Note: For those who don't know, the Mega Busters' Twitter account is handled IC with all three characters having a conversation per tweet.
Several days following their loss on the previous episode of Primetime, we find the Mega Busters at the apartment that Matthew Miles and Kevin Allen (better known as Psycho Sagus) share together when they aren't on the road. Ashleigh is laid across the couch browsing the 'net on her tablet while Matt and Kevin are gathered around the television as they are broadcasting Capcom Unity's 30th Anniversary Mega Man event.
Ashleigh thumbs through the replies to their post-Primetime tweet:
Ashleigh is about to inform the boys, when the following video plays during the livestream...
Matt & Kev in unison: "OH SHIT, SON!! IT'S REALLY HAPPENING!!!!!"
After the boys find themselves unable to contain their excitement for a new Mega Man game announced by Capcom, Matt checks his phone to notice a text message from Mike Bradley:
"Carnage, Ryan, Psycho, Matthew, Ashleigh -
This is Mike Bradley. We all saw what you guys went through tonight. If you're in the mindset we think you are when it comes to The Machine, we've got a proposal for you. Meet us at the bar a block down from Skyline. Bring us up to speed. We'll buy you a beer and some wings, or whatever else you want to eat or drink."
Kevin looks over his shoulder and grins, "That's one long as hell text message. Who's his phone provider? I want those 280+ characters like Twitter, yo."
Ashleigh looks too, "Well, he IS seems to be speaking you guys' language though. But teaming up with that Carnage guy? I dunno. It's been cool that he's been tossing around everyone, especially the Machine, like trash bags, but who in their right mind would want to be anywhere near him when he's out for blood like a rampaging bull?"
Matt nods, "Yeah, someone has to be mental to make a hasty decision for an alliance or possible partnership with this set of the most unlikeliest of allies... Not that I don't disagree with the guy about doing something about the Machine..."
Then this pops up...
Ashleigh: "What's that guy's problem? First he invites us to hang out and try to be friends then he starts dissin' us?"
Kev: "Well, you are the one who always tweet our conversations on Twitter..."
Matt: "You got a point Kevin, but that's our thing. Y'know being insanely open with our thoughts without a care on what other people think?"
Kev: "Fair enough, but why do we have to bring my girlfriend into this. She never calls me mental..."
Ash: "She doesn't but her sister Alice always does."
Kev: "Man that's not cool she gets to make fun of me and I can't do anything for payback."
Ash: "Hey you were the one who started dating her sister when you knew Alice likes giving you a hard time."
Matt spat out his soda laughing at Ashleigh's snide remark. Kevin shakes his head as boots up the PlayStation 4.
Their conversation continued over the course of the next tweet.
Once again, a response pops up.
Ashleigh shook her head, "Seriously, what IS this guy's problem?"
Matt chimed in, "I hella respect what he's doing - fighting the good fight and all with his family behind him and all after all that traumatic crap that he's been through at the cost of his health outside of the ring. On the real though? I can't see us working together without us wanting to kill each other. That's not going to be beneficial to anyone when we're fighting ourselves instead of the real problem with the Machine."
Kev shrugged, "I totally agree there. Besides, I play Hanzo sometimes when I'm not maining D.Va and I don't see the problem... It's not like he's bottom tier like Widowmaker..."
Ash: "Shut the fuck up about Widowmaker, she's a bad ass."
Matt: "But we win more online when you're playing as Mercy and you know it, babe."
Kev: "I can't wait to see you go all Widowmaker on Susie Q."
Ash: "Of course only you would bring up that obscure movie about Amy Jo Johnson... I'm not scared of Susie Price. I've knocked Mary on her entitled rich ass in the past and I'll be more than happy to do the same to our resident Women's Champion. I mean, c'mon it's not like there's waiting line to get a shot against her. I don't even have to win the title - I just want to kick her ass."
Matt: "Don't get too anxious there, babe. Remember what happened with Blake..."
Ashleigh is silent for a moment and sighs heavily, "Yeah... you're right but this is different. Susie's had this coming for a while now. With everyone preoccupied with all of the tournaments going on, this is the perfect opportunity to show her that she's not going to sit on her throne unopposed."
Kevin scratches his head, "Ummm, exactly why are aren't we entering the Stardom Tag Team Classic?"
Ashleigh shrugged, "I was trying to talk Alice into coming back to the company and teaming with me for it to be honest... Unfortunately, she couldn't make the sign-ups in time. As for Stardom, I gave Matt the sign-up papers. Didn't you guys turn it in to the main office?"
Matt and Kevin look at each other and point at the other, speaking at the same time, "I THOUGHT YOU TURNED IT IN!!!"
Ashleigh facepalms, "Oh Mylanta... I can't believe you two sometimes..."
Matt spoke up, "Babe, you know we got really caught up in all of those Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals that it totally slipped our minds."
Kevin adds, "Plus we haven't been cleared for competition anyway after that last match. That's why Management gave us the night off."
Ash: "I thought that was stop us from sticking our noses in the Enforcers' business like they've been doing to everyone else..."
Matt: "Could be, but those guys seem to have an alarming number of targets on their backs any given week. They have a lot more than us small fry to worry about."
Ash: "True, but I'm still packing my gear for Primetime... and you two are coming with me. You may not be booked on the card, but it won't hurt to have you as my personal escorts for the evening. Afterwards, we can pick up Alice and her sister from the airport."
Kevin drops the controller in shock, "Ashley... MY Ashley's coming back to the States???"
Ash: "Yep, yep."
Matt: "I still don't understand how random it was that we BOTH ended up dating girls named Ashleigh and Ashley..."
Kevin: "But it's easy to tell 'em apart... Mean Ashleigh and Nice Ashley. See, simple!"
Ashleigh throws her shoe, knocking Kevin over the back of his head. Matt merely shook his head.
Kevin: "My bad... BOTH Ashleigh and Ashley are nice... Geez."
Ash: "That's what I thought..."
The trio share a laugh as the scene fades to black.
