Title: Champions vs.
The Clan Of Darkness
Setting: My home &
in my room
Time: Kids are asleep
It felt oh so real that moment when I pinnedKonrad Raab to advance to the Finals. Then beat Chance Justice for the vacated Television Championship. One of the proudest moments of my career. What could
top that but coming home to see my daughter Sarah walking her first steps
towards me with my championship on my shoulder. I hoisted her up and she squeal
patting my newly won championship. I did it for her that day. I did it for my
son Kenneth. No some can factor in IF Konrad Raab had been one hundred percent
I wouldn’t have advanced. Why was henot you ask? Because unlike Chance, Konrad had
ventured out to capture the WWH Wildcard Championship which is basically a
rechristened championship of yours truly becoming WWH Underground Champion back
last year. Since then I’ve been training my students at Futureside Wrestling
and also training with future wrestlers down at American Underground
Federation.
But duty calls as this week I take on the Darkness alongside Konrad. Who’s hopefully
better than he was last time we were in the ring together. In my room the
camera is set up next to my laptop as I hit the big red button on it’s side. It
makes a loud [BEEP] as I look into the camera as I think about all that has
happened in the last few months. Two friends in Kevin Moss & John Pariah
passed on. It burned a fire in me as I felt so much pain. I felt I needed to
give back to my community and to the fans. The best way I knew how was to win
the Television Championship and now even more so make sure we advance to the
finals of this tag tournament. I take moment to breath before speaking.
Nox: "As you can see today, I stand before you GZWA Television Champion.
It’s truly a proud moment for me. I came home to see my daughter walk for the
first time and wouldn’t you know it just so she can clap her tiny little hands
on this title. I want to thank all those involved in the tournament even Amanda
Cortez and that sore loser Chance Justice. I commend you Chance because at the
finals you tried to beat me & failed. But I had at least a fun time
fighting you.”
I log into the GZWA database to look around for any kind of promo of the
Darkness Clan when something of Chance Justice speaking of me catches my eye. I
listen to what Chance has to say and chuckle
Equinox: "The time will come when I get to Chance Justice a little bit
later, cause I might as well. The semi final match pits us against Doombringer
& Brother Zachariah. I’d like to talk about both but I know very little.
Brother Zacariah debuted shortly after me & has been quite an impressive
kind of cat. Who knows when we’ll mix it up in singles action. "
"Now Zach, may I call you Zach you remind me a
little of me. It’s safe to say you could become a champion in the future. Hell
if you beat us you could move on and beat the tag champs or Bradley Clan. Now
we’re looking at a new week and it’s me vs. You & Doombringer vs. Konrad or
vice versa. The best of which team will advance to face whomever has won the
semi-finals match up. Needs to be said that I look forward to the challenge you
bring.”
He chuckles as the lights start flickering a bit.
Equinox/TV Champion: "Now that brings me to Doombringer. You sir remind me
a bit of a certain Deadman that walks around in GZWA. In all honesty I wish I
was facing him in your place instead of you. Not because I fear you but because
he’d bring a bigger fight than you ever could & I happen to be some who
loves to fight. Doombringer that name makes me think of someone who just took
the largest crap in all of professional wrestling. Doombringer & Zach, you
know I have some respect for you and I know deep down you might have respect
for me & Konrad. “
I get up and close with the camera.
Equinox: "That leads me to my own tag partner, Konrad Raab the WWH Wildcard
Champion. We’ve got the Brother & The Doombringer. Are you prepared to beat
these two and go all out? I know I am. I know that no matter what we can
achieve victory and go to the finals. But I must say Konrad, your comments about
me sting a lot. Hopefully this week you’ll have something better to say.”
Running my hand through my hair, I continue
Equinox: "That brings me to you Chance because don’t think I forgot you whining
about losing to yours truly. I have to agree with Raab when he states you’re
nothing than a young boy whose a selfish brat. See I stated from the beginning
me coming to GZWA was to revive the GZWA Television Championship as a way to
give opportunities to the fans and those in the back. I wanted to make this
title just as important as the world title. I have a lot of experience as a
wrestler and a champion. Something you haven’t even broken into. That’s why I
became champion and not you.”
Equinox: "Now there's no doubt in my mind, Chance the fans enjoyed the
match we had. You can or anyone else can pick on my weaknesses which is fine
but I will rise above I promise you, IF you want a shot at me. EARN It, beat
Konrad Raab or even someone like Ry Drake.”
I smiled breifly
“You know Xion did say every match while I was champion would be a title match.
SO I expect Doombringer & Zachariah to bring their A game. I expect Konrad
to heal up and be ready to get that world title like I promised I’d help him
obtain."
Looking at the clock I realize its starting to get late.
Equinox: "I may have the least chance to help Raab win. But I made a
promise & I also made a promise to defend my championship so I am looking
forward to showing you guys the best two wrestlers in GZWA. I swear by the end
of it. You’ll see Konrad as world champion because he can carry this company just
like I can. Welcome to Wayward Dreams”
I didn’t want to say anymore as I was tired and the kids needed to be tucked in
as the video feed cuts out.
