OOC Note: I originally was going to use this as a segment within the results and I started outlining the PPV and went, "Nevermind. This is better separate from the show." Kudos to anyone who gets all of the nerdy references here.
The scene opens within a typical Shoney’s restaurant where our three protagonists are recapping their latest adventure from the last episode of Primetime to Ashleigh’s best friend and sister to Kevin Allen’s (Psycho Sagus) girlfriend and former GZWA Vixen Ashley Wonder, Alice Shadow.
Kevin: “So that’s how I toppled the Enforcers…”
Matthew Miles: “With my quick thinking…”
Ashleigh Cash: “Hey! I helped too! I kept that goon distracted for you two monkey boys could work your magic!”
Kevin sighs and corrected himself, “That’s how WE toppled the Enforcers on Primetime…”
Alice: “Uhhh, don’t you guys have to do that again at the Pay-Per-View? You seem too relaxed to stay that these guys have a made a reputation of beating you guys up royally over the years. The fight seems to be far from over. You know they aren’t going to take that loss lightly.”
Ashleigh: “Yeah, that’s what I have been trying to tell them that but they won’t listen to me. The only thing they have been preoccupied with is doing more daily raids on Destiny 2 or playing randoms online on Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.”
Matt adds, “Whenever Kevin’s not making kissy faces at his laptop when on Skype with your sister…”
Kevin retorts, “And whenever you and Ash aren’t sucking face or making out in the hotel bathroom…”
Matt and Ashleigh’s faces go red with embarrassment as Ashleigh’s temper takes over and tosses her drink into Kevin’s face to Alice’s delight.
Alice: “Or whenever Kevin isn't staring at my tits or ass…”
Kevin: “I can’t help it! You have ‘em always on the display all the time! Ashley said you love teasing me like that!”
Matt: “Even Ray Charles can see that Alice is a total tease, bro. Just don’t fall for it like that prank almost everyone on the roster has pulled on you with that plate of ‘FREE COOKIES’ in the cafeteria that have laxative in them.”
Kevin: “But, but, but ---”
With that, Alice stood up from her seat and flashes Kevin with a peek of her thong by pulling down her pants halfway down from covering her ample rear end.
Kevin immediately nervously looks away with his hands covering his face. “That’s NOT what I meant!”
Alice: “I thought that’s the butts that you were aiming for…”
She removes his hands from his face to reveal that she’s not wearing any clothing when Kevin’s girlfriend walks in and exclaims, “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!??”
Kevin shouts, “I’M FED UP WITH THIS ORGASM!”
Matt smacks Kevin across the back of his head as he jumps in his seat, looking around in a panic.
Kevin: “Oh god, I made a horrible mistake!”
Matt: “I told you to keep an eye on your punch in the cafeteria at catering last night…”
Kevin: “You didn’t see it? TELL ME YOU SAW IT TOO!!”
Matt: “Saw what? What the HELL are you talking about?”
Kevin: “I saw Alice… she was naked as a newborn baby.”
For a moment there’s awkward silence… until it’s broken by Ashleigh’s hysterical laughter in the background.
Matt slaps Kevin across the face, “Dude, chill the fuck out. You passed out into your food after someone spiked your punch with godknowswhat and I carried you to the car and we’ve been driving to the next town all night. I drove all night while you and Ashleigh were sleeping and now I tagged out to her.”
Kevin: “What about Shoney’s? I thought we were going to Shoney’s!!”
Ashleigh speaks up, “After you pulled a Morty by passing out into your plate of spaghetti, we figured it would be best to just get ahead of ourselves and just make the drive to the next town. That way we’d have plenty of time to unwind and relax before the show.”
Kevin: “What about Alice? I thought she was coming?”
Ashleigh: “Nah, she had something come up with her girlfriend, so we couldn’t all hang out anyway after the show. I’m TOTALLY telling her that you were dreaming naughty thoughts about her though. I’m sure she’ll get a kick out of that.”
Matt adds, “I bet if that dream lasted any longer you’d be the one ‘coming’, eh Kev?”
Kevin: “Ugh…”
Matt: “But Shoney’s though, man? You really need to stop watching those 24 hour streams of Rick and Morty. Ashleigh would kill us for taking her to a Shoney’s of all places to eat dinner after work.”
Ashleigh: “This is true, but I don’t mind our late night Waffle House runs from over the years though. It’s like our tradition, y’know?”
A Few Weeks Later…
2 Days before Devils May Cry
As part of the promotional weekend leading up to Devils May Cry, the Mega Busters are doing a meet and greet that has a short Q & A (question and answer) panel for the fans in attendance.
Fan #1 - “This question is for all three of you, What do you guys think of Destiny 2?”
Ashleigh: “To be honest, I absolutely hated the first one, but I’m as crazy about this new one as the boys are.”
Matt: “That’s a no brainer. We love it.”
Kevin: “We play with just about anyone online so if you see us online, feel free to join us for some raids. Just keep an eye out when we go live on Twitch TV to stream our games.”
Fan #2 - This question is for you, Ms. Cash. When are you and Matthew Miles getting married?
Matt and Ash’s faces immediately go red.
Ashleigh looks towards Matt while Kevin playfully nudges him, “YEAH, Matt, when are we getting married?”
Matt shifts in his chair nervously, “Good things happen to those who wait. Who knows, maybe sooner may be a lot closer than later.”
Ashleigh smirks, “Don’t make me wait too long handsome or I’m going to have to leave you for another loveable gamer geek. Seems like there’s more than enough to pick from in the crowd tonight too. Hmmm…”
Several guys in the crowd cheer in response.
Matt: “Hey!”
Fan #3 - This is for Psycho Sagus, any chance of your girlfriend Ashley Wonder coming back to GZWA?
Kevin shrugs his shoulders, “I honestly don’t know. We all know about how she dropped everything and went overseas to play soccer in the United Kingdom. I support her in everything that she puts her mind towards, even if it means that she’s not here with us in GZWA. The next time I chat with her on Skype, I will definitely let her know that she’s still got fans in the GZWA Nation for sure.”
Fan #4 - Whatchu gonna do when the Mega Busters catch dem hands at Devils May Cry from the Enforcers?
There’s no “fan” in question, but merely the fans being shoved aside to make way for the Enforcers coming through the crowd. They brush past security to make their way up to the stage where the Mega Busters are sitting.
Dequan Wallace continues, “Exactly what ARE you pussies - and we don’t mean your bitch right there - going to do when you step into the ring with all of this thugnificence?”
Matt: “Funny, the only bitch I see here is YOU, home slice. As for your question, we’re confident that we’re going to walk away with another win. Y’know, just like we did on Primetime a few weeks ago. ”
Dequan Wallace steps forward, “Y’know, I don’t have any problem embarrassing you in front of yo’ girl.”
Ashleigh stood up and kicked him in the shin, “Language, boys! We are trying to keep our PG rating for this Q & A session!”
G-Money Briggs shrugs, “Fine, but just remember we’re squashing this between us and you three literally come Devils May Cry. It’s all fun and games now, but the second that bell rings it’s going to be on like a pot of neckbones.”
Ashleigh looks confused, “Neckbones?”
Kevin smirked nudging G-Money, “It’s a black thing. Amirite?”
G-Money shoved Kevin back to his seat, “There won’t be no extra lives nor continues when you lose this game… It’s just going to be flat out game over for you boys.”
Matt shrugged, “Business as usual then? Sounds like the same ol’ song and dance to me. We’ve been at each other's’ throats for the majority of our careers in and out of GZWA. This ain’t the first time we’ve crossed plans and I’m sure it won’t be the last. We can attempt to hash out our differences at Devils May Cry, but how about you boys join us for the rest for this panel and answer a few questions?”
G-Money and Dequan look at each other before shrugging their shoulders and pulling up two seats at the table.
“Shoot, you nerds better make this worth our time.”
Fan #5 - “This question is for the Enforcers, are you guys really related to Raven?”
Dequan busts out laughing, “We’re as much related to her and D-Mob as the Dudley Boys to each other.”
G-Money adds, “In other words, no. We had fun with that bit, but can’t say that’s one family tree we would like to be tied to.”
Kevin: “In the words of Buster and Babs Bunny, no relation.”
Fan #6 - “I like to follow up that last question with one for Miss Cash. Is it true that you wrestled as Xion Zeros’ adopted sister in your early years of your career?”
Ashleigh chuckles, “I was hoping that people forgot about that to be honest. Of course, we’re not related, but I was honored to be chosen for that role when he was at the top of his game in his wrestling career. Looking back, that seems like a lifetime ago, but I had a lot of fun learning from a lot of vets when I was so young into my career.”
Fan #7 - “This question is for Dequan Wallace, did you ever end your long-time rivalry with Xion Zeros’ best friend, T-Bone?”
Dequan shook his head, “That fool is bitch made. He doesn’t want any of this beatdown that’s pending for him. He knows that I’m ready 24/7 he just has to name a time and a place, but nooooo, he’s ‘retired’. You’d have to ask him in person when that’s going to happen."
Kevin: “We got time for one more question, folks. Don’t hold back and make it a good one to end on.”
Fan #8 - “You guys said to make it good, so here’s one to knock it out of the ballpark. Who’s going to win at Devils May Cry?”
Both teams reply in unison with “We are!” to each other’s dismay. The Enforcers and Mega Busters both stood up and glare at each other, only for Ashleigh Cash stand between them before things got physical. Dequan Wallace shoves her aside, thus igniting a brawl between these two teams. This skirmish doesn’t last long as the Enforcers quickly get the upperhand. This exchange doesn’t end well for the Mega Busters as G-Money Briggs and Dequan Wallace send Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus crashing through the very same table that they were signing autographs on and sitting in front of mere moments prior.
Dequan Wallace waves to Ashleigh Cash as she crawling over to her team’s side as they laid among the debris as the fans looking on gasping at what has transpired.
“See ya’ at the show, boys.”
OOC: I'm sure Alice's handler on Twitter will appreciate my fix/improv for not being able to collaborate on this on the first half. I didn't want to write her character with her permission since I have no idea how to play her properly.
