell out of their bags and looked over it with Alice leaning over her shoulder.
Matthew could be heard from the bathroom, “We’re going to make Bobbi and the Frosts follow the White Rabbit.”
Alice chuckles, “PLEASE tell me you’re going to let me see this shit tonight…”
Ashleigh facepalms, “Ugh, fine, but you’re definitely there to cheer me on first before those two go out there and embarrass themselves.”
Alice whispers, “Of course, but I already texted my sister to watch the show live tonight to see this first-hand herself!”
