Going to do something different for this post-show discussion thread since we have a few people "upset" about how the results turned out. I'm opening this thread before I post ReAction for IC reactions/comments. That way I can discuss the "method of my madness" so to speak before you pull out the pitchforks and torches.
Overall, god this was a segment-heavy show. I can only blame myself for that as I was building and setting up stuff for AFTER Reina de Reinas Tres. The next episode of Primetime will be replaced with that event instead. Details and adjusted deadlines will be posted shortly for those competing in that event.
Segment #1 -- Rocketts/Xion/Enforcers
Merely setting the stage for Rocketts' pending "death" at the hands of the Bradleys later in the show as the sacrificial lambs.
Segment #2 -- Susie Price returns on her throne
Susie Price told me well in advance that she's been under the weather for the last few weeks, so I've kept her off the cards for the most part. Regardless, she wanted to contribute to this show as we're honestly planning something for Reinas with Vi but haven't been able to line our schedules up properly to set that up yet.
Casey Cortez def. Laura Jackson
I wanted a hard-hitting affair, much like their match during Reinas last year, to hit home that they want nothing to do with each other anymore. Laura Jackson could take just as much as Casey (❤Rose❤ ) could dish out, but ultimately reached her breaking point at the end.
The Doombringer def. Carnage
My main objective for this match was merely stirring the pot and making people wonder on who's side is Doombringer really on. Is he willing to fight for or with the Machine? That's going to be the question that is going to be asked over the course of the next few weeks.
The Bradley Clan def. Rockett Security Inc.
This was literally a squash. No if's, and's, or but's. The Bradley Clan brought this idea to me last week and I was fine with this part of it.
Segment #3
Oh yes... Here's what I'm sure with what just about everyone who read the results thought they were in trouble for.
First off there's a typo in the following statement:
The correction is in bold. So to clarify, KingOfHighSpots has defended the title during the course of the tournament due to the ruling in effect since winning the revived title. He wasn't pinned nor forced to submit so the defenses stand. That typo is corrected in the original post/thread now.
For months on end, I've seen people mention in promos that Xion doesn't listen or does give opportunities, so I wanted to do my in-character version of "Corporate" Triple H's "If we don't get our way, Me and my friend Mark are going to quit watching!" as a response to the IC complaints and grievances on the roster. Xion's got a wedding coming up, trouble at home with his family, yada yada etc. Of course the man is going to be a bit high strung. On top of that, it was a lot of fact checking/clarifications as I've noticed a few people are getting details wrong in their promos. I can't speak for anyone else, but to see someone clearly not read the entirety of the show and not get the facts right after I painstakingly take my time to write the results makes me feel bad and wonder if I'm wasting my time with the effort. Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking ANY of you - we have a wealth of talented writers and creative minds from the top and bottom of the roster.
Senor Vinnie & Amanda Cortez def. Justin Lockhart & The Grand Zabrina
Call me crazy but I see this odd pairing of senorvinnie and Amanda like Goldust and Luna Vachon/Marlena from back in the Attitude Era. Their stuff makes you feel uncomfortable but IMO wrestling needs stuff like this - i.e. Velveteen Dream currently on NXT. The Grand Zabrina took the pin here and lost her "undefeated" streak, but Lockhart (Patrick ) didn't lose his momentum. I dunno if you four are continuing this feud or not though. Gotta admit I was amused at how you two where egging on the match to the anticipation of Zabby getting spanked. My only gripe on writing this match is that I didn't make that moment more special and built to that.
The Enforcers & Vanessa def. The Mega Busters
In retrospect, it would have made sense for the Bradleys or Carnage to show up to attack here, but given the relationship between those parties, I doubt they would've cared to help the Mega Busters in any shape or form, so it was better to keep this as a one and done affair.
Chance Justice def. Ryan Kendrick and Jayson Heagerty
senorvinnie wrote this one so I give him all of the props on this match for carrying out the unlikely alliance between Chance (❤Knightmare INC ) and Jayson (Patrick ) from their segment that aired prior to the start of this.
Crystal Hilton vs. Zora Graysen ends in a draw
Zora Graysen 's first match back and Crystal's (sarahrichardson ) first singles match in a while, so I wanted to make this end with a twist. I know that I do the double count out spot a lot, but haven't had it actually end a match in a while. With both ladies entering Reinas, I thought it would've been cool to end it on if they happened to meet up in the tournament at some point or renew/continue the rivalry after the tournament. (Shrugs) I dunno I just like giving you guys options to work with.
Segment #4
SinCityDollz cooked up this segment to continue the storyline of Xion and Brooklyn's daughter having issues with the couple's pending marriage and baby on the way. I'm merely on for the ride and anxious to see where this goes. Yes, Xion has a sister (two actually but I'm trying to keep them out of wrestling for the time being in the sake of this story). I'm just merely trying to flesh out his family outside of the wrestling world and adding a bit of reality to what Xion and his soon-to-be wife are dealing with away from work.
Talia Areano def. Lily Evol
In retrospect, I should have mentioned this in the results by commentary that Brooklyn wasn't in attendance tonight. I think the story still got across that the lack of her mentor had an effect on Lily's performance, allowing Talia Areano the upper hand. A pretty straight forward match and a well-deserved win for Talia going into Reinas looking strong.
Main Event: GZWA Tag Team Champions Bobbi Jackson and Dominique Frost def. Television Champion Equinox and Konrad Raab
Like commentary said at the start, I wrote this as a battle of the sexes of a sort. That was the impression I thought that Raab and Equinox were going for in their promos by undermining the tag champions' achievements up to this point and didn't respect women (namely Bobbi Jackson and TheFrosts ) in the least as capable challengers of their skills in this finale. So I wrote this match with the narrative being that the ladies were attempting to prove themselves in their eyes - hoping to earn their respect. I made sure that the boys got in more than enough hard-hitting offense while the ladies got in some too and making sure this wasn't one-sided in the least.
Equinox didn't get pinned (retaining the TV title in the process as he was thrown out of the ring during the finish), "The Iceman" Konrad Raab did in the end result. And even then, it could have went either way in my eyes.
In future reference, if any of you have an issue with the results bring it up to ME personally via PM. Not on social media/personal Twitter.

First off there's a typo in the following statement:
The Television Championship is a SINGLES championship - in no shape or form that this is defended in co-champion format. The fact that the title has not been defended in a one-on-one basis since crowning the champion during the TV Title Special is that Equinox was still competing in that tournament
The correction is in bold. So to clarify, KingOfHighSpots has defended the title during the course of the tournament due to the ruling in effect since winning the revived title. He wasn't pinned nor forced to submit so the defenses stand. That typo is corrected in the original post/thread now.
