For those who are new to the fed or making your return/debuts on the past episode of Primetime, this is our post-show open discussion thread where you guys get to see the methods behind my madness that goes into the results, where you can see where I'm going in terms of storylines and weigh in what did you think.
First off, I gotta apologize with the wait on results going up. Vinnie already volunteered to help with the next show, but if more people want to jump on-board being match writers, then I'm all for it. After the last month of not being able to concentrate on anything properly, I need to remedy this lack of match writers issue ASAP. It's not doing anyone any favors when I'm the only full-time writer that we have.
Secondly, since I keep getting questions about it, I'm postponing the transition to being hybrid until further notice. We've had a lot of returns and new faces joining us lately and I don't want to change up anything too drastically as we're winding down with the year.
Opening Segment saw Amanda Cortez forfeit the World Heavyweight Championship to the GZWA Chairman Xion Zeros, despite the pleas from Mariah. Xion took the title and informed Amanda that she wasn't off the hook before goading her into attacking her (half) sister to show her loyalty.
❤Rose❤ and I wrote this in Google Docs almost immediately following the moment the DMC results were posted. I wanted Mariah in this segment as she's the most "sensible" of the Cruz siblings and she never seems to have something to say about Amanda's actions. Obviously, we're going to take this where Amanda and Mariah are going to be forced to face each other again against their will. Amanda and MiMi haven't fought each other since the old ZXWWF days, so I think we could have some fun out of this.
The bit with Casey confronting Xion after this segment went down was my idea as I gave Amanda feedback about how I personally feel that Amanda and Casey should be like day and night in terms of their personalities. Amanda is child-like and irrational at times but Casey is easily goal driven and rational. That was a great polarizing segment to portray that.
Chance Justice def. Equinox
❤Knightmare INC got the win after KingOfHighSpots was unable to submit a roleplay for the show.
Senor Vinnie (in-ring debut) def.Weapon-23 Ryan Kendrick (return) after a distraction from the Enforcers
I knew about Squall Leonhart 's return for some time now and he asked to make his return on his show. senorvinnie kindly asked me to reveal the identity of his opponent, but I didn't toss him a bone on that one. I applaud Vinnie for being a good sport in that regard. I went with the distraction finish as I didn't want a "clean" victory in Kendrick's return match, plus this way, Vinnie gets the win here while simultaneously Kendrick has a reason to get back into the fight against the Machine.
Zabrina Masters (w/ Morgan Adams) def. Sarah Richardson
I'm going to have to go back and edit this but Morgan Adams informed me on Twitter that I wasn't supposed to reveal her identity yet in this match. It's just supposed to be a hooded figure, so act like you guys didn't see that. The Grand Zabrina and sarahrichardson both didn't roleplay for this show so I went with WWE's typical 50/50 booking. Sarah got the win at the PPV and Zabrina got the win here in the follow-up rematch. With this tied, they got something to work with going forward.
Konrad Raab def. Jayson Heagerty, Justin Lockhart, and Samuel Chatman
I have to admit that I loved reading Patrick and "The Iceman" Konrad Raab 's promos for this match. Another show and Samuel is nowhere to be found. That made this an easy choice to decide on who was taking the fall here. I think it's an unanimous decision that everyone in this match where everyone is going in their own separate directions after this match, am I correct?
GZWA Tag Team Champions Bobbi Jackson and Eliza Frost (w/ Dominique Frost) def. Talia Areano and Crystal Millar in a non-title match
Talia Areano roleplayed for the match but Crystal was nowhere to be found I made sure not to punish Talia here in the result so she wasn't the one pinned as Bobbi Jackson and TheFrosts teamwork was on display here. I wasn't sure if Talia was willing to continue going with tag team matches or not, but IMO it wouldn't hurt with the Stardom Tag Team Classic right around the corner. Obviously, the reigning tag team champions are already in the tournament.
Lily Evol (w/ Brooklyn Glamorous) def. Laura Jackson via DQ
SinCityDollz gave me those actions from Brooklyn to put into the details before and after this match to play off her arrogance and demeanor. She hasn't posted a moveset for Lily Evol but I pretty much assumed that she fights similar to Nia Jax. For storyline purposes, I didn't want Laura Jackson to lose here as I think her and Brooklyn can stretch this out in terms of a feud/storyline narrative. That's why I went for the DQ finish as it fits in Laura's character that she'd do anything to win and she wasn't going to back down to Brooklyn, especially given their past in various e-feds.
Xion Zeros speaks on the fate of the World Heavyweight Championship & the Stardom Tag Team Classic
I didn't want to pull a WWE and make you guys wait until the next episode on what he's going to do the World HW title. This way you guys (and gals who are interested) have a long term goal in mind. Athena and I agreed to just go with Christy Hemme being Adrianne Taylor's picbase since we're scrapping the real life wrestlers to keep things simple.
The Mega Busters def. The Enforcers and Ry Drake & Rex Terrell
TBH I didn't want to write in the Mega Busters as the winners of this match since they already beat the Enforcers clean at Devils May Cry. BulletxToxThexHeart posted a promo after the deadline, so I was kinda left without a choice. Regardless of that, I tried to make this a fun read with a lot of spots. ❤Knightmare INC I wasn't sure if you wanted Skylar to get involved or not so I left her out of the action.
Queen of Queens Championship Match - Vi Malkov (c) def. Milana Radek (w/ The Beautification Movement) to retain
A lot of time went into tracking down what happened to Milana Radek's handler on how to tackle her character(s) for this match as I don't have a moveset for her so I had to get a ton of input that made this match a chore to write. Once again I have to applaud Vi. for coming through here on the deadlines, despite me cooking up this match on short notice after the PPV and countless setbacks to get everyone on the same page on what was going on in terms of setting this up. I have to check the records, but I think we're starting to run out of Reinas competitors from last year to throw at Vi, huh?
