RP #1 @ 1458 wrds, Opponent: Molly Holly, For Show: Primetime 1/7/11
(the camera fades from black to a scene of a beach with the waves of the Pacific ocean lapping on its shore. The day is overcast/foggy, as per usual on Ocean Beach in San Francisco and the way the camera is facing we see a lone figure sitting cross legged towards the ocean and in the distance in the ocean is a huge Freighter/Tanker going by, albeit rather slowly. Also, as per usual, the waves by the shore are heavy and they break about a couple of feet before the actual coastline but there are surfers in these waves still trying to get a good wave and every once in a while, one of the surfers manages to catch a good wave and ride it in. The camera pans around and we see miles and miles of long beach. People are everywhere on the beach but because Ocean Beach is so huge, it looks like the beach is semi deserted. The camera pans back to the lone figure sitting on the beach and pans closer to the figure. When it gets closer we see that the figure is Vespertine. The camera goes to her side and we see she is looking out to sea. She is wearing purple sweat pants with that white line down the side, a green spaghetti strap tank top with a low V down the front and a grey hoodie sweatshirt. She sits on a beach blanket and is barefoot. But her feet are semi wrapped in the sand and now she has her knees up in front of her. It’s very windy and every so often, the wind catches her hair and flits about with it before dying down. She turns to look at the camera and addresses it.)
V: I love the ocean. For me, it doesn’t just signify water lapping on the shore, or man’s final frontier. No. You have to be figurative to look at the ocean. What do you see? (she shrugs) I guess it all depends on the person who answers the question. I won’t put words in everyone’s mouth on what you see when you look at the ocean but what I see is this: the future. And the shore is where we are now. You stand on the shore and go into the ocean and like the future you go in and either drown or stay afloat.
(she pauses)
V: Kinda fitting don’t you think. In wrestling, once you are in, you ARE in. You can either drown or stay afloat or you can conquer the sea entirely and become the World Heavyweight Champion. This may be my first match in GZWA, Molly, but this is by far not my first match ever. I have had other matches, in other federations against other opponents before but this match, this is my first match in GZWA and I want to make an impact. You have a lot to learn about me. All of the females in GZWA have a lot to learn about me. I don’t settle for second best. I’m first or not at all. I don’t stop until I get what I want and I want to be at the top of the totem pole or I will die trying. So this match of ours, I will use this match and you, Molly my sweet, as a stepping stone to the top. And believe me I WILL use you as a stepping stone to get to the very heights of this federation. Nothing personal, my sweet, that’s just good business.
(she sighs and brings her legs down and puts them in a cross legged Indian style position)
V: Molly, by now you have probably seen me wrestle IF you had bothered to get tapes on me. They aren’t hard to find, you just have to know where to look and if you have seen them you will come to find that I’m not an easy woman to play with. I’m a VERY dangerous when I can and want to be. Sure we can play and fool around in the ring. But when that time is right, you will feel death by diva and you WILL go down by my poison. I’m sure you have a gameplan going into this match as well. I’m sure you have some trick up your sleeve. I’m sure you’ll have something to put out my poison and fire. Rest assured, I too have something to put out your flame as well.
(she pauses, sighs and tries to continue but a dog runs by, stops, comes up to her, she pets him and the dog runs off and the owner calls over to apologize and she laughs and waves and the owner of the dog walks by. She continues)
V: Somewhere, sometime, in some other federation, someone had a phrase that went like this: “If you stare into hell, it tends to stare right back” Which means, Molly, you stare at me, I’ll stare right back. You want to play with me? I’ll play with you too. I’ll play your game and then I will go in for the kill and take you out. IF I have too, I will sacrifice myself to take you down. But remember this: My sweet, when you dance with this devil, you will feel death…by…diva. And we can dance, I dance very well. I play well with others… when I want too. It’s one of those times right that in this match, I’m feeling charitable and I’ll play well with you if you play well with me.
(she pauses and watches a couple of hot looking shirtless men run by, her eyes follow them but she doesn’t turn her head and then when they disappear from her line of sight she turns back to the camera)
V: My GAWD! They were HOT! I’m so horny now. (to herself) No Ves, focus. You are in the middle of a promo. (back to the camera) Now I’m not some female eye candy standing at ringside waiting to be put down. No, I’m in the ring WITH you, I AM focused for this match we have. And when I’m focused on something, I get what I want. I want this win because I want to advance up the female division totem pole. I will NOT lose. I don’t plan on going in and taking second place. I’m first place or not at all. You see my sweet, my aim is to go up in the GZWA. My aim is to become the best female this federation has EVER seen. I plan to win this match and then I plan to go up in prestige, in wins and in title reigns. What do you plan to do?
(she sighs and then points a lithe feminine finger towards the ocean)
V: Which brings me back to this: what do you see in your future out there? I don’t think what you see in the future out there is the same thing I see in the future out there. I think that unlike you, I know exactly where I want to go in that ocean. I know exactly what I want to do while I’m on that ocean. Will my actions in this match affect what happens to my future in the GZWA? They could but I’m a person who doesn’t believe fate is predetermined for me. I affect my own future, I affect my own destiny. I affect my own fate. And what my destiny in this federation is going to be is this: I plan to be on top. I plan to be the best this federation has ever seen. And whether you like it or not and whether you want it or not, you are along for the ride. You will watch the wave that is me, splash upon the shore of the GZWA and I WILL take what I can and dominate all.
(she puts her finger back down and looks back at the camera)
V: You, my sweet, will feel that Hanging Silence in the ring. It’s an aweful thing to hear because you don’t hear anything at all. It’s what death sounds like when you gaze into his face. And in this match, Molly, you WILL feel death by diva. I guarantee it.
(she closes her eyes and lays back on the blanket. She uncrosses her legs and stretches them out, she puts her hands on her belly and with each breathe they rise and fall. The camera pans around and back out to the ocean, the Tanker/Freighter that was out there before is now gone and the waves are smaller now but there are many more surfers out there.
