Two weeks following the events of Primetime, an unique meeting was taking place at the GZWA Headquarters...
Xion Zeros | GZWA Chairman: “Mr. Raab, I’ve called you to my office because I think it’s long overdue that I address your concerns with the company and the talent.”
Konrad Raab | The Iceman: “I’m glad that you’ve taken the time to see me. You have a problem on your hands with your roster. None of your women or some men for that matter take wrestling seriously with competitive nature or present yourselves as champions that don't promote their titles on the shows.”
Xion Zeros: “Let me cut you off right there. In all due respect, who are YOU to be gauging the merits of who should be doing what and what not with their careers? I’m the one who books the matches and organizes these cards. Anyone can come to me without clearing it with you or any reigning champion for that matter and ask for a match. Doesn’t mean that I’m going to bend over backwards like a genie coming out of wishing lamp and grant every single one of their wishes and petty demands either. I want you to only concern yourself with just YOU and your own goals. Leave worrying about everyone else to me.”
Konrad Raab: “What about women like Amanda Cortez who are only here to flaunt their bodies?”
Xion Zeros: “What about that guy from Godknowswhere who’s going around pulling a lollipop out of his underwear and inviting people to suck on it or using his dick to fling people around? That’s just as degrading to this sport, but everyone has some niche that they are looking for in their wrestling - the competitive atmosphere or merely entertainment. In Miss Corez’s case, I have corrected you on multiple occasions and I’ll do so again… She works for me to pay off her debts that I paid as a favor to her family at the time to get her healthy as she was dealing with drug abuse. Fast forward years later with interest - she owes me a rather large sum of money for all of that. Unless you or anyone else have roughly a few hundred million dollars just sitting around that you’re using as toilet paper that you would like to pony up to fulfill that debt, then she’s staying in service to me.
Before you even bring it up… she’s barred from entering the Riot Match for the vacant World title and the Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match at Riot Control. Happy, now?”
Konrad Raab: “Not really when you still have her Zabby spank each other during matches. This place is turning into an entertainment circus than about the wrestling and I didn’t come here to see that garbage happening on a consistent bases on top of you forcing Amanda to compete for a title when we knew she would treat the GZWA World title like shit.”
Xion Zeros: “Are you blind? Amanda won the World title fair and square. She forfeit it to me the following night in hopes of fulfilling said debt. The Board of Directors said I can’t hold the title personally, henceforth our current dilemma that had the title vacated. You say she treated it like shit when she didn’t even hold it long enough to make a cup of coffee. You want Zabrina and Amanda’s matches stopped when they start spanking each other? Be my guest and go out and stop them when they start that nonsense. That is ONE match out of many competitive matches on our cards. I haven’t seen you acknowledge anyone outside of Equinox for their hard work. We’ve had an entire event devoted to all of the women busting their asses for the Queen of Queens Championship followed by a title for title match between that reigning champion and the Women’s Champion. Susie Price has been sidelined with injuries from what she put through in that match and no one gave her props for that performance. You ask where the champion is? Vi Malkov and the winner of the Reinas tournament - Fujiko Mine, are both set to face off at Riot Control to boot. Where are the tag team champions you ask? They have been on every show and haven’t missed a single live event appearance. Whether it’s man or woman, they’ve stepped up to every challenge put in their way. Once Riot Control is over, we’ll have a new World Champion that will continue to spread what the GZWA brand is all about - in and out of the ring, carrying that title with pride.”
Konrad Raab: “While they’ve been there, they took six months to defend the tag titles and the only time they ever promote themselves as champions is when they are told to on their video set at home. Not like they told people to step up to them to defend the titles or doing something about it other than sitting around doing nothing for months on end? Also maybe I haven’t given anybody else but Equinox props because he’s the only one who’s busted his ass for his belt consistently along with the hard work he’s put in. If Susie Price is out with an injury, wouldn’t it be logical to strip her from the belt instead of seeing it as a dead division? I speak up because unlike those wrestlers in the back, I care about the wrestling business and I stand my ground when I think things are going to crap which they are. I think wrestlers should step up more and do something cos I’m that close of leaving this place because of lack of competition there is here.”
Xion Zeros: "Jesus FUCKING Christ... DO YOU DO ANYTHING BUT LISTEN TO YOURSELF TALK? SUSIE PRICE ISN'T THE CHAMPION. Vi is holding BOTH Women's titles. Susie can't compete so there's a #1 contender's match being held to determine a new challenger. You and all of this "because you told them to..." nonsense. Fine, I'm TELLING you you're out of the Riot Match. You want to be so jaded and biased towards your friend Equinox, I could strip him of his title if you have a problem with that since you both seem to be dead set on believing that there's no competition for you. That would solve your problem for lack of competition in a heartbeat when the wolves come running for that vacant title just like when it was first introduced. You want people to step up left and right but have an issue comprehending that I'm not giving anyone a free pass to anything. If they want to be a champion then they have to earn it. I merely present the opportunity with the door wide open. It's not my fault when people allow it to hit them in the face. Perfect example? That very same Television Championship Special that you lost to your good buddy Equinox in the first round.
If you want to leave this place, then be my guest. I’m not going to beg you to stick around. If you’re so goddamn miserable I don’t see why you’re still here to begin with. I present you with those options - Either walk out of my door and never compete as part of this company again while you willingly watch your so-called friend lose everything that he worked for thanks to your own stubborn, irrational behavior or you simply sit this Riot Match out for the title you claim that want to much to make your line in the sand as the creme of the crop so to speak and witness that there’s plenty of competition that you seek. You’re just blinded to it.
I honestly think you should consider the latter as I have spoken to your wife. You need to step away a bit and think about what you’re doing and saying. If you haven’t noticed, you’ve been going around like an angry child from the way you’ve been spouting off at the mouth left and right, hoping to get your way by throwing your weight around. Allow me to put it into perspective, if Amanda Cortez goes away - she’s still employed in MULTIPLE other promotions and entities. It’s not like you’re going to wipe her from existence like Thanos with the Infinity Stones. You’re going around discrediting EVERYONE on the roster for not living up to your standards? Okay, how would you feel if you woke up to someone telling you that everything in your life didn’t matter? That’s essentially what you’re doing here. Until you can see that’s exactly what you are doing then I honestly can’t help you."
Konrad Raab: “Oh, I see everything now, wanting to screw Equinox because we have the same views when he’s put in work every single week as well. He’s been begging for competition for sometime and yet, me and Zachariah are the only ones who have stepped up for titles. Wrestlers need to start to care more for their belts and actually attempt to show wrestlers outside of GZWA what we’re about. Me and Samuel were gonna bring in more than a few people in the company because we went out there to promote the belts and people cared about it to get wrestlers to join GZWA. I’ll leave right now and put up with crap I’m seeing when I return.”
Konrad scoffs off from the scene and leaves the office room and the arena to do other things and Xion sorts out paperwork from his office.
Shortly after Konrad left, Brooklyn steps into the room, "That didn't sound too good. Sucks that he had to go like that."
Xion stood up and kissed his pregnant wife, smiling, "On the contrary, that went exactly as planned. Mariah's a saint and she couldn't talk sense into that guy. I knew I wouldn't be able to bring him to my side of thinking."
Brooklyn snuggled against her husband, "Sounds like me and that brick wall named Lily Evol... woman wouldn't listen to a damn thing I'm trying to enlighten her on." She sighs, "So what's next then?"
Xion smirks, "As a wise man once said, we'll miss 'em at first and thank him for his contributions to our sport, but the show must go on with 'em. Simple as that. We have a PPV to promote after all."
"Mary's still waiting for you to return her calls, by the way."
Xion sighs, "Ugh, that can wait until tomorrow... Let's go pick up Tiana and get dinner. I've had enough of these headaches around here for one day."
"Ha, leave that mess for Serena to deal with."
"Good point." Xion hits the intercom to the secretary at the front desk. "Forward my calls to my cell. I'm going to be out of the office the rest of the day."
Secretary: "Will do, Mr. Zeros."
Mr. and Mrs. Zeros exited the building to leave in the limousine that awaited them, not knowing that someone else was watching their every move from afar.
