The amount of people who no showed this event and/or sent in late promos was rather alarming. I know with school starting back up in August things are going to get a bit busy for a lot of you IRL, but do I need to change the deadline dates around or what? It's pretty hard for me to do match-writing when I don't got nothing to work with. Let me know if you got something coming up and I will keep you off the card(s) for you won't have to no show. To clarify, I'm not coming down on anyone just honestly want to know what's going on for no one will get left behind. Those of you who did get stuff in, I thank you from the highest.
I'm going to post the match card for the next show immediately following this post and ReAction (aftershow) going up. I implore you all to don't wait until the last second to get something in before deadlines. Something could not go your way IRL or any other mishap. Take the time to organize your thoughts and plan out where you want to go with your characters. It's highly beneficial in the long haul.
Queen of Queens Championship Match - Fujiko Mine (c) def. Rose Cortez to retain
First thanks to Fujiko Mine signing up to the boards and joining us for this appearance on this episode. As requested by ❤Rose❤ I got in a few spots where Amanda attempted to get involved, only for Xena to put her down for good in the end, despite all of the foul play from both Rose and Amanda. All in all, I had fun writing this one. Starting to feel a little more comfortable with both Fujiko and Rose's movesets in terms of how to portray them in matches.
DoA Elimination Chamber Match Qualifier - The Doombringer def. Casey Cortez
Wrote this one as a "monster mash" of sorts, but ultimately felt like it would make for the better story for The Doombringer to go over here, especially when Casey's had the upper hand on him since the PPV. It was time for closure of sorts in this feud when it was finally on a one-on-one basis.
DoA Elimination Chamber Match Qualifier - Mike Bradley def. Carnage
I was little confused that The Bradley Clan did a promo for Kris but not for Mike and Danielle individually. Maybe I missed something but I gave him credit here since all of the Bradleys were involved in some fashion in that promo, whereas Carnage no showed this deadline.
GZWA Television Championship Match - Equinox (c) def. Laura Jackson to retain
There was quite the dilemma on this one. Naturally, both Laura Jackson and KingOfHighSpots both missed the deadline for this card, but I gave Equinox credit for the win here since he was the first one to get something in after the fact. Equinox keeps asking and begging for a challenge and boy do I have one for him and senorvinnie on the next show...
Kris Williams def. Ryan Kendrick
Another no show, another easy win, this time for The Bradley Clan. What happened Squall Leonhart?
Sarah Richardson def. Bella Sinclair
Randomized the result here since know why Taralyn Skye/Bella Sinclair is missing deadlines and it's not my place to entail those details. I just gave both ladies something to follow up on if they wanted to when they are able. I was actually contacted by sarahrichardson this morning. She wants to drop Sarah and replace her with a new character to have a fresh start for her secondary character.
Mei Long def. Taralyn Skye via DQ
❀ℋine 'ea❀ admitted to having nothing in the tank in terms of creativity going for Mei Long while I randomized the result here as well. Once again, I went with a finish here to give both ladies something to go with if they wanted to make a feud/story out of this down the road.
The Clique & Genesis def. Knightmare INC & Justin Lockhart
The whole series of events in this match outside of the first exchange leading to the run-ins (written by me, of course) was the brainchild of ♡☈ɑ√əη and DΔShΞR. ❤Knightmare INC and Patrick signed off on the idea, even though we haven't heard from Genesis. Patrick wishes to continue the feud between Lockhart and Genesis while Mel wants to continue building towards a Clique vs Knightmare INC match.
Triple Threat Match - Talia Areano def. Zora Graysen and Danielle Bradley
Mary's decision to make the winner of this match be the next challenger for the Women's Championship was a last second decision as I was writing this show. I'll admit that. I wrote this match after outlining the main event, so I knew where I wanted to go with this in terms of the women involved. Danielle's still after her revenge on Crystal, while Talia Areano and Zora Graysen are trying to prove themselves. Win, lose, or draw, there's stories to be made here for everyone involved.
Mariah def. The Grand Zabrina
The Grand Zabrina no showed this card, so that defaulted for Mariah here. A damn shame too as I was honestly looking forward to working with her. I guess that leaves me free to commit fully with this program with DΔShΞR between MiMi and Jaser now.
Vignette Airs Teasing the Return of The Slammer
I promised The Slammer that I would do something to get her name out there on this set of results while we have a plan going forward for her first set of matches until someone wants to feud with her.
Agostino Romano def. Brother Zachariah
Agostino Romano picked up an easy win in his debut after Brother Zachariah no showed the deadline. I don't know why but I was struggling to write this as a "comedy" match even though that's what Romano is gunning for with this character. Then again, there's no problem with making the match serious. Just look at the current G1 Climax whereas the comedy wrestler Yano is wrestling his ass off this year in serious, competitive matches. If Eric Young of all people can evolve into a wrestler to be taken seriously then there's hope for efed characters to do the same if that's their handlers' wish. I don't see any problem with it.
Main Event: Women's Championship Match - Vi Malkov (c) def. Crystal Hilton to retain
After reading both Vi. and sarahrichardson's promos I couldn't help but love both sides of this. At the same time, I wasn't going to write this as a heel vs heel match as that would be boring. I asked her permission first and used Crystal's recent marriage to Seleana Zdunich as pivotal spot in two points in this match. One to get her fired up and the other during the finish. With the finish, I wanted to make it like Mustache Mountain's NXT Tag Title defense against Undisputed Era where Tyler Bate couldn't stand seeing his mentor and partner in the hold, knowing that he was already injured and threw in the flag. Crystal expressed wanting to work with Vi again so we can always come back to this feud as Crystal never technically gave up here. At the same time, I ended the show with a stand off between the new challenger, Talia, and Vi staring down.
