As noted, this was the last episode of Primetime before the upcoming Riot Control PPV set for the end of May.
I'm going to shoot everyone a mass-PM when I get home from work to ask around again, but if you haven't done so already, I'm asking around to everyone (past and present - including those of you alumni/former members who have been perving the forums lately) if you want to participate on the Riot Control show.
I don't think there's not too much to discuss about this show since it's pretty straight-forward. I cut out the contract signing bit between Fujiko and Vi since I couldn't get ahold of Vi since her handler is dealing with exams IRL at the moment, so that's going to either on ReAction or for the pending "press conference" open RP I'm going to have for advertising the PPV on the GZWA blog page and on Facebook.
Segment #1 - The Machine decides on their "prize" that they won from the last broadcast; followed by rebuttal from the Bradley Clan
❤AC❤CC❤RC❤ and I discussed it immediately following the last episode of Primetime on what we were going to do here. Casey doesn't want an edge/advantage in the Riot Match, so the Machine grants her wish while maintaining to heel it up to make the Bradleys' lives miserable since they "volunteered" for the opening spots in the Riot Match.
Equinox def. Konrad Raab and Brother Zachariah to retain the Television Championship in a Triple Threat Ladder Match
I seriously had writers' block on this match like twice over the past week and a half. It wasn't until I watched MCMG vs. Generation Me (Young Bucks in TNA) on IMPACT Wrestling's 24/7 Twitch stream on a whim that I got a few ideas for I wanted to do here. "The Iceman" Konrad Raab and I discussed on what direction we're going after this show, so for storyline sake it wouldn't have made sense for him to win here. Zachariah I was really leaning towards too, but I think Brother Zachariah and KingOfHighSpots can keep this feud going for at least another big singles outing between them. At the end of the day, I settled with keeping the gold on Equinox for now.
I thank all three of you for the great roleplays for making it a struggle to decide a winner. Seriously, I really do enjoy when you guys and gals make it hard for me to choose. That's the half of the fun of making it fun with the stories that we're all telling here.
Amanda Cortez, Rose Cortez, and Senor Vinnie def. Justin Lockhart, Ryan Kendrick, and The Grand Zabrina
I entrusted senorvinnie to write this match, but this was one of the many matches on this card that had obvious outcomes from handlers either no showing the RP deadlines. I applaud Vinnie for making this a fun read though. I'm sure The Grand Zabrina and Amanda will enjoy themselves with this one on social media.
Talia Areano def. Mariah (via count out)
It's not mentioned at the end of the match, but Mariah pretty much lost due to count out since she left and went backstage. Talia Areano confessed to me on Twitter that she unintentionally missed the deadline and apologized as this was a match that she was really looking forward to. I thought about it for a few days on the finish and I honestly felt that Mariah's character wouldn't want to win like this. As a result, I went with the finish here that I'm to stick with as it leaves the door open if we were to revisit it again down the road.
Zora Graysen def. Crystal Hilton
I don't know what happened but sarahrichardson said she was going to send in something for the show but never did. Kept this storyline and feud with OhMyZora going and gave Zora the decisive victory here after their match that ended in a draw a few weeks ago.
Laura Jackson def. Legion in a Reina de Reinas Tres Rematch
legion honestly told me beforehand that she wouldn't be able to make it for this show, so I can't fault her in the least that since she gave me the heads up. I still tried to make her and Laura's match worth the read with a heavy-hitting affair. I dunno if the two WWH alumni want to keep this going or not, but I enjoyed writing this one.
Lily Evol def. Sarah Richardson
SinCityDollz is taking a LOA as she adjusts to her new employment IRL so I doubt she's going to want Lily booked after this show while sarahrichardson wants to drop Sarah Richardson for one of her other characters after this show. I'm finding that a little ironic, given that's her account's namesake.
The Frosts (w/ Bobbi Jackson) def. Knightmare INC (Jayson Heagerty & Chance Justice) and The Bradley Clan (Danielle Bradley & Kris Williams; w/ Jesse Bradley) to retain the GZWA Tag Team Championships
Much like the Television Championship match, I was split on my decision-making here. I continued to push Knightmare Inc as a force to be reckoned with here from bell to bell with a lot of close-calls while keeping the Bradleys in the action as well, since I didn't want to sell them short. Even though the Frosts were heels before they aligned themselves with Bobbi, I like writing them collectively as the babyface underdogs in these matches. Not because they are women, but for the fact that they are constantly wanting to prove themselves and push harder. Again, I'd like to applaud everyone who contributed to this match in terms of getting roleplays in.
Main Event: Steel Cage Match - Casey Cortez vs. Mike Bradley vs. Carnage vs. The Doombringer ends in a draw after both Casey and Mike are sent crashing through the cage wall simultaneously
Carnage said he was going to get something in but didn't hear from him. Regardless, I wanted to make this main event a fun read for all involved. I didn't see WWE's "Greatest Royal Rumble" until AFTER I already outlined this match with the finish, but I wasn't going to change it anyway despite the same result for the Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns match. My goal here was to continue making The Doombringer's motivations unclear along with keeping everyone guessing on which side is he aligned, Mike looking for payback after his defeat suffered at the hands of Casey, and both Carnage and Casey looking strong going into the upcoming PPV.
